Efficient multi-hop relay transmission on sensor network

In this paper, we consider an efficient protocol for the multi-hop relay transmission on a sensor network which can be utilized in a ubiquitous environment. More specifically, we propose an efficient relaying protocol for the distance and position recognition on the proposed sensor network which performs with the differentially bi-orthogonal chirp spread spectrum (DBO-CSS) in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) bands. For an efficient networking access, we design and implement four different packet structures, zone information packet, hop information packet, tag information packet, and application serial packet. Additionally, we also propose an efficient position recognition algorithm. Finally, for verification of our proposed protocol's efficiency, we build the testbed system which consists of
multi-cell and 10 hops in the network.
Single Carrier Frequency Domain Equalization in 3-slot Based Amplify-and-Forward Relaying Network for Shadow Area

In order to extend cell coverage and to cope with shadow areas, a relay-assisted wireless communications system has been widely studied. In this paper, we propose new equalization method for single carrier (SC) frequency domain equalizer (FDE) in amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying multi-path networks to improve the performance at shadow areas. The performance of SC-FDE system in 3-slot based multi-path networks can be improved considerably with the diversity gain which we obtain by equalizing the combined signal from relays by means of the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criteria. We find the weighting coefficients of maximum ratio combining (MRC) and the tap coefficients of MMSE equalizer for SC-FDE in AF relaying multi-path networks. Simulation results show that the proposed system considerably outperforms the conventional SC-FDE system.
A Design of the efficient data aggregation using Hotspot Zone on Ad-hoc Networks

As the resources and power on Ad-hoc networks are limited, new data aggregation techniques are required for energy efficiency. The current research on data aggregation techniques is actively in progress, but existing studies don't consider the density of nodes. If nodes are densely placed in a particular area, the information which the sensor nodes placed on those areas detect can be judged as very strong association. But, the energy spent transmitting this information is a waste of energy. In this paper the densely-concentrated node area is designated as Hotspot_Zone in the multi-hop clustering environment using the AMC and a key node is selected in the area. If the request message of data aggregation is transmitted, the key node among the neighboring nodes sends its environmental information to a manager to avoid duplicate sensing information. Therefore, the life of networks can be prolonged due to this.
A Study on Automatic Position Detection System for the Detachable Mobile Seat of a Vehicle for the Handicapped

This paper deals with the development of automatic docking system for the detachable mobile seat(DMS) of a vehicle for the handicapped people who are unable to ride in a car by oneself. Although such vehicles for the handicapped already exist, there is a need for a vehicle with improved docking method for convenience. This paper presents an automatic docking system using two ultrasonic sensors. In order to identify the precise location of the mobile seat in front of the vehicle door, the capability of ultrasonic sensor for detecting the part edge is analyzed and mathematical modeling is performed to measure the exact location of the side edge. And also, this paper presents an automatic docking method using this sensor system and the car lift which is provided in the inside of the car.
Development of Hi-efficiency Direct Drive PMAC Controller for Screen Door

To control screen door installed in the subway platform, geared BLDC motors have been being used. However, because of the geared mechanisms, the control profile of the screen door in slow speed is very poor. Moreover, geared mechanism tends to leads system malfunctions and low efficiency. To overcome those problems, in this paper, the techniques of developing hi-efficiency direct drive gearless PMAC motor controller and application example to control the screen door of subway platforms are proposed. The developed system has advantages that; the energy efficiency has been increased by adopting gearless PMAC motor; the system break-down factor has been decreased due to the actuator mechanism has been simplified. In this paper, the screen door control system structure, PMAC motor drive circuit design, implementations of vector control algorithm, and test results are shown.
Construction of information database with tool compensation histories for the tool design of a pillar part

Database for the information of the shape accuracy is constructed with the finite element stamping analysis of the center pillar member. Analyses are carried out in order to investigate the effect of tool compensation on the product quality previously performed by an expert in the press shop. The compensation procedure is provided with three sequences for improving shape accuracy of the member by reducing the amount of springback. The analysis result shows that shape inaccuracy in the product is caused by sagging and twisting phenomena from displacement of the section part due to excessive amount of springback. From the database with springback analyses, design modification guidelines are proposed for improving the shape accuracy. The guideline is directly applied to a member with the similar shape and the sound product is obtained successfully reducing the amount of springback.
A Design of Group Authentication by using ECDH based Group Key on VANET

