The Effects of Peer Tutoring on Students' Achievement and Learning Satisfaction in Liberal Computer Class in Univ.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of peer tutoring on students' achievement and learning satisfaction in a liberal computer class at university level. Traditional teaching method was applied for the control group consisting 55 students for 8 weeks. The experimental group containing 44 students was instructed using both traditional teaching method and peer tutoring. According to the results of diagnosed test, the experimental group was divided into heterogeneous ability group of 3 or 4. The tutor training was provided a week in advance of the class and the students played a role of a tutor and tutee by taking turns. The results showed no significant differences between the two groups on academic achievement; however, in terms of students' learning satisfaction, it displayed a wider range of results. The learning satisfaction data from the experimental group showed a much higher level than that of the control group. It is predicted that the amount of class hours of a week, the quality of the lecture and the application of peer tutoring affect the students' academic achievement. It is suggested that subsequent research on peer tutoring will allow for more in-depth study in this field.
The Durability of Polybutylene Succinate Monofilament for Fishing Net Twines by Outdoor Exposure Test

Biodegradable polybutylene succinate(PBS) is a kind of environmentally friendly plastics for fisheries, because it can mitigate the ghost fishing problem caused by gill-net and trap fisheries. To evaluate durability of PBS monofilament, each of different diameter 3 types of monofilaments were spun and exposed to 56 month outdoor and then their gravity, modification of surface, breaking strength, and elongation were analysed. The gravity of PBS monofilament was estimated to be approximately 1.24 when spinning ratio from 4.8 to 6.1. PBS monofilaments did not show any crack after 56 month exposed to outdoor and load-elastic elongation curve was showed sigmoid type. Decreasing ratio of elongation was appeared in the thinnest monofilament 0.2mm diameter and breaking strength was in the thickest monofilament 0.4mm diameter. Breaking strength and elongation at break were decreased rapidly after 48 month exposed to outdoor. Breaking strength reduced linearly after 48 month exposure, while no such linear relationship was found in the case of elongation at break. In results, it was investigated that the durability of PBS monofilament nets for gillnet and trap were 24, 50 month when keep to land, respectively.

An Analysis of Teacher's Perception on Implementation of After-School Computer Class

The purpose of this study was to investigate perception of primary school teachers about operation of after-school computer class. Research questions were set up as follows: First, what type is preferred on the operation type for after-school computer class? Second, what is the perception about the adequacy of contents for after-school computer class? Third, what is the perception about instructors' expertise? Fourth, what is the perception about the effects of after-school computer class? Finally, what is the perception about facilities/ equipment and evaluation system of after-school computer class? To figure out these questions, this study conducted literature review and questionnaire survey. The results of this study are as follows: First, approximately 82% of respondents preferred to have after-school computer class operated by outsourced agency. Second, overall, the perceptions about the operation of after-school computer class were positive: The adequacy of contents, instructors' expertise, the effects, facilities/ equipment and evaluation system are seen as mostly positive. Third, its differences between school self-operated computer class and private sector computer class were insignificant. Fourth, its differences among various sizes of the school were significant. The implementaion of after-school computer class was considered as more positive in small schools. Finally, researchers suggested that it was necessary to develop an plan considering school sizes for more efficient implementation of after-school computer class.
A Differentiation Strategy to Improve Educational Competitiveness of Education Department in Undergraduate: Employment Rate and Curriculum Nature of Pedagogy Relation Department

This paper focuses on a differentiation strategy to improve educational competitiveness of education department. The reason is that education department stand now on the brink of a precipice because of low employment rate. For this, I researched on 'employment rate' and 'curriculum nature' of educational technology department of YW university and A university, lifelong education department of S university and D university, educational psychology department of SW university which are all related to pedagogy relation department recording relatively high-employment rate. Through the date, I'd like to emphasize that competitiveness of education department depends on a differentiation strategy and that strategy must be based on the influence of education with the consideration of obligation and characterization. And we find that a influence of education can be demonstrated in two aspects : a rational scheme's side and lively culture's side. In the rational scheme aspects, diversification and specialization of curriculum content considering department characteristics and curriculum management including mentoring and sense of realism are emphasized. On the side of culture scheme, positive involvement of members, outlook on the world defined by the concepts like challenge and passion to the future, a sense of community. These discussions will be a guide role on the future researches which focuses on improving competitiveness of education department.
Water Quality Monitoring for Hazard Analysis in Aquaculture Farm of Rainbow Trout

