Design of LSB Multiplier using Cellular Automata

Modular Multiplication in Galois Field GF(2/sup m/) is a basic operation for many applications, particularly for public key cryptography. This paper presents a new architecture that can process modular multiplication on GF(2/sup m/) per m clock cycles using a cellular automata. Proposed architecture is more efficient in terms of the space and time than that of systolic array. Furthermore it can be efficiently used for the hardware design for exponentiation computation.
A Study on the PMC Adaptation for Speech Recognition under Noisy Conditions

In this paper we propose a method for performance enhancement of speech recognizer under noisy conditions. The parallel combination model which is presented at the PMC method using multiple Gaussian-distributed mixtures have been adapted to the variation of each mixture. The CDHMM(continuous observation density HMM) which has multiple Gaussian distributed mixtures are combined by the proposed PMC method. Also, the EM(expectation maximization) algorithm is used for adapting the model mean parameter in order to reduce the variation of the mixture density. The result of simulation, the proposed PMC adaptation method show better performance than the conventional PMC method.

Feature Extraction Based on GRFs for Facial Expression Recognition

In this paper we propose a new feature vector for recognition of the facial expression based on Gibbs distributions which are well suited for representing the spatial continuity. The extracted feature vectors are invariant under translation rotation, and scale of an facial expression imege. The Algorithm for recognition of a facial expression contains two parts： the extraction of feature vector and the recognition process. The extraction of feature vector are comprised of modified 2-D conditional moments based on estimated Gibbs distribution for an facial image. In the facial expression recognition phase, we use discrete left-right HMM which is widely used in pattern recognition. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, experiments for recognition of four universal expression (anger, fear, happiness, surprise) was conducted with facial image sequences on Workstation. Experiment results reveal that the proposed scheme has high recognition rate over 95%

Development of Fuse Box Assembly Machine for Automobile

This paper provides that improve productivity of fuse box assembly processing. It is the most difficult processing that automated receptacle assembly job for fuse box assembly. Most of these assembly processing has been made of fuse insert procedure to circuit board by hand-operated. Therefore this study develops the automative fuse box assembly machine for feeding each fuse model automatically.
Case Study of Building Special-Purpose Simple Browser

The purpose of this study is to build a special -purpose browser using the powerful Microsoft web browser control so that we will be able to code and create a special-purpose browser. For this development, some literature surveys were reviewed to understand how the web browser looks like and is operated. To create our own web browser, we have designed a sample case and coded in Visual Basic. The primary task of this job was accomplished mainly with a form. It is made up with a bunch of image controls, a status bar on the button, a picture box to contain the image buttons, the combo box, the command button, the menus, the statements shown in the following exhibits and tables of the main text respectively. After combining them all together, we have tested the form to see if it works properly.'rho program was also enhanced to have a special purpose feature that permits the filtering function. The result was somewhat successful. However, it had some limitations such as the simplicity of the programming structures and functions. Overall, this study was useful for understand a general outline of special-purpose web browser development.
Design and Implementation of the Remote Image Transmission System using CDMA Communication Network

A remote image transmission apparatus combines robot technology and image transmission there is safe problem or place that a person can not go. Recently, control apparatus that use wire and RF between web server and robot for remote control are developed. But there is problem that must install internet line and communication distance. Transmission distance problem call solve when using the equipment of RF, but price of RF router is problem that is very high cost. In this paper, we developed remote control system using the CDMA cellular phone communication network that can control image transmission and image transmission apparatus to solve these problem. Developed system could solve defects of methods that use existent RF and internet. And could transmit the most suitable image and voice under limited condition include current communication network.
A Modified Deterministic Boltzmann Machine Learning Algorithm for Networks with Quantized Connection

From the view point of VLSI implementation, a new teaming algorithm suited for network with quantized connection weights is desired. This paper presents a new teaming algorithm for the DBM(deterministic Boltzmann machine) network with quantized connection weight. The performance of proposed algorithm is tested with the 2-input XOR problem and the 3-input parity problem through computer simulations. The simulation results show that our algorithm is efficient for quantized connection neural networks.
Design of Hydraulic Power Lifter for the Elder and the Handicapped

This study has been advanced to the design method for embodying the hydraulic circuit and control device in considering the safety for the development of wheelchair lift, using in the public transportation bus. Recently, mobility and accessibility occurs for the elder and the handicapped in the aging problem, In this paper, we design the hydraulic power system to operate lifter loading one wheelchair handicapped person and one's supporter to get in the bus. We develop the lifter safely. We check the trajectories of lifter inside frame box to protect its corrosion and the stress at the joints of mechanical structure. Those can be helped to keep the safety and accuracy of the multiple dynamic systems for precision quality assurance in mass production.
A Model for Post-processing of Speech Recognition Using Syntactic Unit of Morphemes

There are many researches on post-processing methods for the Korean continuous speech recognition enhancement using natural language processing techniques. It is very difficult to use a formal morphological analyzer for improving the speech recognition because the analysis technique of natural language processing is mainly for formal written languages. In this paper, we propose a speech recognition enhancement model using syntactic unit of morphemes. This approach uses the functional word level longest match which dose not consider spacing words. We describe the post-processing mechanism for the improving speech recognition by using proposed model which uses the relationship of phonological structure information between predicates md auxiliary predicates or bound nouns that are frequently occurred in Korean sentences.
A Performance Tuning Technique for Interpretable Java Code by Realtime Class Generation

This paper presents a realtime class generation technique for Java performance tuning of enormously repeated codes needing interpreting. Based on interpreted results, a Java source program for a Java class including a method with the corresponding function is generated, compiled, and loaded on the memory. And then and next time, the newly generated method is called for processing the original codes. As the results, overall times of repetition processing is reduced.

The present paper mainly treats with almost f-cosymplectic manifolds. This notion contains almost cosymplectic and almost Kenmotsu manifolds. Almost cosymplectic manifolds introduced in ［1］ have been studied by many schalors, say ［2］, ［3］, ［4］, and almost Kenmotsu manifolds introduced in ［5］ have been studied in ［6］, ［7］. The present paper studies some geometrical and topological properties of the canonical foliation defined by the contact distribution of an almost f-cosymplectic manifold. The purpose of the present paper is to extend the results obtained in ［8］, ［9］.
Supply Chain Management from the Strategic Perspective through the Theory of Constraints

As the information technology including Internet not only opened the cyber world but also has evolved as a platform that enables a new generation of businesses and remolds the shape of thinking and the rules of supply chain management (SCM). By using the Theory of Constraints, which seems simple but robust to review the traditional SCM context, the paper proposes a conceptual framework to handle the SCM issues. From the strategic perspective, this paper focuses on three policy constraints: supplier-manufacturer oriented constraints, manufacturer-distributor oriented constraints, and supply chain oriented constraints. To optimize the throughput and sustain the competitiveness of supply chain members in the dynamic business environment, the companies should utilize the potential competency of information technology and consistently perform the activities of removing and/or reinforcing the constraints.
A study on the security system for wireless LAN

The rapid progress of wireless LAN technology has prompted new security problems and countermeasures against them. Since the mobility of users and wireless access to the network exasperate potential security threat such as eavesdropping and illegal access, security services for wireless LAN should be provided. In this paper, we define the security model, WEP and AES encrypt/decrypt technologies which are proposed in the IEEE802.11 standard and the IEEE802.11eS draft and propose the Key distribution protocol for the wireless LAN.