This paper proposes a group key design based on ECDH(Elliptic Curve Diffie Hellman) which guarantees secure V2V and V2I communication. The group key based on ECDH generates the VGK(Vehicular Group key) which is a group key between vehicles, the GGK(Global Group Key) which is a group key between vehicle groups, and the VRGK(Vehicular and RSU Group key) which is a group key between vehicle and RSUs with ECDH algorithm without an AAA server being used. As the VRGK encrypted with RGK(RSU Group Key) is transferred from the current RSU to the next RSU through a secure channel, a perfect forward secret security is provided. In addition, a Sybil attack is detected by checking whether the vehicular that transferred a message is a member of the group with a group key. And the transmission time of messages and the overhead of a server can be reduced because an unnecessary network traffic doesn't happen by means of the secure communication between groups.
A study on Quality Evaluation of a of a systems based on SOA

This paper provides a model which is used for SOA based system's quality evaluation. This model make evaluation with "Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Usability and Maintainability", these five aspects which were reference from ISO/IEC 9126. A systems based on SOA was tested by this model in these five aspects. As the results of the evaluation this system satisfied 61.45% users including Service Requester and Service Registry.
A Fast stream cipher Canon

Propose stream cipher Canon that need in Wireless sensor network construction that can secure confidentiality and integrity. Create Canon 128 bits streams key by 128 bits secret key and 128 bits IV, and makes 128 bits cipher text through whitening processing with produced streams key and 128 bits plaintext together. Canon for easy hardware implementation and software running fast algorithm consists only of simple logic operations. In particular, because it does not use S-boxes for non-linear operations, hardware implementation is very easy. Proposed stream cipher Canon shows fast speed test results performed better than AES, Salsa20, and gate number is small than Trivium. Canon purpose of the physical environment is very limited applications, mobile phones, wireless Internet environment, DRM (Digital Right Management), wireless sensor networks, RFID, and use software and hardware implementation easy 128 bits stream ciphers.
Color Reproduction Modeling of OLED using Standard RBG Display

This paper proposed the color reproduction modeling of OLED using standard RGB display. The kinds of non-standard RGB displays are various. And color reproduction of non-standard RGB displays is different by chromaticities of primaries and reference white etc. In this paper, we proposed algorithm that made OLED display's color reproduction to standard CRT monitor using conversion matrix. If using the algorism that is proposed in this paper, we can confirm the reproduced color characteristics to simulation beforehand and improve the performance of existing display. when developing new display, we are expected to be used very usefully.
A Detection of Smoking in Elevator

In fact, smoking is prohibited in elevators. It is morally wrong to smoke in elevators. In addition, smoking can be very fatal for our children and for women. In this paper, forensic evidence is submitted to court by people who smoke in elevators. Shots around the face of the person in the elevator extracted partially by scene change detection. Smokers is extracted that the white bar is at the mouth biter. People spouting smoke extraction will proceed in the future. It is extracted by using technology of color histogram, one of the scene change detection method. The extract is a much more accurate extraction ratio than the methods that do not use scene change detection.
A Study on Classification of Pickpocket in Video

Currently, crimes are becoming increasingly dense, the technique is also very tricky. Pickpocket, the theft of crime, is occurred at the most crowded or congested places. However, nowadays occurs more commonly at the rare and secluded place in the human. In this paper, we investigate the techniques and types of pickpockets. And realistically to submit classified video, to standing, sitting, and lying to the classification. Target for pickpockets, we classify it to submit a video forensic evidence. This paper will be needed in order to prevent and cope with pickpockets crimes.
The Trends of IT Convergence in Korea

