Delay Insensitive Asynchronous Circuit Design Based on New High-Speed NCL Cells

The delay-insensitive Null Convention Logic (NCL) asynchronous design as one of innovative asynchronous logic design methodologies has many advantages of inherent robustness, power consumption, and easy design reuses. However, transistor-level structures of conventional NCL gate cells have weakness of low speed, high area overhead or high wire complexity. Therefore, this paper proposes a new high-speed NCL gate cells designed at transistor level for high-speed, low area overhead, and low wire complexity. The proposed NCL gate cells have been compared to the conventional NCL gates in terms of circuit delay, area and power consumption.
Analysis and Implications of Twitter Data during the 2012 Election

Twitter is a microblogging service that allows users to post short messages on a variety of topics in real-time. In this work, we analyze Twitter messages posted during the 2012 elections and find those implications. This study uses Twitter messages related to the 2012 South Korean presidential campaign. The three main candidates are represented by the abbreviations A, M, and P. According to the statistical analysis, the number of tweets and re-tweets for candidate P was relatively stable over the entire campaign period. Candidate P had the highest percentage of terms related to elections pledges, and candidates A and M were judged to be a little bit poorer with respect to campaign promises. The positive terms ratio for candidate P was higher than those for the other two candidates. The negative terms ratio in the Twitter messages of P was considerably smaller than those of candidates A and M. After considering all these results, it is suggested cautiously that Twitter messages posted during an election campaign could be correlated with the outcome of the election.
Development of Web based Automation System for Efficient Implementation of HACCP

The implementation of HACCP(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) which is a systematic preventive approach to food safety is increasing in school feed or food manufacture. Thus, there are several automatic systems to assist HACCP management, however the most of existing systems are one of computer programs or correcting sensor data programs as ancillary means. Therefore, to be applied to efficiently automate HACCP system, the HACCP supporting computer system should be easy usability of the personnel involved in the HACCP operations and must be able to manage in real time the various HACCP data. In this paper, we develop a web-based HACCP automatic system operating freely available from any Internet computing environments. This system can be used as the management system of all the processes of HACCP and make possible to manage a broad range of operating information through the web server. So, the results from operation of the proposed automatic HACCP system can be consistently systematic.
A study on the welding current and voltage signal processing method for the quality evaluation of robotic GMAW

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is currently the most widely used arc welding processes in the industry because of its high metal deposition rate, flexibility and low cost. It is attractive for high-productivity manufacturing applications and is well suited to automatic or robotic welding. Welding voltage and current have a significant impact on the weld bead. However, welding voltage and current are changed variously according to welding condition and user environment, and prediction is impossible. To determine the welding conditions, the welding current and voltage are applied to the appropriate data analysis techniques. In this paper, we used the moving average filter to the welding voltage and current data, and normal and abnormal welding waves were distinguished.
Design of Programmable Quantum-Dot Cell Structure Using QCA Clocking Based D Flip-Flop

In this paper, we propose a D flip-flop based on quantum-dot cellular automata(QCA) clocking and design a programmable quantum-dot cell(QPCA) structure using the proposed D flip-flop. Previous D flip-flops on QCA are that input should be set to an arbitrary value, and wasted output values exist because it was utilized to duplicate by clock pulse and QCA clocking. In order to eliminate these defects, we propose a D flip-flop structure using binary wire and clocking technique on QCA. QPCA structure consists of wire control logic, rule control logic, D flip-flop and XOR logic gate. In experiment, we perform the simulation of QPCA structure using QCADesigner. As the result, we confirm the efficiency of the proposed structure.
A TFT-LCD Defect Detection Method based on Defect Possibility using the Size of Blob and Gray Difference

TFT-LCD image includes a defect of various properties. TFT-LCD image have a recognizable defects in the human inspector. On the other hand, it is difficult to detect defects that difference between the background and defect is very low. In this paper, we proposed sequentially detect algorithm from pixels included in the defect region to limited defects. And blob analysis methods using the blob size and gray difference are applied to the defect candidate image. Finally, we detect an accurate defect blob to distinguish the noise. The experimental results show that the proposed method finds the various defects reliably.
Flight trajectory generation through post-processing of launch vehicle tracking data

For monitoring the flight trajectory and the status of a launch vehicle, the mission control system in NARO space center process data acquired from the ground tracking system, which consists of two tracking radars, four telemetry stations, and one electro-optical tracking system. Each tracking unit exhibits its own tracking error mainly due to multi-path, clutter and radio refraction, and by utilizing only one among transmitted informations, it is not possible to determine the actual vehicle trajectory. This paper presents a way of generating flight trajectory via post-processing the data received from the ground tracking system. The post-processing algorithm is divided into two parts: compensation for atmosphere radio refraction and multi-sensor fusion, for which a decentralized Kalman filter was adopted and implemented based on constant acceleration model. Applications of the present scheme to real data resulted in the flight trajectory where the tracking errors were minimized than done by any one sensor.
A user behavior prediction technique using mobile-based Lifelog

