A Intra-media Synchronization Scheme using Media Scaling

When continuous media are transmitted over the communication networks, asynchrony which can not maintain temporal relationships among packets my occur due to a random transit delay. There exist two types of synchronization schemes ; for guaranteed or non-guaranteed resource networks. The former which applies a resource reservation technique maintains delay characteristics however, the latter supply a best-effort service. In this paper, I propose a intra-media synchronization scheme to transmit continuous media on general networks not guaranteeing a bounded delay time. The scheme controls transmission times of the packets by estimating next delay time with the delay distribution So, the arriving packets my be maintained within a limited delay boundary, and playout will be performed after buffering to smoothen small delay variations. To prevent network congestion and maintain minimum quality of service the transmitter performs media scaling-down by dropping the current packet when informed excessive delay from the receiver.
System Development of Precision Vision Measurement Using Fuzzy C-Means Algorithm

The measuring systems of auto-parts are most of greater part very expensive. This paper tries to study to make a low-cost measuring equipment there's several kinds of parts in automobile. In this study, we take aircon-switch called magnet coil-housing as the object of measurements. The measurements of this product is currently in difficult situations at factory. In the case of the mesuring objects being big sizes and camera sensor having under 410000 pixels, the key point is the number of pixels not to be changed whenever the same object is measured under the same position. We modified and used fuzzy c-means algorithm to get mostly without the change of the numbers of pixels exactly. Also, the standardized ruler is necessary to measure the length of the object but it is not easy to get the precised ruler. Therefore, the standard length has been taken as the mean value of the pixels in the previous passed objects manually obtained at factory. The results are displayed on monitor and transferred these signals to the microprocessor through RSC-232 port to determine a good or bad of products.
Comparisn of ERP Platforms and its Utilization to Internet

As the market economy changes rapidly, a great number of enterprises are now preparing to introduce and construct ERP systeme to keep up their competitive power. However, for the ERP information in practical use the efficiency is very low because the range of its utilization is limited only within the enterprise that it is used In this paper, the comparisons between the existing ERP system configurations already in practice based on the client-server environments and the ERP components and platforms for applying to the internet are presented And we also show the strategic approaches for utilizing internet to strengthen the business power and to create newly added values of the increased reliability on customers by taking advantage of information on the marketing, the customers, the productive capacity. and the financial structure of enterprises in the internet environments.
A Study on Developing an User Interface for GIS Construction

This paper proposes an easy method to develope user interfaces for the GIS using local server automation In the developing stage of user interface the most important thing is to apply effective windows programming techniques and component software supporting techniques. This study shows an user interface developing method using the local server automation and Visual Basic programming. For a case study, the study constructs its user interface which performs map overlaying, referencing attribute tablet, graph analysis, drawing up of thematic amp.
A Buffer Management Scheme Using Prefetching and Caching for Variable Bit Rate Video-On-Demand Servers

Video-On-Demand servers have to provide timely processing guarantees and reduce the storage and reduce the storage and bandwidth requirements for continuous media However, compression techniques used in Video-On-Demand servers make the bit rates of compressed video data significantly variable from frame to frame Consequently, most pervious Video-On-Demand servers which use constant bit rate retrieval to guarantee deterministic service under-utilize the system resources and restrict the number of clients. In this paper, I propose a buffer management scheme called CAP(Caching And Prefetching) for Video-On-Demand server using variable bit rate continuous media. By caching and prefetching the data CAP reduces the variation of the compressed data and increases the number of clients simultaneously served and maximizes the utilization of system resources. Results of trace-driven simulations show the effectiveness of the scheme.
A Token Based Transfer Driven Koran -Japanese Machine Translation for Translating the Spoken Sentences

This paper introduce a Koran-Japanese machine translation system which is a module in the spoken language interpreting system It is implemented based on the TDMT(Transfre Driven Machine Translation). We define a new unit of translation so called TOKEN. The TOKEN-based translation method resolves nonstructural feature in Korean sentences and increases the quaity of translating results. In our system, we get rid of useless effort for traditional parsing by performing semi-parsing. The semi-parser makes the dependency tree which has minimum information needed generating module. We constructed the generation dictionaries by using the corpus obtained from ETRI spoken language database. Our system was tested with 600 utterances which is collected from travel planning domain The success-ratio of our system is 87% on restricted testing environment and 71% on unrestricted testing environment.
Bayesian Analysis for Burr-Type XStrength-Stress Model

In this paper, we develop noninformative priors that are used for estimating the reliability of stress-strength system under the Burr-type X distribution. A class of priors is found by matching the coverage probabilities of one-sided Bayesian credible interval with the corresponding frequentist coverage probabilities. It turns out that the reference prior is a first order matching prior. The propriety of posterior under matching prior is provided. The frequentist coverage probabilities are given for small samples.

