A Specifying Method for Real-Time Software Requirement

This paper is on the analysis for the real-time software requirement. This method can be used for TNPN(Timed Numerical Peri Net) as a easy communication means with real-users. It is based on the RTTL(Real Time Temporal Logic) for correctness the system. TNPN is used to represent a behavior specification language, the validity of specified behaviors in TNPN is expressed in RTTL, and analyzed through the teachability graph. Thus, the requirement between user and system is satisfied Using the example of shared track, the validity of the property of real-time(safetiness, responsiveness, liveness, priority) is verified. Also this framework if given to connection with a object, natually.
Nine Obstacles to Overcome Y2K Problem in U.S. Banking Industry

This paper discusses the threatening problem of Year 2000 (Y2K) to the banking industry. Of all steps to prepare for this big challenge, the clear understanding of the problem is always first to cope with the corning crisis. We categorize the possible issues into nine facets: (1) Potential Systemic Issues; (2) Technology Problems; (3) Technical Resources; (4) Vendor Management: (5) Supervisory Coordination and Security Issues; (6) Spillover Business Risks; (7) Operational Problems; (8) Euro Problem; and (9) Face Closure or Loss of Federal Deposit Insurance. We believe that each or these nine issues must be dearly recognized and appropriately prepared by those bankers who want to avoid the disaster they have never experienced
Automating Warehouse Management Using a Bar-Code System

This study presents an Automated Warehouse Management System (AWMS) using a bar-code system The AWMS has been designed to be associated with an Integrated Production Management System (IPMS), which basically includes the following four modules i.e the sales management, production management, material management, and data management. Now, whenever storage or retrieval of the material occurs in the warehouse, the events could be processed quickly and accurately only through reading the 13 digit bar-code including 5 digit position code and simply typing in the number of material. Consequently, the AWMS associated with IPMS could automatically coincide the item counts on document with those in the warehouse. Also, this makes it possible to identify the material quantities in real time.

Currently, the existing order communication softwares are composed of database management characterized packages. Each indivisual module of the software is developer based on the text type environment which is inner data-process centered Therefore, actually these types of softwares do not consider the variety of the strange situation and the operating condition in real medical sites properly. In this paper, as integrating or distributing the computing system procedures as the common and particular field of the classified task group, we developed the system which simplifies the correction and the transplantation due to the variety of the order type and commucation processing.
A Study on Developing Education and Training System for Informationalization in Governmental Organization

The effective use of IT(information technology) will increasingly become one of the key determinants for successful informationalization in govermental organization And the ability of the public officials in using IT or operating information system is essential to the effective use of IT. This study focuses on constructing a theoretical base of developing the education and training system for enhancing the IT ability of the public officials. In order to achieve this research goal, first this study suggests four categories of IT education and training for (1) the basic capability of IT use (2) the skills of operating information system (3) the management competence of performing strategic use of IT, (4) the expert skills for specific IT, and then derives concrete items for each category. With respect to these items, we empirically investigate the degree of necessity and the effective way of education and training according to tasks, positions and ability of the public officials. The data analyses are based on questionnaires responded by 300 public officials who attend the education and training programs held by the Training Institute of Ministry of Information and Communication. The results of this study can provide the theoretical basis for constructing the IT education and training system which is applicable to most of Korean organizations. Also they can be used as a practical guideline in developing and promoting specific IT education and training programs.
Tuple Membership Values & Entropy for a Vague Model of the Fuzzy Databases

In this paper, the methods which calculate the tuple membership values in a vague model of the fuzzy databases are analyzed A method among them is proposed to offer the effective solutions to the users. Also an information theory is studied to calculate the entropy of the results of a fuzzy query and an algorithm is proposed to control the size of the entropy.
System Identification with Completely Unknown Periodic Disturbances in Active Engine Mount Control Application

This paper shows that is possible to identify the system's input-output dynamics exactly in the presence of unknown periodic disturbances for the Active Engine Mount Control Application .The disturbance frequencies and waveforms can be completely unknown and arbitrary. Only measurements of a control excitation signal and the disturbance-contaminated response are used for identification. Examples are given to illustrate the method, including the identification and vibration control of active engine mount for automobile.
An Empirical Study on the Effect and Operation of Quality Management

This study investigated the management environment of medium and small business by examining the role of medium and small business in national economics, the change in management condition, and the problems in quality and technique. Also we analyzed problems in the past quality control activity of our medium and small business, and examined the driving direction and intorduction method of QM. And to understand the effect of manager's concern in quality management to observe the quality system before and after introduction of QM A target for this investigation is the medium and small business which has introduced QM through ISO 9000.
Dynamical Properties of Ring Connection Neural Networks and Its Application

