Design of Object Manager for MPEG-4 Stream in the Wireless Multimedia Service Environment

MPEG-4 provides high compression rate and uses object-oriented method to describe components of its structure, which has currently risen as the core technique in multimedia service fields. Our research objective is to provide object manager to MPEG-4 system in order that effective multimedia service could be available by supporting powerful interaction and adapting to various networks and terminals. Through the object manger, priorities are given to objects of a scene tree and the objects having higher priorities are first rendered according to the terminal capability. It also manages synchronization and update of the scene tree and object informations caused by user interactions.
Preliminary Performance Evaluation of a Web Crawler with Dynamic Scheduling Support

A web crawler is used widely in a variety of Internet applications such as search engines. As the Internet continues to grow, high performance web crawlers become more essential. Crawl scheduling which manages the allocation of web pages to each process for downloading documents is one of the important issues. In this paper, we identify issues that are important and challenging in the crawl scheduling. To address the issues, we propose a dynamic owl scheduling framework and subsequently a system architecture for a web crawler subject to the framework. This paper presents the architecture of a web crawler with dynamic scheduling support. The result of our preliminary performance evaluation made to the proposed crawler architecture is also presented.
Resource Scheduling Framework based on Resource Parameter Graph

For the implementation of large scale GRID systems, the performance scalability in resource scheduling is clearly to be addressed. In this research, we analyzed existing scheduling frameworks from the viewpoint of the performance and propose a novel resource scheduling framework called resource parameter based scheduling. Proposed scheduling framework consists of three components. The first is the resource parameter graph that expresses resource information via inter-resource relation and the composition base on the hierarchical structure. The second component is the resource parameter tree to be used for the implementation of the memory-based index of resource information. The third component is the resource information repository which mostly consists of static data to be used for the general resource information services. This paper presents the details of the framework.
Implementing of Efficient Looms Management System

In this paper, we implemented a looms management system which supports remote monitoring and scientific management of the looms. In the implemented system, the layout of the looms is placed in the user interface, and each loom's operating state and rate are automatically represented there. The implemented system has aggregate query processing functions for the looms existing in the selected area by the louse and it also has high level query processing functions to support the chart and pivot table; it can be used as a decision support system. The proposed system can detect temporal or persistent problems of the looms. Therefore, it can be used to raise the productivity and to reduce the cost in textile companies by coping with the situation properly.
A Study on the Design of Cyber lecture Component

E-Learning is a modern main teaching method starting from the concept of remote education. This research is aimed for proposing cyber lecture library system and designing a cyber lecture component that becomes a basis for e-Learning system Cyber lecture library is a storage system of cyber lectures that can supply high quality data to the needed developers. Component consists of 5 categories and those are text voice, image, animation, and flash. By using this system the developers can save the necessary time and effort in education development. This system also helps students. The students can access various lecture data on a given subject and select the best fit for them.
Analysis on the core factors in the successful importing of ERP system in Small & Medium Enterprises - Focusing on the Cooperation Model between Industry and Education in Chung-Buk province

In the radical char]go of the business environments that the existing facilities can not guarantee the business-frosts anymore, enterprises have been importing ERP system. In Korea, Sam-sung Electronics did it for the first tin in the latter half of 1994 and other enterprises succeeded. Currently, government and public enterprises as well as most of the large enterprises are employing ERP system to sharpen the competitiveness and to win the business transparency. On the other hand, it is harder for small and medium enterprises shaded by the large enterprises to be well-equipped with information system such as ERP, because they have already suffered from chronic financial difficulties and shortage of many resources. Most of all, they prefer the short-term project that does not need much tine for them to make decisions and to carry out fully. Grounded on the above factors, in this work, I suggest the suitable ERP model for the small and medium enterprises and the successful importing process of ERP, which is derived from the previous researches made by other masters' thesis. If necessary information and human resources are interchanged pertinently between local education institute and small and medium enterprise, the latter could not only deal with the confronted difficulties successfully inside and outside but attain the goal of being proficient in up-to-minute high technology. Besides, giving the students the opportunity of researching into the practice of the business they have not ever known, local universities could help their students accumulate knowledges and acquire ideas which could not be achieved in pure academic studies. When the above-mentioned procedure is over, the students might get the intellectual faculty to ponder on the future more concretely and enter a profession more carefully. In the result, we would raise up the percentage of the employment among the graduates. And active participation of university professors is the last important factor that assists the small and medium enterprises for introducing ERP system successfully. Their scholarly attainments play an important role in strengthening local economy and make the business competitiveness balanced between the capital and the local economy.
Modified Element Type ID Representation for XML Structure Retrieval