Water quality has been considered to be one of sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) for hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) application in aquaculture farms. This study was conducted to evaluate a hazard caused by water used in aquaculture farm of rainbow trout. The water quality was analyzed to investigate both physiochemical and bacteriological level in water samples collected from aquaculture farm of rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. No significant difference were observed on water temperature and pH from season to season. However, the levels of dissolved oxygen were decreased as the outside temperature was increased, even if the levels were adequate for aquaculture. Also, other physiochemical analysis including biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and suspended solid (SS) revealed that the waters for aquaculture analyzed in this study was suitable for rainbow trout aquaculture. The bacterial analyses were also revealed that the waters for aquaculture were met to both coliform group (<18 MPN/100mL) and viable cell count (<100 CFU/mL). However, some of waste waters from aquaculture farms showed higher levels of BOD and COD than those of waste water standard (<2 ppm), suggesting that regular cleaning of fish tank and precipitation tank is needed.
The Residues of Antibiotics (Tetracycline, Oxolinic Acid and Ciplofloxacin) and Malachite Green in Cultured Rainbow Trout

Products from aquaculture have sometimes been focused on the problems caused by the contamination of chemical agents as the use of chemical agents in aquaculture has been annually increased. The risk of contamination of products by chemical agents is greater in freshwater than in seawater. In order to evaluate the food safety of a fish grown in freshwater, we investigated the residues of antibiotics (tetracycline, oxolinic acid and ciplofloxacin) and malachite green in cultured rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. Malachite green, which was prohibited in the application of aquaculture, was not detected in samples tested in this study. The residual content of tetracycline was determined to be less than the permissible amount, <0.2 mg/kg. The contents of ciplofloxacin was also less than the permissible amount, <0.1 mg/kg. However, in case of oxolinic acid, one of samples was only exhibited higher content than the permissible amount (<0.1 mg/kg). The results obtained in this study suggested that the control and regulation of chemical agents such as antibiotics was important to maintain a safe and worry-free seafood supply.
Investigation for Purification of Japanese Style Terminology Used in the Korean Fishing Vessels

In contemporary society, shipping and fishery industry tend to use Japanese language or Japanese style terminology extravagantly. It becomes a reason of preventing the communications between crews who have been working for many years and the beginners in the ships. Also the crews cannot easily understand the contents of the manuals that is explained in only Korean language. For this reason, the foreign employee have to study Japanese style terminology before begin start their work. I strongly believe that this is one of the major national contempt. It is reasonable to expel Japanese style terminology from the vessel if possible to enable free communications to each other. I inspected and examined about purification of 125 Japanese style terminology that is already examined in the fishing vessels 11 years ago. So, I expect this paper is a research for the eradication of the Japanese style terminology in the Korean fishing vessels.
The Influence of Social Presence for Participating in Social Commerce

This study shows how social presence(SP) dimensions influence online consumer's behavior in the social commerce(SC) context. It is expected that the results could be utilized in the development of SC websites. According to the results, the awareness and cognitive SP dimensions affected consumer trust, but affective SP did not. And then consumer trust toward SC websites as a belief affected attitude and intention of consumer. Thus, it was re-confirmed that a consecutive influential relationship in the theory of reasoned action, i.e., "belief-attitude-intention", was significant in SC context as well. Finally, it is required as a future research how to implement the awareness and cognitive SP dimensions in the SC websites.
A Study on the Relationship between Job Satisfaction of Lower-ranking Officers and Transformational Leadership of Higher-ranking Officers for the Government Employees in Education Administration

