Usage Analysis of Multi-mouse Mischief for ESD (ESD를 위한 멀티마우스 Mischief 적용분석)

  • As the interest in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) increases worldwide in and around UNESCO, the aids for IT equipment and the donations for educations to developing countries are being active. Through Powerpoint-based teaching and learning contents simply authored by teachers, Mischief can be used to help many children in self-driven class activities. In this paper, we developed an additional program to control mouse pointers of Mischief with image files, size, and speed factors. Then we applied them to elementary students for enhancing their interest and participation to class activities.

  • Future computer interface was interchanged with person's hands or eyes from traditional mouse. In this research, I developed glove type radio mouse using gyro sensor that is replaced mouse cursor movement with persons's hand movement. Introducing a mobile sensor network technology based on bluetooth, radio mouse connected to computer system wirelessly for overcoming wire mouse's activity restrictions. Also, using USB port interface made be easy to install and to use. Developed glove type radio mouse was confirmed in the possibility of using as well as an input pointing device for presentations or games that needed many kinds of user interaction.

  • 개인용 컴퓨터의 급속한 보급으로 인해, 1인 1PC 시대에서 한사람이 2대 이상의 PC를 사용하는 시대로 변화하고 있다. 요즘에 많은 컴퓨터 사용자들은 여러 대의 컴퓨터를 사용하여 업무를 수행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 사용자에게 편리한 작업 환경을 제공하고, 이를 통해 생산성 증가시키기 위해서 네트워크로 연결된 2대 이상의 PC 입력 컨트롤러(키보드, 마우스)를 통합하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 개발할 시스템은 기존 소프트웨어 혹은 KVM에서 제공하지 못하는 두 시스템간의 Clip board 및 파일의 공유 기능을 제공하여 사용자로 하여금 1대의 PC를 사용하는 것과 같은 작업 환경을 제공한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Kinect 기반의 모니터 제어 기법을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 기법은 Kinect의 Joint 기능을 활용하여 신체의 구조를 인식하고 손과 머리의 Joint를 받아온다. Kinect의 카메라는 손 동작을 추적하여 Joint 신체 부위에 해당하는 Joint 값을 모니터의 좌표 값으로 변환함으로써 손 동작에 따라 마우스를 움직이는 기능을 구현한다. 그리고 파워포인트에서 사용하는 F5, Esc, Right, Left 키에 대하여 Joint의 좌표 값이 일정 범위를 초과하면 마우스 클릭 이벤트를 발생하도록 구현함으로써 파워포인트의 슬라이드 화면을 제어하는 기능을 구현한다.

Head Mouse System Based on A Gyro and Opto Sensors (각속도 및 광센서를 이용한 헤드 마우스)

  • We proposed the device to control a computer mouse with only head movements and eye blinks so that disabilities by car or other accidents can use a computer. The mouse position were estimated from a gyro-sensor which can measure head movements, and the mouse events such as click/double click were from opto sensors which can detect the eyes flicker, respectively. The sensor was mounted on the goggle in order not to disturb the visual field. There was no difference in movement speed between ours and a general mouse, but it required 3$\sim$4 more times in the result of the experiment to evaluate spatial movements and events detection of the proposed mouse because of the low accuracy. We could eliminate cumbersome work to periodically remove the accumulated error and intuitively control the mouse using non-linear relative point method with dead zones. Optical sensors are used in the event detection circuitry designed to remove the influence of the ambient light changes, therefore it was not affected in the change of external light source.

  • Alternative computer access devices are one of the ways for the physically disabled to meet their desire to participate in social activities. Most of these devices provide access to computers by using their feet or heads. However, it is not easy to control the mouse by using their feet, head, etc. with physical disabilities. In this paper, we propose a computer access system for the physically disabled. The proposed system can move the mouse only by the user's gaze using the eye-tracking technology. The mouse can be clicked through the external button which is relatively easy to press, and the character can be inputted easily and quickly through the voice recognition. It also provides detailed functions such as mouse right-click, double-click, drag function, on-screen keyboard function, internet function, scroll function, etc.

