A phenomenological convergence study on the experience of middle-aged men menopause (중년 남성의 갱년기 경험에 관한 현상학적 융합 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the meaning of menopausal age experienced by middle-aged men and to understand the nature of menopause perceive. Data were collected using the qualitative research method and Colaizzi's method was used to analyze. The results of the study showed that six categories and 19 themes and 44 themes of Physical changes, Psychological changes, Changes of work performance, Positive changes, Climacteric perception, Overcoming menopause The results of this study are expected to use basic data for the development and application of nursing intervention program from a future perspective.

Hermeneutic Phenomenological Study on Beginning Science Teachers' First Three Months Teaching Experience (초임 과학교사들의 교직 첫 3개월간의 경험에 대한 해석학적 현상학 연구)

  • This study is a hermeneutic phenomenological study on the experiences of 10 beginning science teachers who have been building positive or negative identity as teachers for the first 3 months. This study was conducted by four steps of the phenomenological qualitative research process suggested by Yeu (2015) based on the study of hermeneutic phenomenology suggested by van Manen (1990). The main data of this study is the transcription data of the telephone interviews collected in consideration of the working area of the research subjects. The main theme is found by categorizing and conceptualizing the meaning of the phenomenon revealed in the data and the process of confirming the legitimacy of the main theme. The results of this study show that the experiences of beginning science teachers that could affect their positive identity as teachers have common moments when they realize that 'I am a necessary person for someone'. On the other hand, the teachers create negative teacher identity when they doubt their teaching competency, particularly when they are not confident about their attitudes toward students or when they are unable to engage students actively in lessons. The results of this study provide important implications for pre-service science teacher preparation program in Korea.

The Analysis of Nonlinear Hydrologic Phenomenon with Uncertainty (불확실성을 고려한 비선형 수문현상의 해석)

  • 본 연구에서는 비선형적인 메커니즘을 갖는 수문현상의 불확실성을 해석하고자 하는 목적으로 새로운 개념의 지배방정식이 유도된다. 제안된 모형의 불확실성은 토양 특성치의 공간적 변동성에 기인하고 있는 것으로 가정하여, 유도된 방정식은 Fokker-Planckl 방정식의 형태를 가지고 있다. 실제 유역단위에서 토양 내 수분 흐름의 연직방향 흐름을 모의하기 위해 미소단위에서 유도된 Richards 방정식은 토양의 공간적 변동성으로 말미암아 불확실한 매개변수를 갖는 비선형 추계학적 편미분방정식의 형태를 갖게 된다. 이는 먼지 수직 방향적분을 통하여 단순화된 비선형 추계학적 상미분방정식으로 전환되고, 이렇게 전환된 비선형 추계학적 상미분방정식은 다시 추계학적 Liouville 방정식을 이용하여 선형 추계학적 편미분방정식으로 전환되어진다. 최종적으로 cumulant 급수방법을 이용하여 상기 방정식을 선형 결정론적 편미분방정식으로 전환시킴으로써, 강우 시 토양 내 수분 침투현상을 모형화할 경우 유역단위에서 토양의 공간적 변동성을 설명할 수 있는 지배방정식을 유도할 수 있다.

The Convergent of Phenomenological Methodology of Mothers of Children with Atopic Dermatitis: Focus on the Experience of Family Management Style (아토피 피부염 자녀를 둔 어머니의 현상학적 방법 융합 연구: 가족관리방식 경험을 중심으로)

  • In this study, phenomenological methodology was used to understand the experience of family management style in mothers who have children with atopic dermatitis. For study methods, in-depth interview was conducted on 9 mothers residing in Seoul and the approach from phenomenological methodology by Colaizzi was used. As a result, 69 significant statements were deduced as well as 21 themes, 10 theme clusters, and 4 categories. These main categories include experiences of accepting atopic dermatitis as a reality, family management style for overcoming atopic dermatitis, reality of facing chronic fatigue, and hope and expectation for the child's health. Our study show that the intervention for improving family management style regarding atopic dermatitis is required including the enhancement of the mothers' quality of life and the recovery of family relationship.

