Security Certification for DHCP Power-Saving System

Abstract The DHCP power saving system provides advantage to driving active participation in which users installs the power saving software by restricting IP address through the power management server. However, the problem with this approach is the vulnerability to IP spoofing attacks, therefore we need to solve the mistake that disrupt the entire network system rather than saving electric power. In this paper, we propose the authentication system that can implement the efficiency saving power by providing high security for the members' computer system of the public institutions based on the saving power system.
Face recognition of Intra-red Images for Interactive TV Control System

In this parer, face recognition method which can be applied to ITCS (interactive TV control system) is proposed. We extracted ULBP(uniform local binary pattern) histogram feature from infra-red images, and we detected left-right eyes and face region by using SVM classifier. Then, We implemented face recognition system which is using Gabor transform and ULBP histogram feature and applied to personal verification for ITCS.
A Study of Real-time Service on Retransmission Slot in LR-WPAN

In this paper, we propose a scheme for real-time data retransmission in LR-WPAN to support the required QoS even in the severe channel error environments. In IEEE 802.15.4a, as the user data rate is supported up to 850Kbps, the real-time streaming data can be transferred more easily. In this research, we study the beacon-enabled mode in IEEE 802.15.4 LR-WPAN standard. In the proposed scheme, special slots are dynamical1y assigned for retransmission of the packet that fails during a real-time data service, and in the severe channel error environments a time diversity is acquired. Analytical results show that the proposed scheme is more robust and achieves a much higher throughput than the previous protocol in LR-WPAN.
Implementation of the Discriminating System for Surround Illuminants Using Output Voltage Ratio of Photo Sensor

In this paper, We implemented discriminating system for various surround illuminants using photo sensor. To discriminate surround illuminants of display device we implemented discriminating system using photo sensor which has output of Ye and Cy. Experimental results shows that we could discriminate surround illuminants by output voltage ratio (Ye/Cy) of photo sensor in the variable luminous intensity of surround illuminants.

In this paper, we discuss the program implementation and system optimization for the effective transfer of huge amount of data. In VLBI which is observing the celestial bodies by using radio telescope hundreds thousands km apart, it is necessary for each VLBI observatory to transfer up to terabytes of observed data. For this reason, e-VLBI research based on advanced network is being actively carried out for the transfer of data efficiently. Following this trend, in this paper, we discuss design & implementation of system for the high speed Gbps data transfer rates. As a data transfer protocol, we use UDP for designing data transmission program with much higher speeds than currently available via VTP(VLBI Transport Protocol). Tsunami-UDP algorithms is applied to implementing data transfer program so that transmission performance could be maximize, also we make it possible to transfer observed data more fast and reliable through optimization of computer systems in each VLBI statopm.
Design and Implementation of a Customizing Learning System

Through the use of Internet, we can now exchange large amount of information in quick seconds, and provide learners abundant amount of information at the same time. However, the amount of information is so large and limitless that learners cannot learn and process everyone of them. This study focuses on the Customizing learning system for personalized needs, which aims to reduce the amount of "unnecessary" information, to collect educational information of learners' needs, and also to provide useful information individually to each learners. Customizing system is designed to recognize learners' needs individually, and to analyze and collect any information based on the learning assessment. Through this system, being given only the necessary information, learners can increase their efficiency in studying and reach their study goal at the same time.
The Study of Forecasting Game Usage Hours Using Time Series Analysis

Forecasting game usages hours can supply good information resolving intensive server access and ensuring stable game service. In this paper, we applied various time series analysis methods to forecast game usage hours in 2009 on famous "Ion" and "Sudden Attack" games. According to the experiment, the seasonal variation method showed better performance forecasting actual usage hours.
Assignment Scheme for Entering Middle School Using GIS

Teachers have to measure the distance from their students' houses to neighboring schools manually by using ruler or driving cars every year. Not only it makes an significant overhead, but it also makes a problem of reliability of measured distance. The problem of fairness exists as well if measured distance is incorrect erroneously or deliberately. In this paper, we propose a scheme for constructing GIS and use its data for assigning students for entering middle schools without tests. We analyze the manually measured first and second nearest schools by using GIS data and confirm the measured distances have considerable errors. We also assign students based on the first and the second nearest school by using GIS. As a result, the distance to the assigned school reduced significantly and the fairness increases as well.
Implemental Model of Customer Relationship Management System for Oriental Hospital Using Customer Segmentation

