  • In this study, the information and communication technology ICT companies, 312 companies, in order to analyze the impact of the effect of satisfaction on the Exhibition and Convention on the impact of Information and Communication Technology Exhibition and Convention satisfaction effects analysis by information and communication technology Convention e-Portal affect the infrastructure system, exhibition and Convention, Convention Industry competitiveness, Convention, Convention Tour Program components to satisfy Convention effect empirically the effect on information and Communications Technology exhibition and Convention industry Convention and satisfaction effects on were analyzed. A result was able to find that information and communication technology goods and technology, tourism technology infrastructure technologies program, e-portal system, industrial competitiveness and technology Exhibition and Convention of Effects. Exhibition and Convention ensure the effect of the base material and environmental factors, these factors determine the product development laid the foundation. Product type defined, you can see that affecting economic ripple effects and satisfaction. Exhibition and Convention can achieve the effect of information and communication technologies to reduce your operating costs.

  • This study examined the present condition of convention of convention in Korea and the establishment of strategies for the convention marketing. It is defined as establishing a direction of decision-making for the achievement of efficiency in the convention activities and consists of the following steps; firstly, to set up a target market through the analysis of the convention market and the itemization of the market, and then to draw up a budget and adopt a strategy of convention marketing. Based on this plan of convention marketing, I think the 7P strategy variables such as product, price, passage, and promotion, as well as the participant, physical proof, and process of service assembling should be fixed to attain the target market, for the convention industry is a field of service industry.

  • As environment issues arise, environment-friendliness in convention industry has also been discussed. Guidelines are presented by government and convention organization to settle environment-friendly convention. However, these efforts focus on organizers and suppliers, lacking in understanding convention participants. This study tries to approach in perspective of convention participants to get useful information for environment-friendly convention. The research explores how they are aware of environment issues and accept environment-friendly convention attributes according to their cognition of environment. It also examines the relationship between those attributes and intention of participation according to their awareness of environment. The results shows that participants have high awareness about environmental issue and recognized high necessity for set up for specific action plan. They showed highest acceptance of venue followed by activity, transportation, food & beverage, and operation. High awareness group showed higher acceptance of environment-friendly convention attributes than low awareness group. 'Transportation', 'activity', and 'operation' among five attributes were examined to have significant effect on intention of participate environment-friendly convention in both groups.

  • This study was to explore the relationships between convention mobile applications, and convention participants' satisfaction and loyalty. Recently mobile applications by using smart-phone have been utilized to provide relevant information and contents, Similarly, convention industry utilize mobile application to provide convention program, speakers, and other information and contents, However, only few research has been conducted to investigate convention mobile application characteristics and benefits. This study provides the results of convention mobile application characteristics and its impacts on participants' satisfaction and loyalty. Among convention mobile application characteristics, conveniency and information are important factors to enhance convention participants' satisfaction and loyalty. More discussion and implication is provided in the conclusion section.

  • Developed social infrastructures such as transportations, communication systems have given a lot more opportunities to people to participate in convention recently. this tendency is not only for the Government offices or major companies but also for civic activities of many different fields in order to find the solutions and convoke the cooperations of their facing problems. Both central Government and provincial offices trying to channel the convention industry and local development as well. In this study, we have reviewed that the city of Daejeon had tried to it's best to vitalize the regional economy. especially, Daejeon has Daedeok research complex which gives tremendous motive to establish convention industry which is also one of the main projects of Daejeon future developing plans. moreover I have suggested few matters needed to be solved

Exhibition and Convention Destination Site Evaluation Using Importance-Performance Analysis (중요도-성취도 분석에 의한 전시컨벤션 개최지 평가)

  • This study aims to examine seven factors and forty-two selection attributes of Seoul as an Exhibition and Convention Destination Site through the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) from the Exhibition and Convention Planner. The result of this study shows these three conclusions. First, according to the result of the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) of the forty-two selection attributes of an Exhibition and Convention Destination Site, thirteen attributes were placed on the right top area(Keep Up the Good Work), four attributes were placed on the right bottom area(Possible Overkill), five attributes were located on the left top area(Concentrate Here), and the other twenty attributes were located on the left bottom area(Low Priority). Second, the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) of seven factors in an Exhibition and Convention Destination Site reveals that the factors in the right top area(Keep Up the Good Work) of high importance and high performance were "Exhibition and Convention Center Facilities", "Exhibition and Convention Fee", and "Exhibition and Convention Center Accommodation Capacity". And the one factor located on the left top area(Concentrate Here) of high importance and low performance was "Exhibition and Convention Destination Regional Space", while the other factors of "Exhibition and Convention Center Management", "Exhibition and Convention Destination Tourism Space" and "Exhibition and Convention Destination Leisure Activity Space" were placed on the left bottom area(Low Priority) of low importance and low performance. Third, the difference of the mean value of the Importance and Performance on Seoul as an Exhibition and Convention Destination Site has been revealed that the performance of the attributes was lower than the importance of the attributes because forty attributes have described all plus(+) except two attributes.

  • The purpose of this study was to seek for solutions of activating convention hotels entering to the newly created market, focused on the case study of the convention hotel in KangwonLand in the competitive MICE environment. According to the analysis for reception setup for MICE, it is urgently required to improve shopping facilities, securing manpower, the accessibilities in KangwonLand convention hotel. This study suggests several ways to identify differentiation such as facilities discriminations, reasonable prices when holding conventions/events. It is also proposed that there is a need to focus incentive tour when marketing. To succeed in hosting events of MICE at the convention hotel, it appears to be considered to host large scale of domestic or overseas events, to measure reasonable room rates, promote niche market through middle or small scale events, attract customers to revisit and save transportation costs for participants. From the study, it is expected to find efficient ways to activate convention hotels through MICE market entry.

  • A convention is a customary channel that not only distinguishes the contemporary urban fantasy contents from other genres but also feels familiar with users for its currency. To begin with, the study defines the fantasy investigating the types of the fantasies, the time and the space which are regarded as the world of the fantasy, the fantasy storytelling and the convention, the custom of the fantasy. Next, the meaning and the convention of the contemporary urban fantasy contents are discussed. Ultimately, through the contemporary urban fantasy contents analysis, the study traces changes in the fantasy genres understanding how the convention destruction of the fantasy genre generates the convention in contemporary urban fantasy contents. Finally, the study proposes the directions of the convention in contemporary urban fantasy contents production which would provide us with a new experience and a dimension of fun.