  • The Journal of Digital Policy & Management. This space is for the abstract of your study in EnThis research aims to analyze the difficulties associated with the squash referee's decision by using the phenomenological analysis of Giorgi. With such approach, this paper investigated the fundamental causes of the difficulties of the decision making process of the referee, and then argues the needs for eliminating such causes. Five referees were recruited as the study participants, among the experienced referees with more than 10-year experience and 2nd grade certification, issued by the Korea Squash Federation. The research was conducted between June 2015 and July 2016. Participatory observation, semi-structured in-depth interview. Following Giorgian four-step phenomenological analysis, all transcribed interview data were categorized into three components-'problems from the individual situation', 'problems from the social situation', and 'problems from the circumstantial situation'. Although the referees are one of major factors that determine the success and failure of the game, their working condition is far from the ideal, as observed in the problems above. Therefore, to improve the quality of the judgement, it is most important to reward the referees, who are the subject of the decision, with better economic treatment. Such improvement of the working condition of the referees is also highly related with the reproduction and professionalization of the referees.

Suggesting Research Methods to Explore the Nature of Earth Science: Applying the Phenomenological Approach and Family Resemblance Approach to NOS (지구과학의 본성에 대한 연구방법 제안 -현상학적 접근 및 과학의 본성(NOS)에 대한 가족유사성 접근의 활용-)

  • In this study, we propose research methods to explore the nature of earth science by applying the phenomenological approach and NOS-family resemblance approach based on literature review. The phenomenological approach exploring the nature of earth science is a method of collecting, analyzing and synthesizing multifaceted features of earth science from intuitive sensory phenomena without prejudice. As a way of exploring the nature of earth science from a phenomenological point of view, we propose the NOS-family resemblance approach to the NOS. This approach provides a comprehensive explanation of NOS by combining the characteristics shared by different areas of science with distinct differences. Applying this method to exploring the nature of earth science, we can identify both domain-general and domain-specific characteristics that make sub-areas of earth science a 'family.' For example, through the networking of features shared by such sub-areas as geology, atmospheric science, oceanography, astronomy, earth system science, etc., we can extract the family-resemblance characteristics that make these sub-areas a family called earth science. Through these approaches to the nature of earth science, the richness, complexity, and dynamic nature of earth science can be revealed as a whole. In addition, we will be able to grasp the change in the sub-areas that constitute the earth science, which in turn changes the nature of earth science, and to contribute to establishing the status and development system of earth science as a school subject.

  • The extreme didactic phenomena that occur by ignoring or overemphasizing the process of personalization/contextualization, depersonalization/decontextualization of mathematical knowledge is always in our teaching practice and in fact, seems to be a kind of phenomena that suppress teachers psychologically or didactically. The study of the problems on error, misconception or obstacles revealed by students has been done continuously, but that of the extreme didactic phenomena revealed by teachers has not. In this study, I will explain four extreme didactic phenomena and help you understand them by giving various examples from several case studies and analyzing them. And also, I will discuss the way to overcome the extreme didactic phenomena in the mathematical class, based on this analysis. This thesis will become a standard of didactic phenomena that are proceeded extremely by having teachers reconsider their own classes and furthemore, will offer the research data for considering better didactic situation.

  • 최근 지구온난화와 기후변화에 관련된 각종 징후들이 여러 분야에서 주요 화두로 자주등장하고 있다. 이들은 주로 평균기온의 상승이나 강우패턴의 변동 등과 같은 기상학적 특성변화를 중심으로 다루어지고 있는데 이를 수문학적 관점에서 유추해 본다면 물 순환과정(hydrological cycle)내 성분별 거동양상의 변화로 해석할 수 있을 것이다. 유역의 특성을 파악하고 발생할 수 있는 수자원의 양적 불균형에 따른 문제점을 탐지하여 그에 대비하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 신속한 정보의 제공이 우선되어야 한다. 또한 이러한 정보를 이용하여 유역의 습윤 및 건조 상황을 모니터링하거나 예측하기 위해서는 즉각적이고 연속적인 정보의 수집이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 기 수행된 연구결과를 바탕으로 기후학적 물수지 방법에 의하여 1998년부터 2004년까지의 금강유역에 대한 습윤지표를 산정하였다. 그러나 습윤지표가 유역의 습윤 혹은 건조상태를 반영한다고 하나 습윤지표에 익숙하지 않은 사용자의 경우 직관적으로 이 지표만을 이용하여 유역의 상황을 판단하기에는 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 습윤지표를 통계학적 분포특성에 따라 유역의 습윤 및 건조 상황으로 분류하는 방법을 제안하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 당시 지역적 실제 현상과의 연관성 등을 통하여 가뭄을 평가하는 방법을 제안하고 자 한다.