In this paper, a representation method for structure information retrieval without schema and DTD of XML documents is presented. While existing researches have used DTD or schema to extract structure information, we extract structure information directly from XML documents. Especially the well-formed XML documents are only required to retrieve documents in the proposed method. Thus it can retrieve more general and various documents easily compared to the existing XML retrieval systems requiring DTD or schema. Experimental result indicates that the proposed method retrieves effectively structure information of XML documents independently to DTD information.
A Service Discovery Scheme Based on NAPTR Resource Record

NAPRT(Naming Authority Pointer) is a type of resource record specified in IETF RFC 2915. NAPTR enables to register various services in the Domain Name Systems and thus provides a way to discover services available on specific hosts. This paper describes the design and implementation of a Proxy DNS system aimed at supporting NAPTRs. The goal of this work is to study on the feasibility of the service discovery registered in DNS via NAPTR records and provides the result for simplicity and extensibility of implementation through the implementation of a actual Test-bed system This research result can be applied to service discovery in the resource information management for high performance GRE environments as well as to the implementation of DNS infrastructure for the ENUM.
A Study on Negotiation Decision Functions for Software Agents

Software agents reduce human involvement to a certain extent by automating routine tasks. However, most of agents have assisted with only a few steps in the multi-steps process of electronic transactions. In order to help users with the important steps in the electronic transactions, software agents need to persuade other parties to act in particular ways. While negotiations have many shapes and forms, this paper focuses on a particular class of negotiation, that is competitive business environment based negotiation. For negotiation with other parties in this contort, it is necessary for autonomous agents to consider environmental variables-the number of competitors, the number of negotiation parties, the maximum time by which they must finish their jobs, and user's preferences. Previous negotiation decision functions for the automated negotiation have used only time or the static numbs of negotiating parties as negotiation criteria, although competitive business environment should include potential competitors who can snatch negotiation parties away. This paper attempts to evaluate the performance of a negotiation decision function that considers the potential competitors in competitive market environment as well as that of a negotiation decision function that does not. For this evaluation, this study adopts the electronic marketplace as an application domain because many buyers and sellers compete for limited resources in the marketplace.
Design of an LFSR Multiplier with Low Area Complexity

This paper proposes a modular multiplier based on LFSR (Linear Feedback Shift Register) architecture with efficient area complexity over GF(2/sup m/). At first, we examine the modular exponentiation algorithm and propose it's architecture, which is basic module for public-key cryptosystems. Furthermore, this paper proposes on efficient modular multiplier as a basic architecture for the modular exponentiation. The multiplier uses AOP (All One Polynomial) as an irreducible polynomial, which has the properties of all coefficients with '1 ' and has a more efficient hardware complexity compared to existing architectures.
Comparision and Analysis of Algorithm for web Sites Researching

Visitors who browse the web from wireless PDAs, cell phones are frequently frustrated by interfaces. Simply replacing graphics with text and reformatting tables does not solve this problem, because deep link structures can still require more time. To solve this problem, in the paper we propose an algorithm, Minimal Path Algorithm that automatically improves wireless web navigation by suggesting useful shortcut links in real time. In the result of this paper, Minimal Path algorithm offer the shortcut and the number of shortest links to web users.
An Efficient Core Migration Protocol for Tree Building in Mobile Ad Hoc Multicast Protocol

Ad-hoc is the wireless network and consists of moving Hosts in environments which don't have a network-based Frame. Because ad-hoc is considered as broadcast network and network which has useful benefits, multicast muting protocols have been studied on ad-hoc network For this work we scrutinized ad-hoc and multicast routing protocols presented in previous works. And we presents a protocol for Ad-hoc network.
Development of Feeding System by Micro Particle Powder

The purpose of this paper is to development of micro particle powder feeding systems for the reduction of air leakage of the feeding system. Most of the powder-granule supply systems using compressed air supply have a large amount of air leakage interference. The results of this study lead to reduce air leakage rate by over 50% and to save production cos by. 60%.
Revenue Management and It's Application to ISP Business

The concept of revenue management have been used mainly in the service-industries like hotel and air transportation which handles perishable asset. Recently however, it is being increasingly applied to many other areas including travel, railway and medicine. This paper tries to introduce the concept into the internet business. Revenue management used in the service industry is a good system for the management of perishable asset. Internet business can be classified as various industries according to the characteristics of the individual companies. Contents providers and internet service providers are very similar to service industry, and revenue management system is suitable to them. This paper develops the ways to apply the revenue management concept to ISP business.