This paper is proposed that implemental model of customer relationship management system for oriental hospital is designed by customer segmentation using personal information and medical record of outpatients in existing integrated medical information system database. Proposed model can be practical model at once, because it can construct by partial modification of existing medical information system without additional information technology and infrastructure. And, if we use the proper variable and method of customer segmentation according to marketing strategy, it can be flexible customer relationship management system not only improvement of customer satisfaction but also various marketing supports.
A Multi-functional Memorandum System for Managing Information Intelligently

Currently memorandum have been a method to manage information easily by short writing. In particular, a electronic memorandum system has been efficiently used for business purpose, which is available in a computer widely used in our daily life. Considering the smart business environment, we propose a multi-functional electronic memorandum system in this paper, which is helpful to manage information intelligently in the smart business environment. The proposed system maintains the contents of memorandum in a database structure, so it is available without any restrictions in time and place. In addition, it also has additional functions of music playing, capturing working screens, and scheduling. The functions help for the proposed system to be widely used in the smart business environment.
A Load Balancing Method Using Mesh Network Structure in the Grid Database

In this paper, mesh network structure is applied to solve the load balancing problems in the Grid database. Data of the Grid database is replicated to several node for enhanced performance. Therefore, load balancing for user's query is selected node that evaluated workload in it. Existing researches are using passive load balancing method that selected another node after then node overflowed workload. It is inefficient to be applied to Gird database that has a number of node and user's queries almost changes dynamically. The proposed method connected each node which includes the same data through mesh network structure. When user's query occurs, it select node that has the lowest workload. The performance evaluation shows that proposed method performs better than the existing methods.
A Study on analysis tools in the SWF file URL

SWF(Shock Wave Flash) file is a format file for vector graphics produced by Adobe. It is widely used for a variety of contents such as advertising at websites, widgets, games, education, and videos and it contains various types of data such as sound sources, script, API and images. Many SWF files contain URL information on action script for communication in the network and they can be used as important research data as well as PC users' Web Browser history in terms of forensic investigation. And a decompiler for analyzing SWF files exists by which SWF files can be analysed and URL information can be verified. However, it takes a long time to verify the URL information on action scripts of multiple SWF files by the decompiler. In this paper, analysis of URL information on action scripts and extraction of URL information from multiple SWF files by designing analysis tools for URL information in SWF files is studied.
Approaching Content Reuse for Efficient Technical Documentation

The single-sourcing of content is extremely beneficial because when we are managing several projects with hundreds or thousands of documentation, we don't want to be changing the same content, or substantially similar content in multiple locations. The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) is an XML-based architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering technical documents. It consists of a set of design principles for creating Information -typed topic modules and for using that content in various ways. In this paper, we examine the approach of using The Darwin Information Typing Architecture for technical documents development to enhance the reuse of existing content components for difference information products.
The Mobile Shopping System using MVLS

In this paper planed mobile shopping system using MVLS. MVLS is based on braille system, and list this to a square color box. This is can accomplish convenience of use and encipherment of fundamental personal information. Also, this system has advantage to fast communication speed because that has little size packets. Planed system does and fit this in shopping to graft together mobile-phone, smart-phone and tablet-pc that the such MVLS and most of internal adult are possessing. User can more fast finish shopping just photographing and press the button that show on TV or PC monitor and printed materials etc. by camera of mobile phone.
Mobile Office Construction on a Geotechnical Information System

Mobile office is becoming common as advances in mobile devices such as PDAs, Smart-phones, or wireless Internet. In this paper, we construct a mobile office environment on a geotechnical information system(GIS). Especially, web services and XML technology combined with SOA (service oriented services) are adopted for various types of mobile devices and services in a minimum cost. Web service and XML can provide an excellent SW reusability, extensibility, and interoperability even for heterogeneous distributed systems. Applications can exploit web services by just knowing server's address. Prototype system integrates a client in Visual Basic.Net and server in Java via the web services and XML data exchange. We verify effectiveness of the approach through the implementation of prototype system.
A Mobile Office Support System: Applying Remote Data Synchronization and Device Management Methods

In this paper, a mobile office support. system which consists of mobile devices and servers is proposed. An efficient mobile office support system is required to study since the existing mobile office support systems may face the serious problems such as an absence of interoperability, difficulties of data synchronization and device management in the near future, especially when a company has a large number of outdoor service employees. In this paper, a mobile office support system requirements for a company with a large number of outdoor service employees is proposed. And then, the methods to satisfy the requirements using a remote data synchronization and a remote device management technologies are proposed. The mobile office support system proposed in this paper synchronizes remotely a large number of various mobile devices of employees with centralized servers located in the company. In addition, it manages the mobile devices remotely for the employees. This paper proposes a mobile office support system based on OMA(Open Mobile Alliance) DS(Data Synchronization) and DM(Device Management) protocols. As OMA DS and DM protocols are de facto international standards, the interoperability between the mobile office support systems can be guaranteed.
Design and Implementation of a Messenger Program for PDA Using UML

