A Study on the Cause Analysis for the Capsizing Accident in Fishing Vessels

In recent 5 years, the 70 percent of the ship's accident was occurred in the fishing vessels, and most of them were the engine troubles and collisions. The capsizing accident was comparatively low portion of occupation, which took only 2 percent, but the scale of accident and the loss of lives and property are known very tremendous. In this paper, it was examined for the stability provisions of fishing vessels in domestic and international to reduce the capsizing of them. Also, it was made an analysis for the case of capsizing accidents to suggest the measures against the capsizing.
Dynamics of Adult and Larval Dungeness Crabs: Larval Abundance as an Indicator of Adult Abundance in Regional Populations

The relationship between adult abundance and zoea I (ZI) density of Dungeness crabs was investigated in southeastern Alaska. Commercial harvest data (catch per pot) for male crabs larger than 165 mm in carapace width were collected from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) management area, district 114 and a subdivision of district 114, 114C from 1996 to 2003. Commercial harvests of Dungeness crabs in the management area varied interannually. Commercial harvests decreased until 2000 but increased beginning in 2001. ZI density was obtained from zooplankton samples collected monthly from sampling stations within the same management district from 1997 to 2004. ZI occurred mostly in May and June, but as late as July in 1997 and 2002. ZI densities increased beginning in 1999. Total densities of ZI were significantly correlated with the commercial harvest data of adult male crabs within the management area, 114C (tens of square kilometers), containing the plankton sampling stations, but were not related to total commercial harvests within the larger geographic management area 114 (hundreds of square kilometers). We suggest that larval density may be an indicator of abundance of adult populations of Dungeness crabs.
A Computational Fluid Dynamic Study on the Sculling Motion for Water Safety

This study analyses the effects of various angles in sculling on human body lift and drag by means of computational fluid dynamics, discusses the importance of sculling and provides a basis for the development of future water safety education programmes. Study subjects were based on the mean data collected from males in the age of 20s from a survey on the anthropometric dimensions of the Koreans. Moreover, lift, drag as well as coefficient values, all of which were governed by the angle of the palm, were calculated using 3-dimentional modelling produced by computational fluid dynamics programmes i.e. CFD. Interpretations were performed via general k-
turbulence modelling in order to determine lift, drag and coefficient values. Turbulence intensity was set to one per cent as per the figures from preceding research papers and 3-dimentional simulations were performed for a total of five different angles

. Overall, it is concluded that the optimal efficiency of sculling can be achieved at the angles
, and it is anticipated that greater safety and informative education can be ensured for Life saving trainees if the results were to be applied to practical settings. However, as the study was conducted using simulation programmes which performed analyses on the collected anthropometric dimension, the obtained results cannot be made universal, which warrants furthers studies involving varied study subjects with actual measurements taken in water.
A Development of Android Application for Physics Learning Based on STEAM

Though science and technology are evolving rapidly in recent years, the traditional science education has limits for students to be satisfied their interests and needs because they couldn't follow these speeds. STEAM as a education integrating science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics has strengths of increasing interests and understandings in science and technology and improving integrated thinking and problem solving ability for leaners. In this study we analyze the elementary school curriculum and construct physics learning based on STEAM and develop a android application to increase interests in science and improve problem solving ability. In the future, we need to analyze and develop the curriculum and contents for the STEAM education.
A Study on the Marking System on Fishing Vessel

In order to establish order in fishing industry by cracking down on illegal fishing vessels effectively, it is an essential requirement to identify marking such as the name of fishing vessel and a port of register more easily. Accordingly, it is quite natural that markings on fishing vessels should be marked clearly in an appropriate size on an appropriate site in order for them to be distinguished on the air such as from planes as well as on the sea. Actually, when examining marks such as the name of a vessel which are operating in the country, marks of most fishing vessels are too small as they cannot be distinguished with the naked eye even very closely. There is no coastal fishing vessel which marks the name of fishing vessel on the upper part in order to distinguish it from planes. Fishing vessel law generally which regulates the basic laws about shipbuilding regulates marks on fishing vessel, and fisheries law only regulates sign boards of fishing vessels. Problems and improvement of the marking system on fishing vessels suggested by this paper are as follows. First, in order to contribute to establish order in fishing industry, it would be desirable to tighten standards in fisheries law besides the fishing vessel law. Second, it is difficult to distinguish marks such as the name of a vessel as relevant laws allow fishers to make such marks too small. It is necessary to set the standard for marks larger than those regulated by the international treaty. Third, the relevant laws do not regulate a letter form of marks. Therefore, it becomes a factor to make small marks hard to be distinguished more. It is necessary to decide a clear letter form. Fourth, there is insufficient detailed international standards about the marking system. It is necessary to regulate a detailed standard.
History and Advanced Market Trends of Aqua-Pet Industry in JAPAN

