Secure Attribute-Based Access Control with a Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption Scheme

An access control system is needed to ensure only authorized users can access a sensitive resource. We propose a secure access control based on a fully secure and fine grained ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption scheme. The access control for a sensitive resource is ensured by encrypting it with encryption algorithm from the CP-ABE scheme parameterized by an access control policy. Furthermore, the proposed access control supports non-monotone type access control policy. The ciphertext only can be recovered by users whose attributes satisfy the access control policy. We also implement and measure the performance of our proposed access control. The results of experiments show that our proposed secure access control is feasible.
Implementation of a Sensor Node with Convolutional Channel Coding Capability

Sensor nodes are used for monitoring and collecting the environmental data via wireless sensor network. The wireless sensor network with various sensor nodes draws attention as a key technology in ubiquitous computing. Sensor nodes has very small memory capacity and limited power resource. Thus, it is essential to have energy efficient strategy for the sensor nodes. Since the sensor nodes are operating on the same frequency bands with ISM frequency bands, the interference by the devices operating on the ISM band degrades the quality of communication integrity. In this paper, the convolutional code is proposed instead of ARQ for the error control for the sensor network. The proposed convolutional code was implemented and the BER performance is measured. For the fixed transmitting powers of -19.2 dBm and -25dBm, the BER with various communication distances are measured. The packet loss rate and the retransmission rate are calculated from the measured BER. It is shown that the porposed method obtained about 9~12% and 12-19% reduction in retransmission rate for -19.2 dBm and -25 dBm respectively.
Compact LTCC Patch Antenna Integrating a Wideband Vertical Transition for millimeter-wave SoP Applications

In this work, a compact patch antenna based on a low temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) has been presented for V-band system-on-package (SoP) applications. In order to integrate it with transceiver block, a waveguide (W/G) to embedded microstrip line (eMSL) vertical transition was designed using slot-fed double stacked patch antennas for easy assembly and wide bandwidth. . The fabricated antenna has achieved a 10 dB impedance bandwidth of 2.45 GHz from 61 to 63.45 GHz.
Development of a FMCW Radar Using a Compensation Algorithm for VCO Nonlinearity

In this paper, we have implemented an FMCW radar for a near distance measurement. In the structure of the FMCW radar, it is a key problem to solve the VCO nonlinearity. In this work, we have adopted a VCO nonlinearity compensation algorithm using the spectrum correlation of beat signals. The radar experimented in this work uses an X-band(9.55~10.25GHz) microwave signal, and realizes precision of 3% in the range of 30m. The prototype can be applied to the front surveillance radar such as in vehicle anti-collision and probing robot mission.
Electrical Power Subsystem Performance Evaluation of the GEO Satellite

The satellite on geostationary orbit accommodates multiple payloads into a single spacecraft platform and launched in June 26, 2010. The Electrical Power Subsystem provides a fully regulated power bus at
in sunlight and eclipse conditions. The electrical power required to the satellite is generated by a solar array wing and the energy is stored by a Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 192.5Ah. This paper selects the main design parameters, compares and analyzes with the results at ground test and in orbit operation to apply this performance evaluation of the Electrical Power Subsystem to next satellite design on geostationary orbit. The Electrical Power Subsystem is demonstrated nominal behavior without significant degradation through the performance evaluation from design to in orbit operation.
Comparison of Characteristics of P-Wave Detection in ECG with Wireless Patch Electrodes

P-wave characteristic in the human electrocardiogram (ECG) is important in the diagnosis of atrial conduction pathology. In this paper, we measured an ECG signal from patient with cardiovascular disease using one lead ECG electrode system which is based on the wireless cardiac monitoring system. And we detected a P-wave in ECG signal using the complex-valued continuous wavelet transforms (CWT) according to two kinds of patch type electrodes such as an existing narrow patch type electrode and the improved wide patch type electrode presented in this paper. Also, we compared the characteristics in detecting the P-wave in terms of the magnitude and the width of P-waves. From the results of comparison we found that the width and the magnitude of P-wave detected using the wide patch type electrode is improved to be interpreted easier compared to those using the narrow patch type electrode. Furthermore, we have also proven that the complex-valued CWT can be used as a robust detector for P-wave in ECG signal analysis.
Implementation and Analysis of IEEE 802.15.4 Compliant Software based on a Vertically Decomposed Task Model