The purpose of this study is to analyze clarify the relationship of transformational leadership of higher-ranking officers and work satisfaction of lower-ranking officers for the government employees in education administration. The main conclusions were as the followings. First, looking into the analysis result on the transformational leadership of higher-ranking officers, there is a noticeable difference for each position, grade 6 shows noticeably low difference than grade 8 and grade 9 in overall position, and for each service agency, the government employees in board of education show noticeably higher difference than the government employees in elementary schools on entire serve agencies. Second, looking into the analysis result on the work satisfaction of lower-ranking officers, for each position, grade 6 and grade 7 government employees show noticeably low difference than grade 8 and grade 9 in personnel territory and education and training territory, and for each service agency, government employees in the board of education show noticeably higher difference than the government employees in elementary and middle schools on agencies. And third, looking into the analysis result on the relationship of work satisfaction of lower-ranking officers and the transformational leadership of higher-ranking officers, the statistically noticeable level of static correlation has been shown for vision setting and growth-striving territory from the lower domain of the transformational leadership of higher-ranking officers in personnel, compensation, working environment and so forth, efficiency territory of operation, cohesion territory of department and charisma leadership territory in personnel domain, cohesion territory of department in personnel domain, human respect territory in duty, personnel, and compensation domain.
The Effects of PEOE-Based Class on Learners' Long- and Short-Term Retention and Affective Area

The purpose of this study is to apply the PEOE class model that can enhance students' scientific creative problem-solving ability and self-directed learning ability in the middle school science subject and analyze the effects of it on students' long- and short-term retention, scientific creative problem-solving ability, and self-directed learning characteristics. And the paper has gained the following results: First, according to the result of analysis through the pre-test, post-test, and delay test to examine the effects of PEOE-based class on learners' long- and short-term retention, it is found to be statistically significant in the significant level of .05. In other words, the class using PEOE influences learners' short-term retention significantly, but it is even more effective in transmitting the concept that students acquire into their long-term memory. Second, according to the result of analysis through the pre-test and post-test to examine the effects of PEOE-based class on learners' scientific creative problem-solving ability, it is found to be statistically significant in the significant level of .05 in general. However, 'elaboration' and 'originality', the subfactors of scientific creative problem-solving ability, do not indicate significant effects. Third, according to the result of analysis through the pre-test and post-test to examine the effects of PEOE-based class on learners' self-directed learning characteristics, it is found to be statistically significant in the significant level of .05 as a whole. However, 'openness' and 'future-oriented self-understanding', the subfactors of self-directed learning characteristics, do not exert significant effects. Based on the above study results, it can be concluded that PEOE-based class is more effective for learners' academic achievement in science, scientific creative problem-solving ability, and self-directed learning characteristics than lecture-method instruction regarding the middle school science unit of 'The Properties of Air and Weather Change'.
A Study on Impact of Squat Exercise on Foot Pressure with different loads

This study is purposed to propose indices in order to achieve goals such as preventing one-sided movement of balance, preventing injuries to joints of legs, improving muscular strength of legs, and maximizing sporting achievement. In terms of methodology, this study has compared foot pressure distribution during squat exercise. This study targets 10 male students in their 20s of Department of Physical Education and 10 male students in their 20s of other departments of P University located in B City. Skilled members have been selected out of those who have had regular weight training experiences for last 3 years. As a result of analysis on impact of squat exercise on foot pressure, conclusions have been obtained as shown below. As a result of analysis on foot pressure distribution of back feet of skilled members and unskilled members during squat exercise, it was found out that foot pressure of left foot of skilled members was 0.13kgf/s, and that of unskilled members was 0.28kgf/s, showing significant difference (p<.01). As a result of analysis on foot pressure ratio of back feet of skilled members and unskilled members during squat exercise, it was found out that foot pressure ratio of left foot of skilled members was 50.03%, and that of unskilled members was 67.18%, showing significant difference(p<.01).

