A Design and Implementation of Context Information Gathering System for Contents Adaptation Service

This paper proposes a context gathering system that obtains user's environment information from sensor and generates user's context profile. To design the system, we classify context and design context model based on traditional context-aware computing. The proposed system supports contexts adaptation service by gathering user's environment characteristics and biological characteristics and generating user profile.

The need for ASP(Application Service Provider) has evolved from the increasing costs of specialized software that have far exceeded the price rage of small to medium sized businesses. There are a lot of technologies that make ASP possible, and software streaming service is one of them Software streaming is a method for overlapping transmission and execution of stream-enabled software. The stream-enabled software is able to run on a device even while the transmission/streaming of the software may still be in progress. Thus, a user does not have to wait for the completion of the software's download prior to starting to execute the software. In this paper, we suggest the new concept of software streaming system implement using the PageFault Interrupt Routine Hooking. As it is able to efficiently manage application, we do not have to install the entire software. In addition, we can save hardware resources by using it because we load basic binaries without occupying the storage space of the hardware.
The directional partial dominant pruning algorithm for efficient message forwarding in an wireless ad-hoc network

The most efficient method to reduce duplicated messages is a partial dominant pruning for receiving and forwarding messages by in-fly format on the mobile ad hoc network. In this paper, we propose directional partial dominant pruning method by expanding partial dominant pruning for reducing not only number of forwarding nodes but number of antenna elements on the ad hoc network with directional antennas. by simulation, we prove superiority that average number of forwarding nodes for each antenna element and the ratio of duplicated messages for each nodes rather than existing partial dominant pruning method though the number of antenna elements are increasing rather than in case of using omni antennas

Since 9.11 terrorist attacks against the USA, the new paradigm for "supply chain security" has been established. And at the same time a lot of researches are being made on supply chain security by many foreign companies or research institutes. However, domestically the terms "supply chain security" themselves are not yet familiar, and the paradigm of security are not being used in the logistics, while little researches are being made on them But recently along with development of "ConTracer," a supply chain security technology, which is to be used as the equipment for container cargo transportation safety based on RF1D technology, related researches have begun to be activated. The key issues for the development of equipment for container transportation safety are to obtain both a high recognition rate and enough recognition distance. To this end, this study has tested the ConTracer (433 MHz type and 2.4 GHz type) by using Taguchi Method. According to our test results, in the case of 433 MHz type, it is a little more effective that the reader faces to the front-right side, and in the case of 2.4 GHz, reader direction does not make difference in the view of sensitivity. The test also has proved that it is better that antenna location, as expected, is to be installed on the outside for both types alike.

Since 1990 when order communication system(OCS) was first introduced, the use of information technology in medical service has been widely accepted in order to enhance quality and customer relationship as well as to increase managerial efficiency. Medical information system is rapidly increasing and is trying to make ubiquitous healthcare environment through telemedicine system. Especially, medical profession and government have taken interest in electronic medical record (EMR) system which can digitalize and manage all medical records in hospitals. By recording patient's medical information in real time, EMR system can improve service efficiency and customer service quality including short waiting time, various utilization of clinic information, and reduced cost.
Implement of Vehicle Sensor System Using Wireless Communication and Mobile Device

In this paper, a system which uses Bluetooth and Zigbee wireless communication and mobile device is designed. The temperature within vehicle and the distance betweeen the vehicle and the obstacle is measured by ultrasonic sensor system. The measured data is sent to the mobile PDA and displayed to assist safe driving.
Investigating the Impacts of IT Strategy on IT Investment and Management Performance in SCM Companies

A great number of companies continue to invest heavily in information technology such as SCM The reasons for this investment vary, but the principal belief is that they will use the technology to gain competitive advantage in today's highly dynamic and changing business market. In order to identify the SCM management performance, this study investigates the impacts of information technology strategy(operation-oriented and market-oriented) on the information technology investment direction(internal system orientation and external system orientation), process innovation level and management performance(non-financial performance and financial performance). This study collected data on-line and off-line from enterprises which implement the supply chain management. The 82 responses were used for the statistical analysis.
Hardware Abstraction Architecture for Low Cost Flash Memories in Wireless Sensor Nodes

In this parer, we propose a hardware abstraction architecture(HAA) for low cost flash memories that can be applicable to wireless sensor nodes. The proposed HAA consists of three layers. The three layers are 1) HHL(Hardware Interlace Layer), HAL(Hardware Adaption Layer), and HPL(Hardware Presentation Layer), where HIL provides a platform independent interlace to applications of upper layers, HAL performs hardware resource management, program status control, and generation of logical instructions as main core of the HAA, and HPL initializes hardware and communicates data between MCU and flash memory. We implemented our HAA on AT45DB flash memory, and the HAA used 4,384 bytes program memory and 195 bytes data memory respectively. Since the proposed HAA is composed of well defined three layers and shows a low utilization of memory, it can provides a high efficiency in terms of flexibility, scalability, and re-usability, and thus the HAA is well suited for wireless sensor nodes.
Authentication Protocol for Inter-Vehicle Communication in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

In VANET, it is required one-way broadcast transmission because vehicles move at high speed and warning messages need to broadcast. our protocol employs digital signatures to authenticate nodes along the path. this prevents impersonation attacks and message modification attacks. our protocol also employs the node list to recognize intermediate nodes of the path. The node list, the time, and the nonce can prevent replay attacks.