IEEE 802.15.4 is one of the most widely adopted physical layer standards in the area of LR-WPAN(Low-Rate Wireless Personal Area Network). Numerous previous researches have contributed to deep insights on energy efficiency, transmission throughput, and reliability that IEEE 802.15.4 delivers to the LR-WPAN. As a research that is orthogonal and complementary to previous researches, we explore the implementation and practical performance evaluation of IEEE 802.15.4 MAC software. We implement the MAC software from the perspective of the networking stack, exploring the issues raised when the MAC software serves as a functional component in a complete networking stack consisting of MAC, network as well as well as application support layers. The performance is evaluated on a realistic experimental software environment integrated with operating system, networking stack, and applications.
A new interfacing circuit for low power asynchronous design in sensor systems

Conventional synchronous circuits in low power required systems such as sensor systems cannot only satisfy the timing requirement of the low voltage digital systems, but also they may generate wrong outputs under the influence of PVT variations and aging effects. Therefore, in the reliable ultra-low power design, asynchronous circuits have recently been reconsidered as a solution for scaling issues. However, it is not easy to totally replace synchronous circuits with asynchronous circuits in the digital systems, so the interfacing between the synchronous and asynchronous circuits is indispensable for the digital systems. This paper presents a new design for interfacing between asynchronous circuits and synchronous circuits, and the interface circuits are applied to a
multiplier logic designed using 0.11um technology.
Advanced LSB Technique for Hiding Messages in Audio Steganography

Audio seganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages that evolves as a new secret communication method. And audio steganography is similar to the process of modifying the Least Significant Bit of image files 8th LSB layer embedding has been done for desired binary messages. The effective of steganographic tools is to obtain imperceptible and robust way to conceal high rate of secret data. The objective of this paper is to propose a method for hiding the secret messages in safer manner from external attacks by modified LSB technique and encryption rearrangement key.
Medicine-Bottle Classification Algorithm Based on SIFT

Medicine-bottle classification algorithm to avoid medicine accidents must be robust to a geometric change such as rotation, size variation, location movement of the medicine bottles. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to classify the medicine bottles exactly in real-time by using SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) which is robust to the geometric change. In first, we classify medicine bottles by size using minimum boundary rectangle(MBR) of medicine bottles as a striking feature in order to classify the medicine bottles. We extract label region in the MBR and the region of interest(ROI) considering rotation. Then, we classify medicine bottles using SIFT for the extracted ROI. We also simplify the number of octave of SIFT in order to improve a process speed of SIFT. We confirm to classify all the medicine bottles exactly as a result of performance evaluation of the proposed algorithm about images of 250 medicine bottles. We also confirm to improve the process time more than twice the processing time by simplifying the number of octave of SIFT.
Korean Public Organization ERP Education Training Strategies Using Success Factor Analysis

This study presents another effective way of ERP training and education for the successful deployment of ERP in public and private sectors. In general, there have been many researches on ERP implementation success factors. However, training methods and research related to effective ERP education/training are difficult to find. Several studies on the ERP implementation success factors state that the Chief Executive Office Interest in the project, education and training are one of the most important factors. In order to successfully implement an ERP, ERP education and training must preferentially be continuous and done by long-term plan. In Chapter 2, we examined the previous researches to determine the status of effective education and training in private and public sectors. Feedbacks from public enterprises, private enterprises, ERP consultants and production professionals from the survey are analysed using the Delphi method. Using the SPSS statistical analysis, survey results derived another effective private and public enterprise ERP education/training strategies and management guidelines.
Operational Strategy of Co-creation Platform: Comparative Analysis of Samsung Apps and Apple Appstore

This study illustrates and compares the platform strategy of Apple and Samsung, which have been operating their own App stores, by using the
model. Apple, the first mover of the platform, has employed closed strategy for quality control of the platform and customer loyalty. On the other hand, Samsung has employed open strategy for increasing the platform network effects. The result of this study showed that the platform strategy "Openness", which is a free entry of participants, and "Sharing" of created value, are important along with the excellent platform environment. As a pioneering study of the platform strategy for the co-creation, this research contributes to both theory and practice.