The fusion type human resources, it is a new human resources to scientific and technical information society of the future demands, and means to enjoy life with a creativity and expertise of fusion of various fields, to communicate in consideration of others. Fusion human resource education(STEAM), of "human resources to practice respect and compassion", "human resources equipped with communication skills", "human resources to pursue creativity and innovation" "human resources to understand the knowledge of the fusion to take advantage" in training I have presented to the area of core competence of the 4C 'Creativity"," Communication","Convergence', 'Caring'. In this study, the area of c ore competency for each element by elementary, middle, and high schools around the analysis of the target can be made by each school level to develop a practical program in the sense of basic research is to conduct. The findings are as follows: First, Area of Creativity, communication area, the contents fusion region, as well as care areas, to the detailed item capacity, the design of the class that contains the entire area should be performed. Second, Elementary and secondary school level analysis, design of the class containing the entire region up to capacity detail is required. High school was required study of school full of normal. Third, In general, for STEAM class environment and teaching model was developed by applying operations. Research and methods of teaching a wider variety of form was required. Later in this study is to develop programs and organize. and It intends to become the base to be able to interest and interest in science education by structured around the status of problems that can be found in the life of around themes STEAM.
Designing of STEAM Education in the Marine Field Applied with the Thematic Project Model and an Analysis of its Effect

This study aimed to discover the affective ability of students by applying a thematic project model concerning the marine field unit of science for third grade middle school students from among diverse methods of realizing STEAM education. Also, based on this, STEAM education is a new type of learning including the process of exploring by oneself, presenting, discussing and mutually evaluating by becoming an independent person in learning As the results of the study are as follows: First, the STEAM class applied with a thematic project model was discovered to promote a learning attitude toward science by learners. Second, the STEAM class applied with a thematic project model was shown to be effective in improving the self-directed learning characteristics of learners. Third, STEAM education applied with a thematic project model was found to promote learners' motivation for learning science. This may be an effective method for learners who have felt difficulty in the science curriculum or have not been interested in the curriculum by triggering voluntary motivation.
A Study on the Selectivity of the Mesh type Escape Device and the Applicability in a Set Net

This thesis is the fundamental study on the adaptation of escape device for reducing small fishes in set-net. The escape devices for experiments were made the mesh-type devices with three different mesh sizes (60.6, 75.8 and 120.0mm). The experiments of size selectivity on escape devices were conducted by using two kinds of species as black rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) and sea perch (Lateolabrax maculatusi) in the experimental tank. The size selectivity curve was fitted by using a logistic function and the parameters of selectivity curve were estimated by a maximum likelihood method. In the results; 50% selection ranges for the mesh-type escape devices with three different mesh sizes were; a black rockfish was 18.99 in mesh size 60.6mm and 21.96 in mesh size 75.8mm (120mm could not estimate). A sea perch was 22.02 in mesh 60.6mm and 24.46 in mesh size 75.8mm (120mm could not estimate). The 50% selection range of a black rockfish was wilder than a sea perch about 1.1~.2 time. Therefore, the small fishes are able to reduce by using the mesh type escape device. However, the optimum mesh size should be decided to consider the size of target species and economics of catches.
University's the UCC Project Teaching and Learning Model Development and its Application

This study was conducted for the purpose of developing the UCC project teaching and learning model based on the rationale which are applicable effectively in the field of university education. Firstly, we have designed the rationale based on the research of documents and preceding researches about teaching method models. Secondly, we have developed the UCC project teaching and learning model. the UCC project teaching and learning model based on the rationale was assessed by the professional formative evaluation group and tested in the field of university education in advance and thereafter. It was finally rectified and supplemented. Particularly, any corrections were to be made repeatedly in the stage of developing of the UCC project. And also, during the assessment and arrangement process, it was designed for the study participants to feel a sense of achievement as learners who combine knowledge and attitudes toward participants'subjects of the curriculum and professional vocational skills by performing the nursing science training scene which could happen in the field. Thirdly, the final version of the UCC project teaching and learning model was verified in its effectiveness by being applied in the field of the nursing science education in the
step. As a result, we noticed that learners diverse abilities were improved through systemic process and performing elements such as teaching plan which was needed for designing the UCC project in the field, making storyboard and skills for making video contents. We hope that the UCC project teaching and learning model in this study will be used by the students for designing, developing and utilizing educational UCCs which are necessary in industrial fields and it will contribute for training university students as professionals having the practical skills in the field.
An Analysis on High School Teacher's Stages of Concern on 'Creative-Experience Activity' in 2009 Revised National Curriculum

