Application of trajectory data mining to improve the estimation accuracy of launcher trajectory by telemetry ground system

This paper is focused on how the trajectory of launch vehicle could be optimally estimated by the quadratic regression of trajectory data mining for the operation of telemetry ground system in NARO space center during real-time. To receive the telemetry data, the telemetry ground system has to track the space launch vehicle without tracking loss, and it is possible by the well-designed algorithm to estimate a flight position in real-time. For this reason, the quadratic regression model instead of interpolation was considered to estimate the exact position data of launch vehicle and the improvement of antenna performance. For analysis, the real trajectory data which had been logged during NARO 1st launch mission were used, the estimation result of launcher current position was analyzed by the mathematical modeling. In conclusion, the algorithm using quadratic regression based on trajectory data mining showed the better performance than previous interpolation algorithm to estimate the next flight position and the antenna driving performance.
A Method of Detecting Pointer Access Error based on Disassembled Codes

This thesis proposes a method for effectively detecting memory errors with low occurrence frequency that may occur depending on runtime situation by analyzing assembly codes obtained by disassembling an executable file. When applying the proposed method to various programs having no compilation error, a total of about 750 potential errors taken about 90 seconds are detected among 1 million lines of assembly codes corresponding to a total of about 10 thousand functions.
Incremental Channel Scan Scheme based on Neighbor Channel Information in IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs

Handoff is a critical issue for seamless roaming in IEEE 802.11-based wireless networks. In order to provide real-time services, handoff mechanism must be provided. However, the IEEE 802.11 standard handoff is not appropriate to provide the services, because it is based on the full-scanning approach which spends too much time searching Access Point (AP). In this paper, we propose a new scheme, which can reduce the scanning latency. A station performs full-scanning operation for finding APs when it enters wireless networks for the first time. The station sends the scanned channel information to AP. AP maintains the neighbor channel table based on the information received from stations. A station performs the partial-scanning by using the table. Therefore, the proposed scheme can reduce the scanning latency.
MWMon: A Software Defined Network-based Malware Monitor

An antivirus is a widely used solution for detecting malicious softwares in client devices. The performance of antivirus solutions in the mobile client environment is critical due to its resource constrains. Many solutions light-weighting client's overhead in the mobile client environment have been developed. However, most solutions require platform modifications or software installations and it decreases their realizations in practice. In this paper, we propose a solution detecting malwares on networks using the Software Defined Network (SDN). Our main goal is designing a solution detecting malwares of mobile client without involving the client into the work. We contribute to provide a solution that does not require client-side installations or modifications and so is easily applicable in practice.
A Block Replacement Scheme using Analytic Hierarchy Process in Hybrid HDD

The read performance of hybrid hard disk is better than the legacy hard disk and power consumption is also considerably low. As blocks with enough localities may be located in the non-volatile cache whose size is generally limited, an effective block replacement scheme is required. As this replacement is inevitably affected by various parameters, we define this issue as a kind of multiple criteria decision model. To solve this problem, this paper suggests a new block replacement algorithm based on the analytic hierarchy process. Through simulation for our model, we confirmed that the proposed model could be used as a replacement algorithm of the hybrid hard disk as it may improve boot time as well as response time of general applications.
Research on Image Compression Quality and Limited Inclusion of DCT Coefficient

In this paper, the DCT based lossless image compression system which selects a limited number of DCT coefficients is proposed for the Lenna, Camerman, and Baboon image. The number of DCT coefficients to obtain a suitable image quality for the reconstructed image is computed by simulation. The image size of
are used in the experiment. The PSNR values for the reconstructed image by selecting limited number of DCT coefficients are found. It is shown that the minimun number of the coefficients for Lenna, Cameramen Baby and Babbo image to obtain PSNR=30 are N=16, 32, 37, 55, respectively. The result can provide the guideline of the importance of the DCT coefficient toward the compression for the tested image of the Lena, Cameraman, and Baboon.
A Study on WT-Algorithm for Effective Reduction of Association Rules

We are in overload status of information not just in a flood of information due to the data pouring from various kinds of mobile devices, online and Social Network Service(SNS) every day. While there are many existing information already created, lots of new information has been created from moment to moment. Linkage analysis has the shortcoming in that it is difficult to find the information we want since the number of rules increases geometrically as the number of item increases with the method of finding out frequent item set where the frequency of item is bigger than minimum support in this information. In this regard, this thesis proposes WT-algorithm that represents the transaction data set as Boolean variable item and grants weight to each item by making algorithm with Quine-McKluskey used to simplify the logical function. The proposed algorithm can improve efficiency of data mining by reducing the unnecessary rules due to the advantage of simplification regardless of number of items.
Cascade mentoring system for computer major education

In this paper, we propose an efficient method for a university mentor-mentee system to assist the completion of a student's major study in a university. The proposed system connects undergraduate students from a freshman through a senior by the cascade type, and a mentor student in a sophomore or a junior year acts as a mentee at the same time. A mentee can get help not only from his direct senior mentor but also from all his senior mentors. Based on this, all students can be organically connected to each other, and then the students in the department can establish intimate relationships among themselves, which will in turn induce a good learning environment in the major education. The proposed mentoring system has been actually applied to the department students of computer engineering. The questionnaire surveys have been conducted targeting the participated student mentors and mentees, and then the operation results of the proposed system are analyzed in this paper.
A Study on the Impact of SCM Characteristics on Supply Chain Partnership and Corporate Performance

It is very difficult that a company could grow with its own competitiveness in modern global competition era. The pattern of competition is changing from company-to-company to supply chain network-to-supply chain network. In order to enhance competitiveness and survive capability by combining inter-enterprises core competencies, the effort to integrate and optimize supply chain are increasing. The purpose of this study was to specify the effects of SCM characteristics on supply chain partnership and corporate performance through corporate characteristics such as agility and visibility. So as to verify hypotheses, multiple regression analysis was performed by using SPSS statistical package. The results showed that SCM characteristics had the positive effect on agility and visibility, and supply chain partnership and corporate performance was statistically influenced by agility and visibility. This study contributes on the SCM related research in that it investigated SCM activities of construction machinery industry.
Exploratory Study on the Influence on Family Involvement on Corporate Innovation Performance

Prior studies have reported equivocal patterns of the results about the relationships between family involvement and firm performance, particularly financial performance. In line with this research trend, this study focuses on non-financial performance that agency costs may marginally influence. tries to identify the relationship between nepotism and the three types of innovation performance, namely corporate entrepreneurship, radical innovation performance, and incremental innovation performance. The results has shown that family involvement is positively correlated with the three types of innovation performance.
LCC Analysis to Determine an Appropriate Apartment Rent Rate for HVAC System Renovation Projects

Residential building owners are turning toward renovating their existing buildings to improve old and inefficient HVAC systems. Due to the renovation, much of the added costs will inevitably be passed on to tenants by increasing rent rates. This increment often increases the vacancy rate in the buildings. To balance the interests of both owners and tenants, this paper suggested a method to determine an appropriate rental rate increment for the HVAC system renovation. A case study on residential buildings was conducted to determine a balanced point where the rental rate increment that offsets the amount tenants are willing to pay for the renovation. To calculate all costs incurred by the renovation, life-cycle cost analysis was carried out. Therefore, this paper ultimately provides a threshold value of rental rate increment such that building owners can make a reasonable decision on the HVAC system renovation.
