A Study on the Deformation Characteristics of the Roof Signboard Size in Wind Pressure Formation (풍압 형성에 따른 옥상광고판 크기별 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study numerically examined the maximum wind pressure distribution of a billboard on the roof of a middle-rise building. The deformation caused by the maximum wind pressure was examined. For the numerical analysis, the signboard was assumed to be installed on $(b)20m{\times}(d)10m{\times}(h)$ buildings. The maximum wind pressure was measured using four models with the standard model and different sizes of the signboard. The numerical analysis showed that the horizontal deformation predominantly occurs as the shape of the signboard becomes closer to a rectangle, and high wind pressure and deformation occur at the corners of both ends. As the height of the signboard increases, vertical deformation predominantly occurs, and static pressure forms on the backside. When the height is lower than the width of the signboard, the wind pressure is concentrated on the center of the roof. Therefore, the distribution of the maximum wind pressure is stable, and the effect of the wind pressure is relatively low as the height-to-width ratio approaches 1.

  • This study summarizes basic results on the characteristics of mean wind pressure distribution on rectangular low-rise buildings with various breadths and depths through simultaneous multi-point wind pressure test. 5 types of rectangular wind pressure test models with various breadths and depths have been made for this study. Wind pressure tests are conducted on the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel at Kumoh National Institute of Technology. The characteristics of mean wind pressure distribution with respect to various breadths and depths of low-rise buildings are analyzed into windward face, leeward face and side faces of building. From the results, new wind pressure coefficients and simplified wind load estimating formula for the resonable design of the structural frames of low-rise building were proposed.

  • In this study, unsteady wind pressure analyses on platform screen door (PSD) have been conducted considering the flow intereference effects between the moving train and the configuration of subway station. The major role of PSD prevents passenger accidents, wind pressure, polluted dust and noise when the train is entering the station platform. Computational fluid dynamic method with moving gird algorithm has been adopted to accurately predict unsteady pressure levels exerted on the PSD. Closed and open type station configuration are considered. Also, wind pressure levels for passing and stopping drive motion of the entering train are presented and practically compared each other.

  • In recent trends of the enlargement and specialization, container ship, LNCG, PCC and passenger ship which have relatively large hull and superstructure above the water line, are already being operated in the world It is very important information for the safety operation of these vessels to estimate the ship's performance under the specific wind condition while berthing, unberthing or low-speed sailing. In this paper, the effect of wind force and moment acting on the training ship HANNARA is investigated by using the numerical calculations. The results of drift angle and counter rudder angle with the relative wind direction and force, the critical wind velocity with the ratio of wind velocity and ship's speed and maximum heeling angle with the wind velocity are shown The presented results can be applied directly to T/S HANNARA in berthing maneuver and avoiding typhoons, and utilized as an educational materials.

Ship's Maneuverability & Required Number of Tug Boat in Strong Winds for the T.S. HANBADA (실습선 한바다호의 강풍시 항내 어프로칭 조선 및 예인선 사용 기준에 관한 연구)

  • T.S. HANBADA has a relatively large hull and superstructures above the water line, so she has much of leeway or turning of bow with the effect of winds. Especially on berthing, unberthing and/or sailing on low speed, these effects take place more significant. Therefore, it was carried out the numerical calculation of the wind force and moments acting on the T.S. HANBADA, and then calculated the leeway angle and counter rudder angle with the relative wind direction and velocity. Also, it was suggested the maximum wind velocity which could be berthed or unberthed used by bow thruster and the tugboat operations in strong winds. These results will be great helpful to the vessels with large superstructures on ship's handling in harbour or tugboat operations.

  • This research describes system implementation for automatic inspection on wind pressure sensor production based on reliability improvement. The reliability is minimized by the automatic inspection system on the wind pressure sensor against the manual system. The system consists of the control system and monitoring system to be scanning the inspection processing. The inspection system for reliability is evaluated in Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility. The experimental results are improved about 2 times speed, measured error ${\pm}0.02V$, effectiveness 15%, missing probability 17% and false alarm 12% respectively. The system will be also improved by database and the product barcodes for the total quality control system based on the effective reliability in the future.

  • When constructing a high-speed railroad, the reduction of the distance between track centers and the width of track bed will save the construction cost. However the shortening the distance between track centers may cause the stability problems due to higher wind pressure. Therefore the extensive technical review and aerodynamical study should be performed to determine the adequate distance between track centers. In this study, the impact that the increase in wind pressure due to the change of aerodynamic phenomena with the change of the distance between track centers may have on two trains passing by each other was predicted, and the stability of train operation was analyzed in order to review the distance between track centers suitable to Honam HSR trains. We conducted the parametric study of the effects of train wind on the running stability.

  • 도로 및 철도에서 발생하는 소음을 저감시키기 위해 설치되는 방음벽은 흡음률, 투과손실 등과 같은 음향성능 외에도 태풍과 같은 강풍에 견딜 수 잇는 구조성능이 확보되어야 한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 지역별 특성 및 풍속을 고려한 풍압을 산정하는 방법을 소개하고, 풍압에 의한 방음판의 구조해석을 수행하였다. 또한, EN 1794-1의 규정에서 정하는 시험방법에 따른 방음판의 하중변형량 시험을 통하여 방음판의 구조성능을 평가하였다.

Measurement and Analysis of Wind Response of InCheon Bridge (인천대교의 풍응답 계측 및 분석)

  • 장대 케이블 교량의 풍응답을 계측할 수 있는 무선센서네트워크 기반의 풍응답 계측시스템을 개발하고, 이를 사용하여 인천대교의 시공단계별로 고유진동수, Mode Shape과 같은 Modal Parameters의 변화를 추정하고 보강형에서의 풍압분포와 보강형, 주탑, 케이블의 가속도를 계측하여 내풍 성능을 분석하였다. 개발된 계측 시스템은 인천대교 사장교의 전체 거동을 계측할 수 있도록, 1.5km 범위에 넓게 분포된 최대 55 Nodes에서 최대 1kHz의 동기화된 계측을 수행할 수 있으며, 각 Node별로 3축가속도나 풍압을 측정할 수 있다. 전체 Node에서 가속도를 계측하는 경우에는 최대 165 Channel을 1kHz로 측정할 수 있다. Modal 해석의 경우에, 고가교, 접속교, 사장교 주탑, 보강형, 케이블의 시공 단계별 동특성의 변화를 추정하였으며, 고가교에서는 모드해석을 통해 역추정한 구조계수를 정적재하실험 및 실험실에서의 Mold 시험결과와 비교하였으며 사장교 케이블에서는 케이블 댐퍼의 성능을 분석하였다. 또한 인천대교 보강형에서의 풍압분포를 계측하였으며, 풍압의 공간상관관계를 분석하였고, 풍하중 및 풍진동 특성을 분석하여 가속도 계측 결과와 비교하였다. 계측 및 분석 결과를 바탕으로 장대교량의 내풍성능을 확보하고 향상시키는데 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
