  • In this study, we propose an ontology based knowledge service system for efficient and sustainable sports events management with information and communication technology. For delivering personalized information and knowledge which relate on sports event operation and management, we analyze the core operations and suggest structure of sport event life-cycle process. Also, we design ontology based knowledge service as proposed in this study to apply on a golf tournament event management system.

  • The typical Kinetic Family Drawing (KFD) Web database system, a form of prototype system, has been developed, relying on the suggestions from family art therapists, with an aim to handle large amounts of assessment data and to facilitate effective implement of assessment activities. However, unfortunately such a system has an intrinsic problem that it fails to collect clients' behaviors, attitudes, facial expressions, voices, and other critical information observed while they are drawing. Accordingly we propose the ontology based video event analysis and video retrieval system in this paper, in order to enhance the function of a KFD Web database system by using a web camera and drawing tool. More specifically, a newly proposed system is designed to deliver two kinds of services: the client video retrieval service and the sketch video retrieval service, accompanied by a summary report of occurred events and dynamic behaviors relative to each family member object, respectively. The proposed system can support the reinforced KFD assessments by providing quantitative and subjective information on clients' working attitudes and behaviors, and KFD preparation processes.

  • In this study it is intended to develop the ontology which can express the relation between objects with emphasis on the structural representation of semantics. Its interoperability with other kinds of previous ontology and metadata was also considered so that the developed ontology may be applicable to the real situation. The ABC Ontology can get extended into another field where the application of the concept of event is Possible, for ABC Ontology Provides the fundamental framework on the axis of event. In this study it is Music where ABC Ontology can be applied properly, which results in creating Music Ontology. Music Ontology Provides the infrastructure of knowledge for reasoning of Potential meaning as well as the simple semantic connection of terms. The extended model of ABC Ontology has been developed by applying Music Ontology, which is the domain ontology and conveys meaning, to ABC Ontology that represents the whole framework. The representation of conceptual relation in ABC Ontology turns into the association of the framework and meaning in the extended model of ABC Ontology, with reasoning rules which are typical in ontology Also, interoperability of the extended model of ABC Ontology is examined in consideration of co-operating with metadata different from those in it.

  • Archival description is considered as a creation and curation process, and the results of the descriptive records can be used for archival information service. Therefore, various archival descriptive standards provide essential guidelines for establishing a semantic and synthetic structure of the archival records. In this study, the structural aspects of the archival descriptive standards were analyzed and an experimental mapping between General International Standard Archival Description (ISAD(G)), the archival standard, and CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model (CIDOC CRM), the domain ontology of cultural heritage field was performed. The data structure of ISAD(G) is examined in advance and mapping was performed using Karma as a platform. It was thus concluded that there is a need to understand the ontology-based mapping method and the event-focused domain ontology. Moreover, developing a CIDOC CRM-compatible archival ontology and restructuring the legacy ISAD(G) are needed.

  • To provide social security and for cooperative smart camera context awareness processing, each camera stores and exchange context data. For a specific event, measured values with other context data is stored RDB. RDB is transformed to ontology RDF file and is used for context reasoning. Interoperability between smart cameras conforms to ONVIF and constitutes intelligent surveillance system. To guarantee the confidentiality and integrity, securiy techniques are adopted. Security overhead between agents is analyzed in the prototype system implemented.
