  • Unlike the conventional dramas, most of characters of tvN drama speak dialectic from Chonnam province. I could predict that watching this drama would influence the feelings, cognitions and behaviors of youth from that province. By interviewing 7 participants, I found that they felt strong familiarity with little exceptions. They recognized the being of dialectic and discovered the attractiveness of dialectic, and the necessity of preservation also. After watching the drama participants made a resolution to speak dialectic more, and made active actions to meet contents and people about dialectic. In conclusion, dialectic could be developed as an important element for interesting contents. The drama has a power to influence youths to change the feelings, recognitions, and actions. So I assert that the use of dialectic in the drama should be considered discretely and positively.

  • We propose to use independent component analysis (ICA) and deep neural network (DNN) to detect music sections in broadcast drama contents. Drama contents mainly comprise silence, noise, speech, music, and mixed (speech+music) sections. The silence section is detected by signal activity detection. To detect the music section, we train noise, speech, music, and mixed models with DNN. In computer experiments, we used the MUSAN corpus for training the acoustic model, and conducted an experiment using 3 hours' worth of Korean drama contents. As the mixed section includes music signals, it was regarded as a music section. The segmentation error rate (SER) of music section detection was observed to be 19.0%. In addition, when stereo mixed signals were separated into music signals using ICA, the SER was reduced to 11.8%.

  • A drama, generally composed of dozens of times, is one of the most popular broadcasting program genres, and it has the characteristics that the status and interrelationships of characters are changing as time goes on and important acts affecting the story occur sporadically. Therefore, when viewers missed some times in the middle of a drama, it is difficult to understand the drama without the changed information on the characters and notable actions. This paper proposes a data service which provides the updated information of the characters and important acts based on the drama scene. The data service has the characteristics that it provides the information on the characters shown in the current drama scene, and the information about the people mentioned in the dialogue in the scene. This paper includes a general introduction to the data services, the formal definition of the drama scene identification and character information, and an DVB-SI-based method for transmitting the information to the data service.
