Vehicle Registration Protocol for Secure Communication in VANET Environment

To operate safely VANET applications, authenticaton is necessary to identify val d participants and prevent malicious parties from modifying messages. This paper proposes an efficient authentication protocol for the vehicle registration in VANET environment. The topology of VANET changes rapidly due to high-speed movement of vehicles, thus it is need to reduce the computational burden of the authentication protocol. Therefore, this protocol uses only one-way hash functions and EOR operations to register vehicles.
A Study on Radio Resource Management for Multi-cell SC-FDMA Systems

This study proposes a rad o resource management scheme to maximize the performance of the LTE(Long Term Evolution) uplink, using SC-FDMA(Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access). Rather than the single-cell SC-FDMA system the existing studies are mainly concerning, this study focuses on multi-cell system which needs considering the interaction among cells. Radio resource management is divided into two phases, planning and operation phases. The former is for the master eNB(e-NodeB) to allocate RBs(radio bearer) to eNB, the latter for eNB to assign RBs to the mobiles in the cell. For each phase, an optimization model and greedy algorithm are proposed. Optimization models aim to maximize the system performance while satisfying the constraints for both QoS and RB continuity. The greedy algorithms, like generic ones, move from a solution to a neighboring one having the best objective value among neighboring ones. From the numerous numerical experiments, the performance and characteristics of the algorithms are analyzed. This study is expected to play a volunteering role in radio resource management for the multi-cell SC-FDMA system.
ECPS: Efficient Cloud Processing Scheme for Massive Contents

Major IT vendors expect that cloud computing technology makes it possible to reduce the contents service cycle, speed up application deployment and skip the installation process, reducing operational costs, proactive management etc. However, cloud computing environment for massive content service solutions requires high-performance data processing to reduce the time of data processing and analysis. In this study, Efficient_Cloud_Processing_Scheme(ECPS) is proposed for allocation of resources for massive content services. For high-performance services, optimized resource allocation plan is presented using MapReduce programming techniques and association rules that is used to detect hidden patterns in data mining, based on levels of Hadoop platform(Infrastructure as a service). The proposed ECPS has brought more than 20% improvement in performance and speed compared to the traditional methods.
Change Detection of Hangul Documents Based on X-treeDiff+

The change detection of XML documents is a major research area. However, though XML becomes a file format for Hangul documents, research on change detection of Hangul documents based on the characteristics of Hangul documents is rather scarce. Since format data in Hangul documents are very large, which is different from ordinary XML documents, it is not proper to apply general XML change detection algorithms such as X-treeDiff+ to Hangul documents without any change. In this paper, we propose new contents-based matching algorithm and implement it in X-treeDiff+. The result of our testing shows better performance for most documents in editing process.
Forensic Investigation of External USB Drive

Because of portable storage device's technical improvement, it's speeding up the conversion of mass storage. It means it's easier to move and save data. Generally, USB is using for portable storage device and forensic perspective, it's possible us to study data drain through portable storage device under securement of using vestige of USB. If we can secure using vestige of USB from boot domain it's possible to investigate data drain & prove criminal act. This thesis is suggesting Key/Thumb drive & USB Drive Enclosure's confirmation of using or not and division way though Disk Signature analysis.
Virtual reality application on MFL gas pipeline inspection system

This paper describes a visualization technique that animates geometrical defect data that are extracted using a magnetic flux leakage (MFL) operating system on nondestructive evaluation (NDE). Since data are collected from different locations and often not regular, the data must be converted to the standard format that is used within the pipeline in visualization procedures. In order to navigate inside of the pipeline, 3D virtual objects are generated and are able to explore the pipeline continuously. The major objectives of this paper are to characterize, generate general shape of defects, and enable computer interaction in virtual environment. Pipeline navigation system (PNS) has introduced the framework for interactive visual applications based upon the principles of modeling 3D objects. PNS presents some preliminary efforts to enable the user to interact human and computer with each other.
Design and Implementation of Biometrics Security System Using photoplethysmogram

Biometrics are methods of recognizing a person based on the physiological or behavioral characteristics of his of her body. They are highly secure with little risk of loss or falsification by others. This paper has designed and implemented a security system of biometrics by precisely measuring heartbeat signals at two fingertips and using a photoplethysmogram, which is applicable to biometrics. A performance evaluation has led to the following result. The security system of biometrics for personal authentication which has been designed and implemented by this study has achieved a recognition rate of 90.5%. The security system of biometrics suggested here has merits of time saving and easy accessibility. The system is touch-based and collects the necessary biometrics information by simply touching the machine with fingers, so anyone can utilize the system without any difficulty.
X-File Viewer on a Mobile Platform

In this paper, we propose a mobile document viewer which is executable on a variety of mobile platforms. The proposed viewer is designed with file decoding engine and independent module which are adopted with os independent. The proposed viewer can be used as a basis of document editing tool by analyzing the characteristics of the document file.
Impact of IS Employees' Interpersonal Conflict on Turnover Intention

The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effects of the Leader-member exchange(LMX) on relationship between the interpersonal conflict and turnover intention. Since effective management of IS personnel is important issue for the IS related researchers and practitioners since their turnover rate has been known to be high and skilled personnel have been in short supply. We develop the hypotheses from the prior studies and empirically testing them in the context of IS personnels from various companies located in vicinity of capital city of Korea. This empirical study show interesting results. Good leader-member exchange has the moderating effect on the management of interpersonal conflict level and drastic reduction of the turnover behavior. Based on the analyzed results, we discussed the theoretical implications and limitations.
A Study on the influence of e-Service Quality of Internet Open-Market as Perceived Value, Customer Satisfaction and e-Loyalty

Competition in Internet open-market has become fiercer as much for its growth possibility in differentiating from the general commercial market. For this reason, internet open-market entrepreneurs should make effective strategy in improving customers' e-loyalty to survive in the highly competitive internet open-market as in off-line market and to aim for growth through constant profit making. To satisfy with the goal, this study has been performed as the empirical research that confirms to the influence and relationship of e-service quality affected on the perceived value, customer satisfaction and e-loyalty. This is based on the result that e-service quality affected on e-loyalty for internet open-market. The research results are shown as follows; first, all factors including the perceived value and customer satisfaction, except possibility of system use, have the effect of e-service quality. Second, the perceived value between measurements affects significantly on customer satisfaction. And third, the perceive value and the customer satisfaction are a1so meaningfully influential to e-loyalty. The result presents important point that entrepreneurs in Internet open-market need to do their best to maintain in making profits for the future by improving the customers' e-loyalty and securing customers with high loyalty via continually revealing new influential factors on e-service quality, perceived value, and customer satisfaction.
