Performance of Wireless ATM Cell Transmission with Concatenated Turbo and BCH Coding

In this paper, a concatenated turbo and BCH coding is proposed for the wireless ATM cell transmission and the bit error rate(BER) and the cell loss ratio(CLR) for the Nosed system is obtained. Turbo code with code rate of 1/2 and BCH code with error correction capability of 5 and 15 bits are used in the simulations. It is shown that the proposed system obtained about 0.2 and 0.4 ㏈ gain over the conventional Turbo code at bit error rate of 0.001. Also the proposed system obtained about 0.1 and 0.2 ㏈ gain over the conventional Turbo code at cell loss rate of 0.01.

Accelerated Life Test and Reliability Growth Management Technique Within a Car Program

Accelerated life testing of a car is used to get information quickly on its life distribution. Test cars are no under severe conditions and fail sooner than under usual conditions. A model is fitted to the accelerated failure times and then extrapolated to estimate the life distribution under usual conditions. This paper presents an accelerated test md the reliability growth theory, and applies it to some subsystems of cars during their prototype and pilot testing. The data presented illustrates explicitly the prediction of the reliability growth in the product development cycle. The application of these techniques is a part of the product assurance function that plays an important role in product reliability improvement.
Design and Implementation of an Agent-Based Guidance System for Mask Dances

In this paper, we design and implement an agent-based mask dance guidance system which provides multimedia information on traditional masques through WWW. When the server receives a query from the client, it produces the multimedia data by connecting several real full-motion videos, and synthesizing adequate voice data for guiding announcement. To develop an agent-based guidance system, we designed and implemented four agents such as interface agent, user modeling agent coordinator agent and data management agent. The mask dance guidance system also provides the functions of searching using the keyword and learning.
A Study on Efficiency Improvement for GFR Service in ATM Switches

In a try to reduce the unbalance, MDFBA(Modified DFBA) algorithm is proposed in this paper. In this algorithm, cells in a region less than LBO are employed selectively to give less difference between fairness and efficiency. By choosing γ according to the situation of network, MDFBA algorithm can be applied to various situation effectively.

EC(Electronic Commerce) provides much easier access to visual and audio type data for customer. That capability of EC enabled companies to use new internet-based market campaigns and product sales. EC system is becoming an inevitable element for company. However developing actual EC system is not an easy task. It is mainly due to the early stage large development costs. Considering the above importance of EC and developmental issues on EC, this study is intended to figure out EC managerial success factors and analyze the current status of Korean EC market, We believe that the study results could provide the non concrete practical implications for future Korean EC market growth.
A Study on Adaptive Algorithm Based on Wavelet Transform for Adaptive Noise Canceler Improvement

Many paper about the adaptive algorithm based to LS(Least Square) to improve convergence speed are already presented. In this paper, we propose a wavelet based adaptive algorithm which improves the convergence speed and reduces computational complexity, and adapt two kinds of adaptive noise cancelers using the characteristic of speech signal. We compared the performance of the nosed algorithm with time and frequency domain adaptive algorithm using computer simulation of adaptive noise canceler based on synthesis speech. As the result the proposed algorithm is suitable for adaptive signal processing area using speech or acoustic signal.
A Full Digital Multipath Generator

In general, a multipath generator consists of a time delay generator, phase rotator, and amplitude attenuator, and is implemented mostly in an analog manner. Analog, or partially analog versions of a multipath generator is disadvantageous in that they may suffer from problems associated with component aging and adjustment, signal fidelity degradation stemming from repeated A/D and D/A conversion use of high frequency to achieve fine i.e., subsample fractional tin delays. This paper presents the design and implementation methodology of a full digital multipath generator which can be used in performance evaluations of digital terrestrial television as well as communications, receivers. In particular, an efficient practical method is proposed which can achieve both integer and fractional time delays simultaneously, without placing restrictions on the allowable system master clock frequency. The proposed algorithm lends itself to minimizing hardware implementation cost by relegating some fixed put of the computation involved to an IBM PC. The proposed multipath generator occupies only a single digital board space, and its experimental results are provided to corroborate the proposed implementation methodology.