These days, the environment of IT development goes through converging with various industries and technologies. Also, it accelerates to pioneer new markets and develop new technologies. This trend becomes one of the most important factors to explore new national growth engines in Korea. Thus, this research examines current trends of IT convergence in Korea. The strategic characteristics of IT convergence in overseas are briefly explained for comparing purpose. The governmental strategies or efforts regarding the IT convergence have been surveyed. Some example convergences of LG, Samsung, and POSCO as major IT industries in Korea have been introduced. It also identifies several buzz concepts in this field. The study aims to provide an insight about the activities that are happening in the field of IT convergence in Korea. Finally, the findings through the research have been summarized.
AHP와 하이브리드 필터링을 이용한 개인화된 추천 시스템 설계 및 구현

Recently, most of firms have continuously released new products satisfying various needs of customers in order to increase market share. As a lot of products with various functionalities, prices and designs are released in the market, users have difficulties in choosing an appropriate product, especially for information technology driven devices. In case of digital cameras, inexperienced users spend a lot of time and efforts to find proper model for them. In this study, therefore, we design and implement a personalized recommendation system using analytic hierarchy process, one of the multi-criteria decision making techniques, and hybrid filtering combining content-based filtering and collaborative filtering to recommend a suitable product for inexperienced users of information technology devices.
On-line coordination control of OLTC and Switched Shunt for enhancement of stability using local data in substation

This paper suggest the on-line coordination control between on-load tap changers and Switched Shunts for ensuring the voltage stability using local data obtained from one substation. Inappropriate control of on-load tap changers that are able to maintain voltage profile might cause unintended result that is harmful to system stability, especially voltage stability. This paper utilizes Z-index that could inform the whole system condition from only one substation data. Simulation is performed using the HYPERSIM that is a digital simulator and matlab simulink to confirm the proposed algorithm.
Culture and Content Industry: An Analysis on New Korean Wave based on Social Capital Perspective

Unlike the first generation of Korean Wave (Hallyu 1.0), which mainly refers to the exports of Korean TV dramas via broadcasting systems, the New Korean Wave (Hallyu 2.0) era has been brought by K-pop (Korean popular music) via the rapid growth of social media. The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of this significant shift in media on global fans and their way of adopting Korean cultural goods from a social capital perspective, in order to draw some implications for the current Korean content industries. Most global fans of K-pop are young and use social media to access digital content and share their opinions spontaneously. SNS providers such as YouTube and Facebook not only act as information providers to usher the fans to online music retailers; but also function as links between these fans and cultural producers by turning bonding social capital into bridging social capital. Telecommunication and advertising companies participate in this market as a third party by providing funds for supporting digital circulation and distribution. In this multi-sided market with the interdependent agents, it is extremely important to secure a platform that leads the evolution of its business ecology. Without owning the platform, there is also a very little chance to produce linking social capital as a means to maximize the impact of New Korean Wave.
Developing an Ensemble Classifier for Bankruptcy Prediction

An ensemble of classifiers is to employ a set of individually trained classifiers and combine their predictions. It has been found that in most cases the ensembles produce more accurate predictions than the base classifiers. Combining outputs from multiple classifiers, known as ensemble learning, is one of the standard and most important techniques for improving classification accuracy in machine learning. An ensemble of classifiers is efficient only if the individual classifiers make decisions as diverse as possible. Bagging is the most popular method of ensemble learning to generate a diverse set of classifiers. Diversity in bagging is obtained by using different training sets. The different training data subsets are randomly drawn with replacement from the entire training dataset. The random subspace method is an ensemble construction technique using different attribute subsets. In the random subspace, the training dataset is also modified as in bagging. However, this modification is performed in the feature space. Bagging and random subspace are quite well known and popular ensemble algorithms. However, few studies have dealt with the integration of bagging and random subspace using SVM Classifiers, though there is a great potential for useful applications in this area. The focus of this paper is to propose methods for improving SVM performance using hybrid ensemble strategy for bankruptcy prediction. This paper applies the proposed ensemble model to the bankruptcy prediction problem using a real data set from Korean companies.
An Exploratory Study on the Management Framework of Social Media as Knowledge Creation Platform

