In this paper, LAN Access Point is realized by making out bluetooth protocol stack in Linux Kernel, porting Linux in an embeded system employed bluetooth module. Hardware for a general-purpose embeded system is designed and Linux Kernel is ported after deploying Bluetooth Module. Also, Boot loader for system booting and management is composed, and Kernel is modified to meet with the system. Finally, Ethernet devise driver is made out, and bluetooth protocol Stack and Lan Access Point are realized. The possibility of TCP/IP communication through LAN Access Point to PC employed Bluetooth module, which is considered as client, is evaluated. From the evaluation results, we can see that the performance in Telnet FTP, Web browsing through Bluetooth LAN Access Point is satisfactory.

In this paper, we propose a solution for interference with Bluetooth when connecting Bluetooth and other devices. The random frequency hopping technique is a technique of generating a hopping pattern using the entire Bluetooth channel without considering the interference of the wireless LAN. The proposed adaptive frequency hopping technique is a technique for generating a hopping pattern of Bluetooth channel considering periodic carrier sensing of Bluetooth and considering WLAN interference. Simulation results show that the use of adaptive frequency hopping reduces the packet error rate as the Bluetooth carrier sensing interval decreases even in the congestion of WLAN interference. Especially, the frequency hopping technique improves the average packet error rate by about 13% compared to the adaptive frequency hopping technique.

In this paper, a point-to-multipoint wireless communication system based on Bluetooth specifications, which is possibly applied to very large vessels, is implemented and analyzed. Here, a communication network is composed of a slave Bluetooth module connected to the task computer and multiple master Bluetooth modules equipped with a sensor. And exploiting the point-to-multipoint data communication among the Bluetooth modules, a surveillance system that recognizes and controls a variety of emergency situations happened on a large vessel is implemented. It is, therefore, considered that the wireless communication system implemented in this paper is possibly exploited a basic technology for the digital shipbuilding of the next generation.

Bluetooth technology has been applied to mobile device, personal computers, peripherals, information and variety of consumer electronics. Not also the original Bluetooth technology must be especially focused in the application of mobile phone but applications such as wireless headsets and dial-up networking may be increased. However Bluetooth is so only focused to wireless headset application that the various software applications are presently ignored. In this paper, we propose the framework design to implement Bluetooth profile for kiosk servers, which can be used in Theater, train station, bank, government and public offices. Then mobile devices capable of processing user's input/output can be remotely accessed in these servers by using Bluetooth module and AP, although Kiosk servers are only processed user input data.

In addition to wired communication technology, wireless communication technology has been driving communication revolution nowadays. Bluetooth technology carries out data/voice communication making pico-net and the various application services are supported by access network connected to public network. This paper presents educational software development of bluetooth protocol stack including HCI, L2CAP, RFCOMM, SDP and profiles including GAP, SPP, GEOP, FTP. This software which supports programming environment of these protocol monitoring and emulation is implemented basically step by step for education based on H connected to the bluetooth device through RS-232-C, UART or USB cable. Application program coded by Visual C is operated over the firmware loaded on the bluetooth device connected to the PC. Additionally ftp and chatting function are developed to enhance educational efficiency.

In this paper, we describes the development of Bluetooth network Access Point(AP) for the access network connection of Bluetooth devices at home. Unlike headset, mouse, and keyboard, the AP should have capability to support multiple connection and stabilized network throughput. Our AP allows various kinds of Bluetooth terminals to access the access network like xDSL and PSTN(Public Swithced Telephone Network) stably. Especially, users can access the PSTN at home instead of expensive CDMA network through the AP by using the one-phone which is the cellular phone with the Bluetooth module.

Bluetooth 4.0 is a low energy near communication technology. It is a suitable for Internet of Things(IoT), that is, all devices using small electric power consume are connected because power consumption is more lowing and brodening for application scope against bluetooh 3.0. Therefore in this paper, a present situation of beacon technologies are investigated and a design principle of restaurant advertisement and order system using beacon technology are presented. A beacon which is tranceiver based on bluetooth 4.0 technology and bluetooth 4.0 receiver device design is showed and design method of smart-phone interlocking these devices is presented. Also it shows that this design method is very useful for the Restaurant Advertisement & Order Commercial System production.

This paper presented about the system for controlling a wireless power transmission using bluetooth protocol. Bluetooth protocol has been applied in many fields that communicate with data and audio signal in short range. Recently, however, Bluetooth low energy(BLE) more simple than the existing protocol is standardized and is widely used in medical applications and consumer electronics that handle small amount of sensor data and transmit by the low power control signal. It has also been adopted as the standard for the control in the wireless power transfer system. In this paper, We analysed and described the bluetooth low energy protocol techniques for controlling the wireless power transfer system.

In this study, we analyzed the variations in the received signal strength index (RSSI) measured from Bluetooth beacons based on the strength and propagation direction of Bluetooth low energy (BLE) signal. Using a smartphone, we performed field experiments to investigate RSSI variations in the BLE signal transmitted by non-directional and directional beacons in an amethyst mine. In case of non-directional beacons, as the distance between the Bluetooth beacon and smartphone decreased, the RSSI increases, whereas as the BLE signal strength increased, the RSSI average gradually increased. The mean value of RSSI measured from the directional beacons was changed without relation to the facing angle between the Bluetooth beacon and smartphone. The results of this study can be used as basic data for developing a Bluetooth beacon-based proximity warning system for underground mines.

Today, although most bluetooth hands-free devices within a vehicle provide telephone service functions such as voice communication, caller id display and SMS message display and so on, they do not provide a function that displays Internet-based text data. We need to develop a scheme that displays the internet-based text data including existing hands-free function because the request for using the Internet service is increasing within a vehicle recently. The proposed bluetooth device application includes advanced function such as SNS message arrival notification, the message display function and we chose Android as the implementation mobile platform giving consideration to the fact that most SNS applications operate on Android and the platform is easily embedded into small embedded device. Smartphone or tablet PC connected with the proposed bluetooth device is an Android-based device and we designed a form of Android app for the function implementation of the devices. When the audio-text gateway app receives SNS text data, it extracts title and sender information from the message header information in a form of text data and sends them via ACL (Asynchronous Connection-Oriented) link to the bluetooth device showing the data on the screen. Android-based bluetooth devices are not possible to play voice through speaker because the bluetooth hands-free or headset profile ported within Android platform normally only includes audio gateway's function. The proposed bluetooth device application, therefore, applies the streaming scheme that sends data via ACL link instead of the way that sending them via SCO (Synchronous Connection-Oriented) link.