The purpose of this study is to analyze on high school teachers' stage of concern(SoC) on 'Creative-Experience Activity' in 2009 revised national curriculum and investigate the improvements of their levels. The subjects for this study were 234 high school teachers through out all part of the Korea country. The instrument for this study was developed according to the Hall & Hord(2006)'s stage of concerns questionnaire of Stage of Concern. The Data were analyzed by Profiling of teachers' concern and one-way ANOVA. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, 85.25% of the high school teachers were in stage of Awareness. 6.34% of teachers were in stage of Information. Most of high school teachers' concern about 'Creative-Experience Activity' was generally 'non-user' stage that unconcerned. Second, there were not significant differences in teachers' stage of concern according to their sex and teaching career except for region. In region, the teacher in metropolis tent to interest getting new information than small and midium size city. We need to make an effort to transfer from 'non-user' stage to 'early-user' stage of and 'impact' stage. To do so, we may sublate too much curriculum revise and start teacher training for 2009 revised 'creativity-experience activity' curriculum. The result of the study provide that there are not curriculum implementation success without teachers' concern about revised curriculum.
A Study on the Key Competencies of The married female immigrants at work

On this study, the survey was conducted for the married female immigrants at work living in the district of Pusan, Changwon and Gimhae in order to analyze the level of the key competencies based on the differences of their ages, their final educational background, the period of their staying in Korea, their Korean language competence, jobs and the employment status in their native countries. As the result of the analysis, firstly, depending on their Korean language competence and jobs, there were meaningful differences among the groups in the aspects of the nine key competencies including communication, numeracy, problem solving, self-management and development, resource use, human relationship, information, technology, and organization skills, with the statistical significance level of .05. Secondly, depending on their final educational background, there were meaningful differences among the groups in the other aspects of eight key competencies except problem solving, with the statistical significance level of .05. Thirdly, depending on the employment status in their native countries, there were meaningful differences among the groups in the aspects of the five competencies including communication, numeracy, problem solving, resource use and organizational skills with the statistical significance level of 0.05. Fourthly, depending on the period of staying in Korea, there is difference only in the aspect of communication. Fifthly, depending on their ages, there were no meaningful differences among the groups.
Distribution and Occurrence of Swimming Crab, Portunus trituberculatus Larvae in the Mid-western Coast of Korea in the Yellow Sea

Distribution and occurrence of swimming crab, Portunus trituberculatus larvae were investigated in the mid-western coast of Korea in the Yellow Sea. P. trituberculatus larvae were collected in July and August from 2010 to 2012. Bongo net with 303 mesh was deployed once with a double oblique tow. Zoea I (ZI) densities were highest in all sampling months. Then densities of later larval stages decreased dramatically. In general, larval densities at the stations in northern parts and coastal areas were higher than those at the southern and offshore area. Because egg bearing seasons of P. trituberculatus in the study area are between April and August, larval densities, particularly, of ZI may be underestimated. Considering higher densities of ZI and lower ones of later stages, larvae may be transported to growing area and returned to the parental populations. Larval densities and sea surface temperature were not correlated.

For improving the productivity of container crane, the more efficient container yard operation method is necessary in container terminals. Recently, container terminal operators make an experiment on the dual cycle operation, which ship loading/unloading were carried out simultaneously, for increasing the productivity of container crane. In this paper, propose a system operating efficient dual cycle methods as utilize Ad-hoc technology in distributed port operation system. The dual cycle methods that proposed recognizes position information of Y/T during an action in Ad-hoc networks in case of container transfer works by real time as load an Ad-hoc module to Y/T taking charge of a container transfer with quay and yard. Utilize Ad-hoc networks technology in an operating system of container yard, and efficiently distributed processing done Y/T to container crane compare with operation systems of the existing dedicated method, and an improvement can do an operating system of an yard.