Much attention is being paid to social media because of their potentials to draw collective intelligence. In this context does this study attempt to draw some implications of social media as knowledge creation platform and suggest a conceptual framework of social media management. Information sharing among the public through social media literally produces profound influence throughout the society and thus not only business firms but all levels of public institutions, including government are seeking to take its advantage for various purposes such as public relations, crowd sourcing, etc. Especially considering that social media open the possibility of social knowledge creation platform in the Big Data era, this study is perhaps able to contribute to further development of social media management model together with a series of measuring indexes.
Korean Organization ERP System Implementation CSFs: A Delphi Study

This study focused on the factors that are critical to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation success. This study employed a Delphi panel to explore the characteristics of ERP project success. The expert panel was comprised of executives from Korean organizations who had participated in and were experienced with ERP implementation projects. The two round Delphi study found the importance of senior management involvement/top management support in project. Additionally, the study found that the same Critical Success Factors(CSFs) existing in large-sized Korean organizations are also applicable to small or mid-sized Korean organizations.
A Study on the Health Information Standards for Health Information System Implementation

Ubiquitous health care system, which is one of the developing solution technologies of IT, BT and NT, could give us new medical environments in future. Implementing health information systems can be complex, expensive and frustrating. Healthcare professionals seeking to acquire or upgrade systems do not have convenient, reliable way of specifying a level of adherence to communication standards sufficient to achieve truly efficient interoperability. Great progress has been made in establishing such standards-DICOM, IHE and HL7, notably, are now highly advanced. In this paper, there are suggestions that provide a test bed, demonstration and specification of how standards such a IHE, HL7, ASTM can be used to provide an integrated environment.
Influence of the Innovativeness on the Use Intention in SNS: Focused on UTAUT

Social Network Service is a web-based service that allows the people to construct relationship among users with same interest and supports various activities such as managing personal relations and sharing information or contents. The objective of this study is analysing the influence of the innovativeness on the use intention in SNS based on the UTAUT model. This study establishes a theoretical model that includes four independent variables(performance expectancy, effort expendancy, social influence, innovativeness) and two moderating variables(gender and innovativeness). The empirical results obtained in a sample of 403 university students are followings; 1) The use intention is positively influenced by the performance expectancy, effort expendancy, social influence and innovativeness. The effort expectancy is the strongest predictor of the use intention 2) The gender has a moderating effect whileas the innovativeness has no moderating effect. For men, the stronger the effect of performance expectancy on the use intention and for women, the stronger the effect of social influence on the use intention.
The Empirical Study of the Influence of Consumer Innovativeness, Product Involvement and Product Expertise on Vicarious and Adoptive Innovativeness

Consumer innovativeness is a force that leads to innovative behavior of consumer and it is crucial for companies to understand the innovativeness in association with the new innovative product adoption. The purpose of this paper is to examines the influence of Consumer's inherent innovativeness, product involvement, and product expertise on consumers's vicarious and adoptive innovativeness. For this purpose, the model has been set and examined the influence of consumer innovativeness, product involvement and product expertise on vicarious and adoptive innovativeness. The results revealed that 1) consumer innovativeness would not influence vicarious and adoptive innovativeness, 2) vicarious innovativeness had affect on adoptive innovativeness 3) product involvement had a affect on both vicarious and adoptive innovativeness 4) product expertise had a affect on vicarious innovativeness and yet had no affect on adoptive innovativeness.

Due to increase of interest in web accessibility and recognition of its necessity, a variety of accessibility indicators and automatic assessment tools have been developed, but previous literature indicated various problems about these indicators and tools. Thus, this research proposes and verifies the assessment model for accessibility of a frame content by considering web standards which develop the same web page for every client environment.
A Study on RFID Tag Recognition for Metal Pipe in Fish Cultivating Industry

RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is an emerging technology which brings enormous productivity benefits in applications where objects have to be identified automatically. But despite of RFID's advantage, it is not easy to realize the RFID technology in business world. The failure to read RFID tags is the most urgent problem that should be solved for RFID application. Specially, in metal and liquid material, recognition rate of RFID tag is lower than others. Though some special tags for metal and liquid have been invented, it has not prevalent in business world on account of high price. In this paper, styrofoam pad is suggested to improve recognition rate of RFID tag for metal pipe which is used in fish cultivating industry. We makes experiment using Taguchi method and analyze the effects on styrofoam thickness, attachment location of tag, and angle of antenna.