Synchronized Multimedia Technology on Next Generation Web

Internet based on web service is growing rapidly and the effort to standardize the next generation web is wold-widely being made. When the web was developed for the first time, HTTP, HTML, and URL were designed based on the structure of text background. Through those asynchronous search and simple unified expression patterns have been used But recently many data on internet me becoming complicated Consequently new structure and expression patterns including synchronous multimedia information are requested The currently used standard language among user interface domain of W3C is SMIL which is XML-based one SMIL describes where and how long the multimedia factors are integrated on the web. In this paper the standardization trend and important issues related to SMIL are reviewed and analysed Also the development of technology is discussed.
Design and Implementation of an Integrated Authoring System for Efficient Multimedia Document Generation

In this paper, we implemented an authoring system in which it's easy and flexible for user to author multimedia documents. It can be characterized by the following properties. First, it provides a visual interface for easy multimedia authorings and presentations and defines a causal relation that can manage changes of media duration. Second, it provides an internal representation using tree and thus supports an effective document parsing. It also supports a presentation engine for effective presentations and user interactions in run-time.
Design and Implementation of Web-based Information Searching System with Mobile Agent Engine

This paper proposes a searching system with a mobile agent which retrieve data from the distributed hosts. The proposed system dispatched the movable objects, so called AGLET, to the distributed hosts in order to perform a task given by a client or a server. The network of the existing system must not be disturbed during a task is performing. However our system has the strong point that a task can be performed even if the network is disconnected on the way. When the network is disconnected, the system can get the results later after the network system is connected again. Designing the system has been done by using UML(Unified Modeling Language) which is a standardized object-oriented modeling language. AGLET, a pure JAVA product of IBM, is used for the mobile agent.
Efficient Parallel Algorithm for Gram-Schmidt Method

Several Iterative methods are considered, Gram-Schmidt algerian for thin orthogonalization and Lanczos methodfor a few extreme eigenvalues. For these methods, a variants of method is derived for which only one synchronization point per on iteration is required; that is one global communication in a message passing distributed-memory machine per one iteration is required The variant is called restructured method, and restructured method has better parallel properties to the conventional method.

The decision method for the selection of search engine and the number of returned documents for meta search engine proposed in this paper could provide a solution to reduce network traffic and to maintain the precision ratio. The experiments are performed to evaluate the proposed scheme using currently popular search engines and most frequently used queries.
Broadband Microstrip Antenna

In this paper, the electromagnetically coupled microstrip dipole antenna by adapting one parasitic metal-strip(dipole) between the microstrip transmission line open end and the radiating microstrip dipole antenna is presented for the bandwidth improvement The microstrip dipole antenna is simulated using Ensemble 51 simulation package The effects of varying several physical parameters, such as the lengths of radiating dipole and parasitic dipole and the width of parasitic dipole are investigated The bandwidth behavior of the 3-layer optimum antenna is compared with that of 2-layer antenna without the parasitic dipole. Experimental result for the obtained broadband performance is presented and discussed.

A Comparative Study of European and Japanese Multinational Firms' Global Sourcing Strategies

In this paper, the RBAC_Linux is security system which is designed for applicable on the Linux enviroment The applying RBAC model is based on RBAC96 model due to Sandhu et al. Therefor, the using designed RBAC_Linux security system on the Linux sever system have the advantage of the following: it can be implemented sever system without modifying its source code, high migration, easy and simple of secure managing.
Developing a Viewer for Raster Map with Vector Information in the Web Environment

This paper presents a method which enables raster maps to be used like vector maps in the wed environment and develops a raster map viewer which can be executed in the wed browser. Through the preprocessing process the coordinates attached to each object in the raster map can be used as vector information. The raster map viewer makes the spatial analysis possible using the attribute database connected to the coordinates of each object, This map viewer makes the Web GIS can be constructed at the lower cost because the viewer uses the characteristics of raster map. And the map viewer has merit point of easily developing a component for spatial analysis.

This paper proposes a new security system for the next generation mobile telecommunication system The system is based on the network domain security of the 3GPP. The system provides confidentiality and integrity services in the RLC layer, the second layer of 3GPP. Our system has merits in that it can provide security services without any modification to the 3GPP protocol and has low transmission voerhead. Security algorithm and mode are controlled by the RRC layer, the third layer of 3GPP.
