Implementation of a High Speed Comparator for High Speed Automatic Test Equipment

This paper describes the implementation of high speed comparator for the ATE (automatic test equipment) system. The comparator block is composed of continuous comparator, differential difference amplifier(DDA) and output stage. For the wide input dynamic range of 0V to 5V, and for the high speed operation (1~800MHz), high speed rail-to-rail amplifier is used in the first stage. And hysteresis circuits, pre-amp and latch are followed for high speed operation. To measure the difference of output signals between the two devices under test (DUTs), a DDA is applied because it can detect the differences of both common signals and differential signals. Design and Evaluation of Telematics User Interface for Ubiquitous Vehicle

In the ubiquitous computing environment, a ubiquitous vehicle will be a communication node in the vehicular network as well as the means of ground transportation. It will make humans and vehicles seamlessly and remotely connected. Especially, one of the prominent services in the ubiquitous vehicle is the vehicle remote operation. However, mutual-collaboration with the in-vehicle communication network, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication network and the vehicle-to-roadside communication network is required to provide vehicle remote operation services. In this paper, an Internet-based human-vehicle interfaces and a network architecture is presented to provide remote vehicle control and diagnosis services. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated through a design and implementation in terms of the round trip time taken to get a vehicle remote operation service.
Development of The Open Mobile E-commerce Platform Using 3D GIS and E-catalog

Recently, E-Commerce demands an integrated solution for online and off-line provided to customers on wired / wireless network and various mobile devices. Our E-commerce platform can use anytime, anywhere, for all consumers. And, it can take convenient and secure E-commerce service in mobile environment. So, we will implement a software platform base on the mobile environment that independent of the mobile OS. Particularly, our E-commerce platform is based on 3D GIS information for 3D electronic map. So, all users (customers) have got the more visible convenience. And, by using the e-catalog DB cloud server, off-line store operators can be built the online home-page easily. From now on our E-commerce platform based on 3D GIS can be usable at various E-commerce areas in the ubiquitous environment.
A Design of Gate Driver Circuits in DMPPT Control for Photovoltaic System

This paper describes the design of gate driver circuits in distributed maximum power point tracking(DMPPT) controller for photovoltaic system. For the effective DMPPT control in the existence of shadowed modules, high voltage gate driver is applied to drive the DC-DC converter in each module. Some analog blocks such as 12-b ADC, PLL, and gate driver are integrated in the SoC for DMPPT. To reduce the power consumption and to avoid the high voltage damage, a short pulse generator is added in the high side level shifter. The circuit was implemented with BCDMOS 0.35um technology and can support the maximum current of 2A and the maximum voltage of 50V.
Implementation of Slaving Data Processing Function for Mission Control System in Space Center

In KSLV-I launch mission, real-time data from the tracking stations are acquired, processed and distributed by the Mission Control System to the user group who needed to monitor processed data for safety and flight monitoring purposes. The processed trajectory data by the mission control system is sent to each tracking system for target designation in case of tracking failure. Also, the processed data are used for decision making for flight termination when anomalies occur during flight of the launch vehicle. In this paper, we propose the processing mechanism of slaving data which plays a key role of launch vehicle tracking mission. The best position data is selected by predefined logic and current status after every available position data are acquired and pre-processed. And, the slaving data is distributed to each tracking stations through time delay is compensated by extrapolation. For the accurate processing, operation timing of every procesing modules are triggered by time-tick signal(25ms period) which is driven from UTC(Universial Time Coordinates) time. To evaluate the proposed method, we compared slaving data to the position data which received by tracking radar. The experiments show the average difference value is below 0.01 degree.
Sensor Circuit Design using Carbon Nanotube FET for Artificial Skin

This paper proposes a new sensor circuit using a 32 nm carbon nanotube FET (CNFET) technology for artificial skin. For future robotic and prosthetic applications, it is essential to develop a robust and low power artificial skin for detecting the environment through touch. Therefore, a sensor circuit for the artificial skin also has to be developed to detect the sensor signals and convert them into digital bits. The artificial skin sensor is based on a mesh of sensors consisting of a nxn matrix using CNFET, and the sensor outputs are connected to a current monitoring circuit proposed as the sensor circuit. The proposed sensor provides pressure measurements and shape information about pressure distribution.
Development of a Vision Based Machine Tool Presetter

Generally, the tool presetter is utilized to align and measure some specific dimensions of a machine tool. It is classified into two types(contact and contactless) according to the measurement method, and the optical sensor based contactless scheme has the advantages of measurement flexibility and convenience. This paper describes the design and realization of an industrial tool presetter using machine vision and linear scaler. Before measurement, the objective tool is attached to the mechanical mount and is aligned with the optical apparatus. After capturing tool images, the suggested image processing algorithm calculates its dimesions accurately, combining the traversing distance from the linear scaler. An UHISRL design to protect patient`s privacy and to block its illegal access based on RFID

This paper proposes the UHISRL(Ubiquitous Healthcare Information System based on Real Time Location) which manages patient, doctor, medicine by using RFID. The proposed UHISRL monitors the patient`s health state, and enables us to confirm the result with Smart Phone and Tablet PC. Also, it can block Replay and Spoofing attack by using the ERHL(Extended Randomized Hash Lock) authentication scheme designed in this paper. A patient privacy is enhanced by limiting UHISRL DB access according to attributes with CP-ABE (Cipher Text - Attributed based Encryption) technique. Specially, UHISRL can prevent an unexpected accident by monitoring a chronic patient`s emergency situation in real time.
Ensuring Economic Benefits of Mitigation Projects for Improving the Image of Construction Industry

