해양플랜트 산업은 광의에서는 해양자원을 활용하거나 이용하기 위한 일체의 설비이나, 협의로는 해양 석유 및 가스 탐사, 굴착 및 생산하기 위한 설비를 의미한다. 해양플랜트 서비스 산업은 해양플랜트 건조 이후의 산업으로 크게 운영사업(생산 및 유지보수)과 지원사업(운송, 설치, 부대사업 등)을 통칭하는 개념이다. 우리나라는 해양플랜트 건조산업은 세계 1위에도 불구하고 서비스 산업에 진출한 기업이나 인력은 거의 없는 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 우리나라가 해양플랜트 서비스 산업에 진출하기 위한 정책대안을 제시하고자 한다.

Drones, which were first developed for the military use, have been widely applied in various industrial fields through the rapid development of element technology. Following this trend, the marine industry has started to utilize drones for maintenance and inspection purposes, especially, in Europe. To extend the use of drones in the marine industry, this paper first discusses the necessity of drones for the marine use by presenting problems related to maintenance and inspection works on ships and offshore plants. In addition, the technical levels of advanced countries where drones have been commercialized already in the marine industry are mentioned. Furthermore, technical challenges that must be solved are explained in preparation for a drone era in the marine industry. Lastly, the potential growth of the drone market in the marine industry is considered.

This paper is a study on validation model that can verify the arrangement of equipment constituting offshore plant using system engineering approach in offshore plant tender stage. In order to design offshore plant topside maintenance equipment, topside layout verification should be preceded. However, there are many errors in the bidding stage due to the FEED results that are not perfect, the verification can not be performed sufficiently due to the limitation of the bidding period and others reasons. Therefore, we propose a validation model that can effectively verify the equipment layout within a limited condition by simplifying the main process in the system engineering process, which is a multidisciplinary approach, and confirmed through the Functional Deployment Model. Also, we verified the validation model for topside equipment deployment through case studies.

Domestic offshore business is oriented toward building drill-ships, FPSOs(Floating Production Storage and Off loading). But the equipments needed for offshore platforms are not so developed in Korea because the equipments can not be verified in Korean territory where the offshore platforms are not stationed. This study aims at finding some methods on entering into OSI for the maintenance and disassembly of fixed offshore platforms. Slack model is adopted to find out how slack assets could play a role in penetrating foreign markets. Firstly, entry into the South East Asian market is recommended. Secondly, forming a consortium is suggested by which taking part in offshore market can be easier. Finally, strategic plans for obtaining the technology for ship building equipments are needed as well as government support.

A maintenance system for an offshore plant uses an optimal maintenance method, process, and period based on operation information data and economic evaluation techniques. Maintenance is performed after one or more indicators show that equipment is going to fail or that equipment performance is deteriorating. A maintenance system is based on the use of real-time data to prioritize and optimize the LNG-FPSO topside equipment resources.

Unlike general ships, offshore plants require high reliability due to their long operating time at fixed positions when they are operated. Sensor-based status information is required for user and maintenance worker to ensure safety. In this paper, we propose a monitoring system for safety diagnosis and inspection of cargo lift for offshore plant. It consists of a sensor unit mounted on the cargo Lift, an embedded system measurement unit, and a monitoring unit for real-time data verification. It is based on the ship standard network IEC 61162-450 for the exchange of operating information and sensor measurement information in accordance with the upgrading and integration of equipment in maritime.

In this paper, a maintenance system is developed for LNG-FPSO topside and hullside equipment based CBM (Condition Based Maintenance) methodology. First, the development system defined the PWBS(Product Work Breakdown Structure) of major equipment of LNG-FPSO. Second, the development system developed the failure analysis, economic evaluation for optimal maintenance plan and database systems that save and manage information about equipment, failure mode, failure rate and failure cause. Finally, the verification of the development system was applied to the inlet system of topside and the pump tower system of hullside and the system was confirmed the effectiveness of CBMS(Condition Based Maintenance System).

An offshore plant needs costly maintenance and has difficulty coping with various accidents coming from the exposure to the environmental threats such as typhoons, tidal waves and etc., in addition to the artificial ones such as fire, collision of ships and etc. In this paper, we develop the video-complex remote monitoring system for an offshore plant, using AtoN AIS and multi-stage database to monitor an offshore plant and solve those problems. The system handles real time video cameras to collect and monitor images on an offshore plant. So, users can be exactly and quickly aware of the information on various situations with the monitoring application based on ENC.