The intuitive understanding of the dynamic pattern generation in asymmetric networks may be useful for developing models of dynamic information processing. In this paper, dynamic behavior of the ring connection neural network in which each neuron is only to its nearest neurons with binary synaptic weights of ±1, has been inconnected vestigated Simulation results show that dynamic behavior of the network can be classified into only three categories: fixed points, limit cycles with basin and limit cycles with no basin. Furthermore, the number and the type of limit cycles generated by the networks have been derived through analytical method. The sufficient conditions for a state vector of n-neuron network to produce a limit cycle of n- or 2n-period are also given The results show that the estimated number of limit cycle is an exponential function of n. On the basis of this study, cyclic connection neural network may be capable of storing a large number of dynamic information

This paper is to introduce the definition and background of EDMS and present real customer project in manufacturing industry as reference. EDMS has DM, Workflow, Imaging and COLD as key components and should be interconnected with many advanced technology, such as SAP, PDM and KMS. Managing and controlling documents is an important part of business success. The number of electronic documents in use in the workplace is escalating rapidly, making it difficult for conventional IT systems to take full advantage of the benefits of digital documentation "A"company implemented DM and Workflow based on groupware So, all of SPECs and drawings could be easily stored and accessed via LMS. Also, the cycletime of ECN/DCN process could be reduced to one or two days from one or two weeks more The overhead resources from the managing documents and involving with work process could be re-deployed to the more productive positions and the increasing of revenue is expected soon because of the competitiveness. "A"company is expected to have more benefits, that is, lots of tangible and intangible benefits from now on.
Virtual Crisis Preparation Team : A Way to Improve the Crisis Management Vulnerabilities of Traditional Korean Organizations

Korea, one of the members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), has been one of the fastest growing countries in the world since World War Ⅱ. However, Korea has recently suffered from an economic crisis which has been mainly attributed to a fluctuating foreign currency rate. The future of Korea relies on how the country prepares and copes with the crises. There have been enormous effort to solve current economic crisis. However, preparation to the anticipated crisis is much more important than solving problems after the crisis. Recently, the virtual crisis preparation team approach appears to be one of the effective alternatives to cope with various crises. The objectives of this study ale to (1) show that crisis preparation is very important factor for the Korean government to one with the current and future crises; (2) to prove that the virtual crisis preparation team is one of the better alternatives to solve crisis; (3) to suggest a virtual crisis preparation team model can be adapted to the Korean situation.
Electronic Paymentsystem using Smart Card

The most important technical problem in EC is about secure electronic payment systems. Electronic payment systems come three different types distinguished by the payment method: electronic cash, electronic check, and creditcard. In these types, electronic cash payment system is popular and practical as in real commerce. But electronic cash can be copied easily, then it is infeasible to prevent user from double-spending a coin. In this paper, we overview several requirements for secure electronic payment system and present other proposed additions to the results. At last we present a model system which considers requirements above examined.
Analysis of the Electromagnetic Scattering by Conducting Strip Gratings with 2 Dielectric Layers

In this paper, Electromagnetic scattering problem by a perfectly conducting strip grating with 2 dielectric layer on a grounded plane by incidence of a electric wave is analyzed by applying the PMM (Point Matching Method) known as a simple procedure. The scattered electromagnetic fields are expanded in a series of Floquet mode functions. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients and the conducting boundary condition is used for the relationship between the tangential electric field and the electric current density on the strip When the incident angle is normal incidence the minimum value of the geometrically normalized reflected power according as relative permittivity is increased it should be noted that the value of the strip width gets moved toward high value. Them most energy by a normal incident wave is scattered in direction of the other angles except normal incident angle.
Analysis of Microstrip Circuit using FDTD and Signal Processing

In this paper, signal processing is utilized to reduce the computational time which is one of weak point of FDTD(finite difference time domain) method. Compared with the direct FDTD. combination of FDTD and signal processing achieves the same type of accuracy in much shorter time The combination method spends 140 minutes to analyze the frequence characteristics of the microstrip lowpass filter while the direct FDTD consumes about 900 minutes. To verify the obtained results, microstrip lowpass filter is fabricated on dielectric substrate and the measured results are compared with the analyzed results. It is shown that measured results are in good agreement with the theoretical results.
