Features Of Psychological And Pedagogical Conditions For The Development Of Motivation Of Applicants For Higher Education

  • The article analyzes the psychological and pedagogical scientific literature on the problem of motivation of students' educational activity, compiled and implemented a diagnostic research program, studied the system of conditions for the development of motivation for educational activity of students, compiled and implemented a program for the development of motivation for educational activity of students, highlighted the features of motivation for educational activity of students and conducted a comparative study analysis.

The Educational Needs of Mothers of Nephrotic Syndrome Patients and the Degree of the Importance of Educational Activity Perceived by Nurses (신증후군 환아 어머니의 교육요구와 간호사가 인지한 교육활동의 중요도에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This is descripitive study conducted to identify educational needs of mothers of nephrotic syndrome patients and the degree of the importance of educational activity perceived by nurses who look after nephrotic syndrome patients. The study subjects were composed of 60 mothers & 63 nurses of nephrotic syndrome patients whose children were hospitalized in 2 Pediatric wards of University Hospital in Seoul and 1 in Pusan from Mar. in 1997 to July 1997. A questionaire for this study was item Kikert type 5 point scale, developed on the basis of previous literature and researcher's clinical experience and the reliability of the used instruments was α=.97. The data analysis was done by SAS. t-test, and ANOVA were done to determine the effect of general characteristics of subjects on their educational needs. T-test was done to measure relations between the degree of educational needs and importance of educational activity. The results were as follows. 1. The Educational needs of mothers ranked as the highest in home care. 2. In character of mothers, the degree of education, economic state, the number of child and occupation was significant in statistically. 3. The importance of educational activity of nurses ranked the highest in diagnosis and treatment of the disease. 4. The educational needs of nephrotic syn. children' mother and importance of nurses were different in diagnosis and treatment of the disease and home care. On the basis of these results, we suggest as follows. 1. It is proposed that nurses use these results of the study actively for the educational program for Nephrotic Syndrome patients and their mothers. 2. It is suggested to make a comparative study of the degree of nurses' understanding of the importance on educational items with the instruments of this study.

Analysis on educational activity related to oral health contained in teachers guidebook of the Nuri curriculums (누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 구강보건 관련 교육활동 분석)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate on educational activity related to oral health contained in teachers guidebook of the Nuri curriculums. Oral health educational activity were analyzed the distribution, form and type, Nuri curriculum related factors contents category and contents. Number of oral health educational activity was 29(1.37%). Activity form was big and small group activity are 15(51.72%), free choice activity are 14(48.27%). Activity type was the highest in the big and small group, with 7(24.13%) talk together and free choice activity was the highest in 4(13.79%) rhythmic region. Nuri curriculum related factors(Five areas) was highest with 22(34.38%) physical exercise health. Based on the results, the oral health professional will participate in teachers guidebook of the Nuri curriculums. The oral health professional will need to reorganize in a more balanced and practical activity.

The Effects of Educational Activity in Relation with Nuri Curriculum in Green Growth Education Programme for Young Children on Their Knowledge in Environmental Conservation, Sensitivity to the Natural Environment and Attitudes in Environmental Conservation (누리과정과 연계한 유아녹색성장 교육활동이 유아의 환경보전지식, 자연환경감수성 및 환경보전태도에 미치는 효과)

  • This study's aims at seeking ways to support educational activity in 'Green-Growth' for children, in order for children to practice green life from their infancy and studying effects of their educational activity in knowledge of environmental conservation and receptivity to the natural environment, attitudes in environment conservation. This study conducted a survey of fifty-four children of five years of age attending the kindergartens in the Metropolitan City of Incheon. Twenty-seven were classified in the experimental group and the remaining Twenty-seven were in the comparative group. For the statistical analysis of the data collected, the t-test and the analysis of covariance(ANCOVA) were conducted using the SPSS WIN 17.0 program. The findings of this research are as follows: the children of the experimental group who experienced educational activity in green growth, demonstrated higher score than those of the comparative group in knowledge of environmental conservation and receptivity to the natural environment, attitudes in environment conservation. The result of the research indicates that educational activity in green growth, for children, enhances their knowledge in environment conservation, the receptivity to natural environment and the positive changes of attitudes in environmental conservation. It is then advisable to integrate and apply educational activity in green growth to the curriculum of kindergartens from early childhood.

  • Education using the internet, such as a virtual school and distance education, has been limited to the studies of content and method in learning, It has been less studied to make advantage of internet with regard to school administration, teachers' research, and efficient communication within a school. Therefore, it is suggested to implement groupware which can be used in a school environment. For this purpose, this study attempts to design and implement groupware on that purpose. The main content consists of 7 areas: introduction of the school(including children's room), notice room, working room, room for educational materials, individual information, parents' room, internet journey. The basic tool for a groupware is implemented on Windows NT 4.0 Server and subsequent IIS 2.0. DB management based on SQL Server 6.5 makes it enable to manage various information.