Over the last several decades, the United States has experienced a great number of natural disasters. To minimize the impact of the natural hazard events, the U.S. government spent a tremendous amount of money through federal assistant programs. To be eligible for the programs, a mitigation project must be cost effective (more benefits compared to project costs). However, the state and local communities suffering from the natural disasters generally have difficulty in collecting reliable evidence for their damages which can be converted later into benefits when a mitigation project is implemented. Therefore, this paper shows the process of conducting a benefit cost analysis with limited data. Besides, it also provides how to apply the limited data to the analysis through a case study. Consequently, this paper help state and local communities get funding from the federal government, which in turns will improve the image of construction industry by preventing people from natural disasters.
The Estimation of the Closed Form in NKPC Inflation Model: Focusing on the Korean Manufacturing Industries (1975-2010)

This paper is to develop and estimate a closed form inflation model using the estimates for real marginal costs in manufacturing industries during the sample period 1975-2010. The production function in manufacturing industry incorporates labor, capital, domestic material, and foreign material, assuming constant returns to scale technology and AR(1) process of technological coefficient. We derive real marginal costs from firm`s cost minimization with quarterly data and provide new evidences on the new Keynesian Phillips curve for Korea. The main empirical result is that the closed form coefficients
in manufacturing for PPI inflation proved to be 0.5086 and 0.8779 respectively, similar to the estimates in the U.S. case. These results also are consistent with the functional relationship between the coefficients in hybrid model and its closed form. Thus the paper suggests that the empirical studies on inflation dynamics need to focus on the manufacturing industry with market power, treating PPI inflation as the dependent variable.
The Effects of the Corporate Association on Corporate Trust and Attitude: Focusing on Comparison of Corporate Type

The theory of customer-based brand equity emphasizes the importance of brand awareness and brand image or associations in building a strong brand. Marketing scholars have recently begun to identify the two types of corporate associations, that is, corporate ability(CA) and corporate social responsibility(CSR) associations, which had long been conceptualized as a unidimensional construct of corporate image in the literature. In line with the new research stream, I`m developed a research model concerning how CA and CSR associations are related to credibility-based and benevolence-based trust, which in turn will affect emotional trust and consumer attitudes toward company. As for the hypothesized paths, the results confirm that all of the them are supported(H1-H6). First, CA associations have a significant positive relationship with credibility-based trust, and CSR associations are positively related to benevolence-based trust. Second, both dimensions of trust show strong and positive influences on emotional trust. In addition, credibility-based trust directly affect attitude toward firm in the foreign company. But credibility-based trust not affect attitude toward firm in the domestic company.
The Effects of Human Resource Management on Organizational Effectiveness

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between high involvement Human Resource Management and organizational effectiveness in small company. High involvement Human Resource Management practices include training, incentive, performance appraisal, participation, proposal, communication, job description. This research approached organizational effectiveness using internal process and goal. Internal process approach measured internal organizational health using aggregate organizational commitment, turnover intention, job search. Goal approach measured organizational growth using sales growth rate per employee and net income growth rate per employee. Using the collected data from 267 employees at 27 small-sized firms located in South region in Korea, this research tested and confirmed the construct validity regression analysis at the organizational level. This research came to the conclusions to as follows: First, high-involvement HRM had the positive effect on the organizational commitment. Second, high-involvement HRM had the negative effect on the turnover intention. The findings suggest that high-involvement HRM is a valuable construct to understand internal process approach of organizational effectiveness in small firms.
Medical Tourism Industry in Kangwon Province and Its Economic Impacts on the Region

This paper has two purposes. The first is to suggest the new and simple method to derive a regional input-output model from the national input-output table published by the Bank of Korea. The interregional input-output table has not been devised in spite of its potential use while the national table has been made every five years with the revised version during each five years. Second, this paper aims to derive Kangwon interregional input-output model from the national model using the regional supply proportion of industry and to analyze the effect of medical tourism industry on the regional economy of Kangwon Province. The paper measures, in particular, the effect of medical tourism industry on the financial self-sufficiency of Kangwon Province using the estimated output elasticity of tax revenue with the autoregressive distributed lag scheme ADL(1,1) in which the dependent variable and the single explanatory variable are each lagged once.
The Conceptual Model for a Co-creation Platform

As a new management paradigm, co-creation for creating new value through collaboration with stakeholders, including customers, distributers, suppliers, and partner organizations has been issued in the private and public organizations. To collectively create new value, effective communication tools among the interest groups should be provided. In fact, most of organizations have utilized information technology such as home pages and SNS for distributing information and respecting customer opinions. However, they are seriously experiencing in difficulty of systematic management and overlapped investment on information technology for co-creation. Thus, this study proposes the conceptual model for co-creation platform through case studies and it is verified by scenario analysis and experts. The study contributes to accumulate knowledge in the area of co-creation platform. It also defines the requirements and the functions for the design of co-creation platform for practitioners.
