조건문에 관한 성향적 분석

  • 직설법적 조건문의 이론이 해결해야 할 문제 중 하나는 각자 옳을 것 같지만 모두 참일 수 없는 직설법적 조건문에 관한 세 원리들이 있다는 것이다. 먼저 직설법적 조건문을 진리 함수적으로 분석하는 것은 '주관적 확률'을 고려할 때 이 문제를 해결할 수 없다고 논증할 것이다. 필자는 여기서 직설법적 조건문에 관한 성향적 분석을 제시하고 이 이론이 세 원리들의 문제를 해결한다고 주장한다. 그리고 잘 알려져 있는 직설법적 조건문의 수용 조건 혹은 주장가능성 조건을 제시하는 아담스 논제는 조건부 확률이 두 절대적 확률의 비로 정의된 다면 옳지 않을 것이라고 주장한다. 조건부 확률을 성향적으로 정의할 경우에만 아담스 논제는 옳을 수 있다. 마지막으로 아담스 논제의 주장가능성 조건을 진리 조건으로 제시하는 이론도 논박될 것이다.

  • 최초의 국내 껌 생산은 해태제과에서, 오늘날의 추잉 껌과 같은 제품은 1880년 경 미국인 토마스 아담스에 의해 상품화되었다. 그가 멕시코에서 자라나는 사포릴라 나무의 라텍스인 치클을 뜨거운 물 속에 넣어 부드럽게 한 다음, 손으로 둥글게 빚어서 약국에서 판매한 것이 껌의 원조가 되었다. 본격적으로 껌이 생산된것은 1890년대 초반, 월리엄 위그리가 회사를 설립하여 미국 전역에 판매하면서부터 확장되기 시작했다. 이 회사는 오늘날까지 전 세계 껌 시장의 최강자 위치를 굳히고 있다. 1928년에는 회계사인 월터 다이머가 풍선껌을 개발하여 껌의 대중화에 지대한 공헌을 세웠다.

반 멕기의 반례와 해결책

  • 반 멕기는 전건긍정규칙의 반례라고 하는 것을 제시하였다. 지금까지 그것이 과연 진정한 반례인지를 두고 많은 논의가 있었다. 이 논문에서 나의 목적은 조금 다르다. 나는 여기서 반 멕기의 반례가 생겨나는 구조를 밝히고자 한다. 우선 나는 내 자신이 구성한 반례를 하나 제시할 것이다. 그런 다음 반례가 생겨나는 기본 구조를 찾아내고, 이런 분석이 다른 반례에도 그대로 적용된다는 점을 보임으로써 나의 제안이 옳은 분석이라는 점을 확증하기로 한다. 이를 통해 최종적으로 우리는 반례가 만들어지는 메커니즘을 분명히 할 수 있을 것이다. 나는 석기에는 조건문에 대한 특정한 이해가 들어 있다는 점을 보일 것이다. 반례가 생겨나는 구조를 파악하고 나면 반례의 해결책을 마련하는 일은 그다지 어렵지 않다. 끝에서 나는 그런 해결책을 간단히 언급하고자 한다.

Structural Damage Detection for Metal Panel Using Embedded Sensitivity Functions (내재민감도 함수를 이용한 단열타일의 손상 탐지 기법)

  • Vibration-based damage identification method using embedded sensitivity functions is discussed. The theory of embedded sensitivity functions is reviewed and applied to identify damage in a three degree-of-freedom system and a metallic panel. Embedded sensitivity functions are algebraic combinations of measured frequency response functions that reflect changes in the response of mechanical systems when mass, damping or stiffness parameters are changed. By comparing the embedded sensitivity functions with finite difference functions using undamaged and damaged frequency response functions, damage is shown to be properly detected, located and quantified in theory and practice assuming that structures of interest are only damaged in one location. Simulated and experimental results indicate that the technique is most effective when changes to frequency response functions are small to avoid distorsions in the estimated perturbations due to variations in the sensitivity functions.

Stalnaker's Theory of Indicative Conditionals (직설법적 조건문에 대한 스톨네이커의 해석)

  • This paper defends Stalnaker's theory of indicative conditionals. His theory consists of selection functions and pragmatic constraints. The selection function takes a certain possible world(W) and a proposition(A) to yield a possilble world that is similar to W and in which A is true. And the pragmatic constraints plays role to make selection functions apply just to indicative conditionals. According to Stalnaker, as indicative conditionals has strong truth-value, uncontested principle always holds but passage principle does not always hold. However, his theory can explain why passage principle sometimes holds by means of pragmatic constraints. Also, this paper argues that Stalnaker's theory is the most acceptable one among others, by replying to criticisms suggested by Adamsians and the problem raised by Gibbard and other criticisms.

  • The aim of this paper is to clarify the structural stability of Refracted Telescopic Boom in 30m Class with the Property of Working Range Insulation. The boom of insulation special vehicle consists of a 3-stage telescopic boom, 2-stage refracting boom, insulation boom and effector. The catia solid geometry of the boom was used to generate both a basic ADAMS model and the finite element meshes for the flexible components. The flexible bodies were generated by using the finite element program of ANSYS and then imported into the ADAMS model and their flexibility accounted to the dynamic analysis of boom. Embedding finite element representations within the ADAMS model, offers the advantage being able to perform the durability analysis and the resulting damage. Through this approach, the crack locations(hot spots) in a prototype can be predicted successfully, thereby validating the analysis procedure.

  • This paper presents the Application of Response Surface Method for Optimal Transfer Conditions of MLCC Alignment System. his paper is composed of two parts: (1) Testing performance verification of MLCC alignment system, compared with manual operation; (2) Applying response surface method to figuring out the optimal transfer conditions of MLCC transfer system. Based on the successfully developed MLCC alignment system, the optimal transfer conditions have been explored by using RSM. The simulations using $ADAMS^{(R)}$ has been performed according to the cube model of CCD. By using $MiniTAB^{(R)}$, we have established the model of response surface based on the simulation results. The optimal conditions resulted from the response optimization tool of $MiniTAB^{(R)}$ has been verified by being assigned to the prototype of MLCC alignment system.

  • Role of landing gear is to absorb energy which is generated by aircraft ground maneuvering and landing. Generally, in order to absorb the impact energy, oleo-pneumatic type shock absorber is used in aircraft landing gear. Oleo-pneumatic type shock absorber has a good energy absorption efficiency and is light in weight because structure of oleo-pneumatic type shock strut is relatively simple. In this study, dynamic load analysis for swinging arm type landing gear was performed to predict landing loads. Modeling of landing gear was conducted with MSC.ADAMS, and dynamic landing loads were analyzed based on ADS-29. Optimum landing loads were generated through adjustment of damping orifice and the analysis results were presented with various aircraft attitude.

Hysteretic Characteristics of Leaf Springs in Commercial Vehicles (상용차량용 판스프링의 이력특성 구현)

  • Multi-leaf springs are widely used for a major suspension component in many commercial vehicles. The modeling technique of multi-leaf springs is one of the most difficult problems in suspension modeling as the elements have complicated nonlinear characteristics such as a hysteresis behavior due to the friction. In this paper, hysteretic characteristics with the static and dynamic test are modeled and are simulated with three links and joints in MSC.ADAMS. Simulation results showed good agreements with test results. Using this methodology, it is expected that dynamic characteristics of suspension system with multi-leaf spring can be more accurately evaluated in vehicle dynamics.