A messenger program in this paper was designed and implemented using Use Case Diagram, Class Diagram, Activity Diagram, and Sequence Diagram. We selected total 7 major functionalities such as PC server, login, friends management, chatting, file transfer, account management, etc. The followings are various implementation results from this paper. First, developers could easily understand the desired product and programming flow from using UML Diagrams. Second, PDA users could communicate with developers for a long time without time constraints. Third, there was high usability of UML Diagram in the phase of objected-oriented analysis. Forth, it was easy to update and maintain a program.
Study on Technical trend of physical security and future service

From public insecurity, access of wealth, alteration of population structure, and changes of security recognition, physical security has been continuously developed and changed. In these days, typical systems for physical security are unmanned security system using telephone network and security equipment, image recognition system using DVR and camera, and access control system by finger print recognition and RFID cards. However, physical security system is broadening its domain towards ICT based convergence with networked camera, biometrics, individual authentication, and LBS services. This paper proposes main technical trends and various security convergences for future physical security services by classifying the security categories into 3 parts; Individual security for personal protection, IT Convergence for large buildings, and Homeland Security for omni-directional security.
The Effects of Infection Prevention Education Program on Infection Prevention Knowledge and Attitude to Nursing Caregiver Students

It is really important that trained professional care givers service pursuer for long tenn care insurance in Korea. This study was done to evaluate the infection prevention knowledge and attitude on nursing caregiver students with one group pre test-post test to compare on the education program. The data was collected by standardized self-administered questionnaire with a total of 128 nursing caregiver students in G city. The data was analyzed using the SPSS WIN 10.0 program such as t-test. The knowledge of infection prevention was significantly increased on pre-education and post-education of Infection Prevention Education Program. It is necessary for continuous education to maintain quality of nursing and improve the knowledge of infection prevention and program development on nursing caregiver.
Evaluation of Uncertainty Importance Measure for Monotonic Function

In a sensitivity analysis, an uncertainty importance measure is often used to assess how much uncertainty of an output is attributable to the uncertainty of an input, and thus, to identify those inputs whose uncertainties need to be reduced to effectively reduce the uncertainty of output. A function is called monotonic if the output is either increasing or decreasing with respect to any of the inputs. In this paper, for a monotonic function, we propose a method for evaluating the measure which assesses the expected percentage reduction in the variance of output due to ascertaining the value of input. The proposed method can be applied to the case that the output is expressed as linear and nonlinear monotonic functions of inputs, and that the input follows symmetric and asymmetric distributions. In addition, the proposed method provides a stable uncertainty importance of each input by discretizing the distribution of input to the discrete distribution. However, the proposed method is computationally demanding since it is based on Monte Carlo simulation.
A connection method of LPSolve and Excel for network optimization problem

We present a link that allows Excel to call the functions in the lp_solve system. lp_solve is free software licensed under the GPL that solves linear and mixed integer linear programs of moderate size. Our link manages the interface between Excel and lp_solve. Excel has a built-in add-in named Solver that is capable of solving mixed integer programs, but only with fewer than 200 variables. This link allows Excel users to handle substantially larger problems at no extra cost. Futhermore, we introduce that a network drawing method in Excel using arc adjacency lists of a network.
A Study on the Effecting Factors in IT Worker's Career Change Intentions: Based on the KSA and the Self-efficacy

The present state of the IT industry show workers with core capability KSA required by the IT industry having a high frequency of leaving for other industries or having the intention of doing so. This is not beneficial for the worker's career as well as the entire IT industry. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to support the development and management of IT human resources by selecting self-efficacy along with core capability KSA as the variables for researching career commitment and career change intentions. The results are as follows. It was found that the technical KSA and behavioral KSA of IT workforce influences self-efficacy. Self-efficacy has a significant effect on career commitment. It was found that managerial KSA has no effect on self-efficacy and career commitment.
The effect of types of test information on learning performance in the e-Learning contents