A Study on interaction factor in intuitive gesture (직관적 제스쳐 인터랙션 요소 추출에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 사용자에게 편리하고 자연스러운 인터페이스를 제공하는 직관적 제스쳐 인터랙션의 요소 추출에 대해 분석하였다. 대학생 30명을 대상으로 마우스와 키보드의 8가지 기본 인터랙션 요소를 제시하여 그 요소와 적합한 의미의 어휘를 선택하도록 설문을 실시하였다. 다음으로 선택한 어휘가 가지는 의미를 표현한 제스쳐를 빈도수에 따라 최종 선정한 후 검증을 실시하였다. 첫 번째 설문시 마우스의 상하좌우 이동과 ESC의 의미는 30명 전원이 상하좌우 이동과 취소라는 동일한 의미를 선택하였다. 마우스의 좌클릭은 30명 중 28명이 선택, 우클릭은 26명이 설정 탐색, 키보드 엔터의 경우 25명이 실행이라는 의미를 선택하였다. 최종 선정된 제스쳐의 검증 결과 상하좌우 이동과 취소 요소로 제시했던 손전체 상하좌우 이동과 손전체X는 70~100%의 높은 결과가 도출되었으며, 선택 요소로 제시했던 정지상태 검지손 아래는 60%의 결과가 도출되었다. 설정 탐색을 위해 제시되었던 손전체 회전과 중지손 클릭 중 손전체 회전이 60%의 결과를 도출하였으며, 중지손 클릭은 선택과 하단 이동이 73%로 설정 탐색의 요소로는 적합하지 않은 것으로 도출되었다. 실행 요소로 제시했던 손전체 두번 클릭은 27%의 낮은 검증 결과가 도출되어 적합하지 않은 것으로 제시되었다.

Implementation of Mouse Function Using Web Camera and Hand (웹 카메라와 손을 이용한 마우스 기능의 구현)

  • In this paper, we proposed an algorithm implementing mouse functions using hand motion and number of fingers which are extracted from an image sequence. The sequence is acquired through a web camera and processed with image processing algorithms. The sequence is first converted from RGB model to YCbCr model to efficiently extract skin area and the extracted area is further processed using labeling, opening, and closing operations to decide the center of a hand. Based on the center position, the number of fingers is decided, which serves as the information to decide and perform a mouse function. Experimental results show that 94.0% of pointer moves and 96.0% of finger extractions are successful, which opens the possibility of further development for a commercial product.

  • In the development of various types of sensor technology, the general users smartphone, the environment is increased, which can be seen in contact with the movement recognition device, such as a console game machine (Nintendo Wii), an increase in the user needs of the action recognition-based input device there is a tendency to have. Mouse existing behavior recognition, attached to the outside, is mounted in the form of mouse button is deformed, the left mouse was the role of the right button and a wheel, an acceleration sensor (or a gyro sensor) inside to, plays the role of a mouse cursor, is to manufacture a compact, there is a difficulty in operating the button, to apply a motion recognition technology is used to operate recognition technology only pointing cursor is limited. Therefore, in this paper, using a MEMS-based motion-les Koguni tion sensor (Motion Recognition Sensor), to recognize the behavior of the two points of the human body (thumb and forefinger), to generate the motion data, and this to the foundation, compared to the pre-determined matching table (moving and mouse button events cursor), and generates a control signal by determining, were studied the generated control signal input device of the computer wirelessly transmitting.

Efficient Fingertip Tracking and Mouse Pointer Control for Implementation of a Human Mouse (휴먼마우스 구현을 위한 효율적인 손끝좌표 추적 및 마우스 포인트 제어기법)

  • This paper discusses the design of a working system that visually recognizes hand gestures for the control of a window based user interface. We present a method for tracking the fingertip of the index finger using a single camera. Our method is based on CAMSHIFT algorithm and performs better than the CAMSHIFT algorithm in that it tracks well particular hand poses used in the system in complex backgrounds. We describe how the location of the fingertip is mapped to a location on the monitor, and how it Is both necessary and possible to smooth the path of the fingertip location using a physical model of a mouse pointer. Our method is able to track in real time, yet not absorb a major share of computational resources. The performance of our system shows a great promise that we will be able to use this methodology to control computers in near future.