Recently the desired information has been recommended to many people in a number of ways using the smartphone. Though there are many applications for that purpose, but most applications does not consider the user's current situation. In order to automatically recommend the information considering the user's situation, it is necessary to predict the future behavior of the user from the records of the past behavior of the user. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method that predicts the user's future behavior through association analysis based on the user's current behavior which is identified by applying the user's current situation data collected via a smartphone to the Bayesian network built from the user's life log. From the experiments and analysis for five students and five virtual workers, the usefulness of the proposed method is confirmed.
Value-Based Enterprise Architecture Framework: VBEAF

Until now there have been many kinds of enterprise architecture frameworks including the DoDAF in defense domain, the FEAF in administration domain, and the TEAF in finance domain. These EAFs define EA viewpoints for supporting each domain and propose perspectives and models for each viewpoint. These EAFs provide consistent models from different perspectives that interact with each other. However, they have too many perspectives so that their complexities are too high, or they do not define enough models for concrete architecture description. Especially, they neither consider business values, that mean the ultimate purpose of an organization nor execute processes for achieving the business values. This paper thus proposes the VBEAF, business value based enterprise architecture framework that considers and executes business values in organizational business processes.
An Empirical Analysis on the Determinants for Industrial Markup in the Korean Service Industries Using the ADL Scheme

Since markup is defined as price over marginal cost by Hall(1988), the New Keynesians have intensively applied its definition in elucidating the relationship between market structure and business cycle. In lots of literatures markups proved to be counter cyclical empirically and theoretically. At the same time many studies analysed the determinants for markup in relation with business cycles. This paper establishes the markup equation based on the constant returns to scale production function including intermediate goods with technology being assumed to be AR(1) process and estimates the industrial markups in the Korean 5 service industries over the period 1975:1-2010:4. The paper also analyzed the markup determinants using the autoregressive distributed lag scheme ADL(1,1) in which the dependent variable and the single explanatory variable are each lagged once.
A Framework for Knowledge Propagation Analysis using Social Network

A company regards knowledge shared and used within a corporate organization as intellectual capital linked to corporate competences. A great deal of research has been conducted in the past to identify knowledge sharing among knowledge workers. Some papers focus on information technology for automated, efficient, and explicit knowledge sharing. Other papers emphasize the role of social networks to identify the flow of tacit knowledge. Though the role of CoP(Community of Practice) is emphasized to facilitate knowledge management among workers, it is not an easy task to identify the potential members of CoP without voluntary participation of the workers. In this study we adopt a social network approach to analyze knowledge propagation and to identify the potential members of CoP. We suggest a framework for classifying knowledge workers and the result of feasibility study.
A Case Study on NAC System Implementation for Infringement Prevention of Information Assets

The importance of a network security to protect infringement of corporate assets has been issued due to the increasing various threats such as warm virus, vicious codes, and hacking. Thus, the goal of this research is to discover the procedure and methods for a NAC system implementation. In this case study, we suggest that the critical management issues during the implementing a NAC system as well as measure its performance in qualitative and quantitative perspective. The contribution of this paper is both to lead to the further research in this network security field and to provide a guideline for companies willing to introduce a NAC system.
Born Global or Not? It May Depend on Psychological Ownership of Top Executives

'Born Global' is a core value that small to medium sized enterprizes (hereinafter SMEs) in Korea are pursuing due to increasing competitiveness and relatively smaller market size in domestic markets. How can we build capabilities to be born global? This paper seeks to find the answer for the question, and investigates the role of psychological ownership of top executives. Results show that psychological ownership of top executives positively influence the ratio of export in revenue, surrogate for global performance. In addition, the results show that psychological ownership can be built through information access, participation in decision making, and procedural justice.
A comparative study of switching intention of Smartphone users: Korean and Chinese

This study investigates factors, which affect subjective judgment of Smartphone users when they switch to a new product or other mobile carrier, and examine a relationship between switching intention and switching expected performance through users of in Korea and China. The results of the study showed that switching intention is positively associated with switching expected performance in both Korean and Chinese users. Brand reliability, functional quality, and general climate for Smartphone business have a significant impact on switching intention in both countries. In addition, personal innovation has a significant impact on switching intention of Korean users but Chinese. However, content quality has the effect on switching intention of Chinese user but Korean. This study provides useful strategies for switching behavior of Smartphone users of two different countries in the mobile industry.
