  • Urethane, epoxy, acrylic have common property to adhere on the concrete dried surface in the waterproofing materials at present. In the wet condition, however, the materials such as urethane, epoxy, acrylic need a long hardening time and it become a reason of water leakage as the materials breaking down. it is one of the problem to adhere to the substrate. Therefore, in this thesis, I focused to assure the structural safety and durability and quality for waterproofing and safe of construction cost by cut down the cost of labor and reduce the term of works as searching the application of field condition for hish adhesive spray type of degenerated and rubberized asphalt membrane material.

  • Microarray and proteomic expression patterns in response to cadmium exposure were analyzed in human lung epithelial cells. Among 35,000 genes analyzed by cDNA microarray, 228 genes were up-regulated and 99 genes were down-regulated, based on a fold change cut-off value of ${\geq}2$. Combining two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time-of-flight-mass spectrometry (MALDI-ToF-MS), 25 of 629 protein spots showed fold changes in expression ${\geq}2$ (17 up-regulated, 8 down-regulated). After comparing the cDNA microarray and proteomic analyses, only transglutaminase 2, translation elongation factor 1 alpha 1, and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase showed overlapping signals in the cDNA microarray and proteomic analyses, whereas the remaining differentially expressed proteins showed large discrepancies with respect to mRNA expression.

  • As a new approach to analyze grinding energy, this paper introduces a specific grinding energy model based on the average grain. Using this model, grinding characteristics such as radial and tangential forces, specific grinding energy of SM45C were investigated altering grinding variables such as workpiece velocity(v) and apparent depth of cut(Z) in down-surface grinding. From the experimental results, there is no significant difference between the radial, tangential forces and vertical. horizontal forces because of small contact angle between wheel and workpiece. The specific grinding energy decreases as the maximum undeformed chip thickness increases. But, there is much difference between the specific grinding energies of the existing and the proposed model.

  • High-speed machining is one of the most effective technologies to improve productivity Because of the high speed and high feed rate, high-speed machining can give great advantages for the machining of dies and molds. This paper describes on the analysis and evaluation of cutting force in high-speed machining. Cutter rotation directions, slope directions, spindle revolution and depth of cut are control factors for cutting force. The effect of the control factors on cutting force is investigated for the high speed machining of STD11.

  • My company develops, manufactures injection mold and produces thin-walled cosmetics and food containers. Without high quality and low production cost, it is hard to compete in the market. To be competitive, a company has to utilize mold with as many cavities as possible to lower manufacturing cost. Eject plate abrasion and deformation cut down mold lifespan, troubles during injection lower productivity and foreign substances in molds cause abrasion. This study focuses on how to improve mold life and productivity, and to slow down mold abrasion.

  • Hot air thin layer drying method was studied for red pepper, Capsicum annum var. longum as the whole and cut pod states, at various temperature and air velocities. Drying curve of whole pod showed a settling down period followed by the first and second falling rate periods. By lowering the drying temperature, the first falling rate period approached to a constant rate one. Cut drying curve had simple falling rate period and also cut drying method could effectively shorten the drying time. Drying rate constant, k, was varied with time for both the drying methods and the plots of k vs. time in two methods sugested the different drying mechanisms. When an average k was taken as a constant value, the following equations; $M-M_e/M_o-M_e=e^{-0.118t}$ and $M-M_e/M_o-M_e=e(-0.342t^{0.128})$ were applicable for whole and cut drying, respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose a bias random vector generator which can verify functions of microprocessor effectively. This generator is a pre-processor of assembly program, and defines pre-processor instructions which create random vector only in the part which the designer wants to verify. Therefore, this generator shows higher detection ration than any other generators. And, we can cut down design costs because of shortening a period for verifying function.