There are significant changes are in education field: the paradigm shift from teacher-centered and text-oriented learning to learner-centered and multimedia-oriented learning. Many researchers have proposed that the e-learning contents is one of the most important factors on e-learning performance. This study analyzes the effect of types of test information on learning performance in e-learning contents. The results show that the interaction effect between types and gender influences the comprehension of learning; the female prefers to the feedback and narrative type but the male prefer to the narrative type. The narrative type showed the highest score on the comprehension and satisfaction of learning among three different types. Also, the main effect of gender difference had no effect on e-learning performance.
A Study on the Educational Performance of Education Information System

For the education information system, evaluation of the performance have to incorporate the special characteristics od education. This paper is to develop some measures to assess the performance of Korean National Education Information System (NEIS). Performance measures are classified those into three detailed areas as the flow of value chain. which include end-users area, education process area and performance area. Research results show that the users's concern to the information system have an affirmative influence on the satisfaction of users, and attitude change of users have also a positive influence on the administration area of the information system such as task productivity, task innovation, satisfaction of the education users, activity of control process. Also, user's satisfaction for NEIS, that comes from the communication, have an affirmative influence on the better performance of education,
Educational contents and implementation procedures of the training system for research ethics

Even after Hwang Woo Suk's research ethics scandal in Korean research fields, there are still research ethic problems that are present in the Korean society. In order to spread research ethics education around Korea, there needs to be sufficient amount of research ethics contents prepared, which then can be used to educate and put into action. Through the usages of the scope of research ethics, comparing and contrasting several examples from domestic illegal research acts and American research ethics education, and the Learning Activity Management Systems (LAMS), we would be able to develop a way to manage the research ethics education. Also, in order to fully use and apply the necessary contents and material for the research ethics education program in several universities, we would not only need to use the LAMS system to establish the training system, but also to spread the awareness of research ethics.
An Empirical Study of the Effects of Corporate Social Responsibility Fitness of Small and Medium Enterprise on Corporate Reputation and Purchase Intention

Social responsibility of enterprises has recently been emphasized in practice. However, most of the previous studies on social responsibility has been mainly made on the large enterprises, not including small and medium enterprises. This study investigates the literature of previous studies and conducts the survey to find out how the fitness of small and medium enterprises' social responsibility affects corporate reputation and purchase intention. According to the analysis results of 101 valid responses, the study shows that fitness of small and medium enterprises' social responsibility affects corporate reputation and purchase intention, and corporate reputation has an effect on purchase intention. The results of this study may provide many small and medium enterprises with guidelines for their social responsibility activities.
Measuring Individuals' Privacy Concerns and Survey of Privacy Recognition

It is inevitable that personal privacy will be one of the most significant pressure points for most of the 2000s. Information privacy has been called one of the most important ethical issues in information age. It has become apparent that organizational practices, individuals' perceptions of these practices, and societal responses are very closely related in many ways. However, unfortunately, researches attempting to develop and validate an instrument that identifies and measures the primary dimensions of individuals' concerns about organizational information privacy practices were scarce. Based on a number of preliminary studies, this study tried to develop and validate an Korean organization oriented measurement instrument. This instrument is expected to be used as useful guide lines for the managers who are responsible for IT/IS ethical issues.
A Study on the Characteristics of the Small and Medium System Integration Companies in Performing IT Projects

The main purpose of this study was to demonstrate the most common characteristics of the small and medium system integration companies in performing IT projects. In this study, 388 auditing reports on the 194 IT projects which were carried out by the small and medium size manufacturers from 2006 to 2009 were employed and surveyed. This survey revealed that the schedule management was the most neglected item in the project management area, the test planning and action was the most neglected item in the development and coding area, and the manual preparation for users and operators was the most neglected item in the operation and maintenance area. Consequently these three most neglected items were considered as the most common characteristics of the small and medium system integration companies in performing IT projects.
Customized ERP System: An Alternative Solution for Small and Medium Business Firms

As business needs are accelerating exponentially due to globalization and other market forces, companies regardless of its size need data which can operate flexibly and rapidly across disappearing physical and organizational borders. To meet the growing Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] needs for small and medium sized firms, large ERP vendors have introduced new and inexpensive products to these markets. They can customize to businesses of all sizes as long as they have the need for the services and the budget to support the system. Based on the observations in this research, most ERP vendors, regardless of their size, are now focusing more on improving the implementation curve and reporting capabilities through compartmentalizing business applications along industry verticals. Also ERP systems are becoming more open thereby consultants and subject matter experts now have the opportunity to create modules based upon verticals to form a best-of-breed ERP implementation. of enterprises.