A Study on Creativity According to Young Children's Gender and Intelligence (유아의 성별과 지능에 따른 창의성의 차이 연구)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine how children's creativity varies depending on gender and intelligence. Methods: The participants of this study were 100 five-to-six-year-olds from a kindergarten in city S. Collected data was analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0 program. I conducted t-tests to examine differences in intelligence and creativity according to gender, and used two-way ANOVA for inspecting the differences according to gender and intelligence. Furthermore, I used additional one-way ANOVA for inspecting the interaction-effect of gender and intelligence concretely. Results: As a result, there are no differences in creativity according to a child's gender, but there are some variations in intelligence according to gender. In addition, the aspect of the relationship between children's creativity and intelligence varies according to gender. Conclusion/Implications: It is meaningful that this study determined that gender and level of intelligence influence an improvement in creativity. This study supplies variables and directions to be considered when an educational activity or program is developed for young children.

  • The school system of fisheries high school was proper to specialist objective school system in order to training for expert human resource development.Training a field of human resources development from fisheries high school is fallow; fisheries production, seamen's training, ship engine and refrigerator, marine electronic telecommunication and information, fisheries foods production and fisheries foods production and distribution, fishery fisheries self-management, marine distribution, management and conservation of marine environment, safety and marine prevention of disasters, apparatus of marine development, under water area development.A new department opening and each department was revised toward to department name and department character. The unit-lesson hour of curriculum according to specialist objective school system of fisheries and marine highschool was revised. professional subject 98 unit-lesson hour(52%), normality subject 90 unit-lesson hour(48%), and educational activity of professional subject 10unit-lesson hour, total training activity 10 unit-lesson hour. And the special objective school system need to revise curriculum of 208 total unit-lesson hour.

The Olympic Mathematics Education in China

  • The research on the Olympic mathematics education has become an internationally recognized educational activity. In some cities of China, especially big cities, the Olympic mathematics education is developing like raging fire. Many parents send their children to training school to get the Olympic mathematics education, no matter whether the children are willing to or not. They hope that through the training, their children can be outstanding when entering higher school. However, this practice has deeply affected children's learning initiative. In this paper, we analyzed both the history and the present situation of the Olympic mathematics education in China. We have some suggestions based on the problems emerging nowadays.

The Effect of In-patient Guide Movie and Booklet Programs on Understanding of Hospital Life and Satisfaction with the Programs (동영상과 책자를 이용한 교육이 환자의 입원생활 이해도와 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study was intended to determine how an in-patient guide movie enhanced the understanding of hospital life. Method: A non-equivalent control group post-test design was used for the study. The experimental group was allowed to watch the in-patient guide movie. The in-patient guide booklets were given to the control group for reading. The understanding and satisfaction of the respective programs were surveyed with questionnaires. The data was analyzed using SPSS. Result: The movie watching experimental group had better understanding on the hospital life than the booklet reading control group. The movie watching group had more satisfaction with the guide program than the booklet reading group. The understanding of the hospital life and satisfaction with the program had relevance. Conclusion: This study suggests that the in-patient guide movie would help the would-be in-patients understand and adapt to the hospital life better. Therefore, the in-patient guide movie is considered to be a useful medium to educate in-patients for their hospital life.

A study on the Comparison of Cognition of Instruction Teacher and Student-teacher about Role of Industry Vocational Subject Educational Practice Instruction Teacher (공업계열 전문교과 교육 실습 지도 영역에 대한 지도 교사와 교육 실습생의 인식 비교)

  • The purposes of this study are to grasp industry vocational subject student-teachers' instruction area, compare cognitive level of cooperating teacher and student-teachers for the importance of instruction area and secure base data required to develop educational practical area of professional teachers in specialized high school. To achieve this, instruction area of instruction teacher in charge of industry vocational subject pre-teacher education was developed by document consideration and expert verification and differences of importance cognition for the area was compared between educational practice insturction teacher and student-teacher. The results are as the following. First, for the instruction areas that educational practice instruction teachers should teach student-teacher, there are 7 categories, 17 mid-fields and 85 subsections. Especially expert group suggested an opinion that areas of teacher's values and personality formation should be added to pre-teachers. And, they judged that category of school business showed low validity for educational practice instruction teacher's instruction area. Second, educational practice instruction teacher importantly cognized 'class activity', 'student instruction and class management' and 'development of desirable view of education attitude'. On the other hand, they cognized 'development and management of curriculum', 'support on educational activity', 'industrial-educational cooperation and tie with local community' and 'specialty improvement' less importantly. Student-teachers cognized 'class activity', 'student instruction and class management', 'specialty improvement', 'development of desirable view of education attitude' importantly. They cognized 'development and management of curriculum', 'support on educational activity' and 'industrial-educational cooperation and tie with local community' relatively less importantly. Third, both educational practice instruction teachers and student-teachers importantly cognized 'class activity', 'student instruction and class management' and 'development of desirable view of education attitude'. However, student-teachers importantly cognized, but educational practice instruction teachers didn't importantly cognized 'specialty improvement'. Both two group cognized 'development and management of curriculum', 'support on educational activity' and 'industrial-educational cooperation and tie with local community' less importantly.