The aqua-pet industry has been growing rapidly in the world's developed countries as well as Japan and Europe, but it was a small scale in compared with fisheries part, and political interest came mainly limited to food industry and research in Korea so that it has not been activated. Recently, a paradigm change for fisheries policy bring to have a interest in the aqua-pet industry as future growth power source. Therefore, this study shows that the advanced aqua-pet industry of Japan would be researched and analyzed in historical background, national interest and current aquarium market scale in order to predict the domestic aqua-pet industry rapidly developed in Korea.
The Effect of Differentiated Instruction Design Model for Early Childhood on Development of Teacher's Professionalism

This study which is an alternative exploration for improving the quality level of instruction considering the perception of the teachers in early childhood education field on instructional design is to develop Differentiated Instructional Design Model coincides with the purpose of differentiated instruction curricula and with instructional design principles, and to find out whether the model has significant effect on development of teacher's professionalism. With these purposes, the perception of 343 teachers from early childhood education institutions are investigated, and after component variables are set by drawing the instructional design model available in early childhood education field and reviewing the literature of differentiated instruction model, the Differentiated Instructional design Model for Early Childhood are developed based on FGI(Focus Group Interview) expert evaluation. The experimental study of 88 teachers working in childcare facilities was implemented for effectiveness verification. As a result, first, most teachers consider the priority on making the lesson plans as the development of early childhood and Kindergarten Educational Subjects, and they realize the development of instructional design model which contributes on lesson planning and implementation is much needed. Second, the Differentiated Instructional design Model for Early Childhood are developed, which consists of the cyclic process - pre-lesson phase, lesson implementation phase, and assessment phase -based on development characteristics of early childhood. Third, the experiment of the developed model showed that the scores of experimental group is significantly higher than those of comparative group in knowledge and technique development aspect, and self-understanding development aspect among the aspects of development of teacher's professionalism.
A Discussion of schooling related 5-School-Day Week

This study is attempted to explore direction for the schooling related 5-school-day week. For this end, first, the social background and educational meaning for the 5-school-day week were reviewed. It was found that there is a close connection between 5-school-day week and 5-work-day week. And learning by direct and actual experience is emphasized. Second, The present condition of the schooling were analysed. It was examined the guidelines for curriculum organization and time allotment proposed the 2009 revised national curriculum. Also, It was checked the educational background and qualifications, for example ratio of students to teaching staff, office of education, local government etc. Third, the direction for the schooling for 5-school-day week were discussed. The object of research related to the 5-school-day week was the applicabilities and limits of 2009 revised national curriculum. Also, It is necessary to establish a system of education office in local to work with the local government.
A Study on the Effects of Quality Management Systems on the Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Management Performance in Shipping Companies

This study aims to investigate the effect of quality management system in the shipping companies on the job satisfaction, organizational commitment, management performance. The quality management system is divided into operational accountability, employee management, crewman management, ship management, and sailing management based on previous study. Targets of survey are companies which are registered in Korean ship owner's association and Korea ship manager's association as of 2011. A total of 236 questionnaires are collected from shipping companies in Basan and Kyongnam from October 15 through November 5 in 2011. The result shows that operational accountability and employee management of quality management systems are mightily important in the shipping company. In the future research, based on analysis of shipping company's characteristics, the study for shipping companies which are perceived by customers could be conducted.
A Study on the Effects of a Relationship Marketing on the Customer Response and Long-Term Relationship Orientation in Freight Forwarder

This study aims to analyze a relationship marketing of freight forwarders, and based on this, customer's satisfaction, trust, and long-term relationship orientation are additionally analyzed. Through previous research, a relationship marketing of freight forwarders is considered, at the same time, the key factors of a relationship marketing is divided into reputation, physical feature, size, and professionalism. Targets of survey are companies which are registered in Korea complex transportation forward association. And a total of 292 questionnaires are collected from freight forwarder in Basan and Kyongnam from November 7 through November 18 in 2011. The result of hypothesis testing, show that relations between freight forwarders and customers is mightily important. In the future research, what effects of maintaining relation between freight forwarders and customers should be analyzed.
Preliminary Research for Factor of Obstructing Curriculum Reconstruction

The purpose of this study is to search for factor of obstructing curriculum reconstruction. we try to reconstruct curriculum for relevance and adequacy of educational content. There are many reasons for refusing mission of curriculum reconstruction. We searched the factor of obstructing curriculum reconstruction by survey and qualitative interview. According to the results of previous research, teachers are felt for strong demand of accountability and rigorous evaluation. In the future, the study of these themes will be approached by grounded theory and qualitative study because of nature of the reconstruction problem. Curriculum reconstruction is searched by teacher in real context of instruction and teaching.
