Domestic Research Trend of College Students' Start-up and Entrepreneurship (국내 대학생 창업에 대한 연구 동향)

  • This study analyzed the research trends of college students' entrepreneurship in 172 scholarly articles in the registered journals of the Korea Research Foundation from 2010 to 2018. The results of this study are as follows: First, the research areas and topics on university students' entrepreneurship focuses on not only characteristics of entrepreneurship and entrepreneur but also entrepreneurship education. Also, the research method was dependent on the quantitative research method coupled with the statistic techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation, t-test, ANOVA, regression analysis, and structural equation modeling. In future research, it is necessary to expand research areas to startup idea design, startup business environment and policies. Also, it is necessary to explore various variables related to entrepreneurship, not focusing on specific variables such as entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education as well as to analyze meta analysis of the relationship between the variables influencing on the entrepreneurial intention. In addition, qualitative research and mixed research are needed to explore the process of developing entrepreneurship and the factors affecting the process of entrepreneurship.

  • The entrepreneurship education for promoting the entrepreneurship is(has been) rapidly proceeded in recent year. In spite of increasing importance of entrepreneurs for successful new venture creation, structured educational programs for entrepreneur development are very limited in Korea. This paper is to develop the new entrepreneurship education in universities and graduate schools. For this entrepreneurship education program development, the survey is designed to Babson College which is voted "The Entrepreneurship Education's Best College" by US News & World report thirteen years in a row. Program development model of entrepreneurship education indicates an entrepreneurship education model, a subject model and a curriculum model through the analysis of a syllabus, the interviews with students, a fieldwork. Based on these literature review was organized research papers, documentary records, small and medium business administration research data. And program designing and implementing stage was composed of analyzing each subject of plan and education training, interviewing with Babson College's students. And observing the field. In addition, the tool of analyzing was collected a course in entrepreneurship education, related matters, a learned society, a research institute at Babson College and some books on pedagogics.

A Study on the Effect of Entrepreneurship Education on Career Decision for College Engineering Students (창업교육이 공과대학생의 진로결정에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the effects of entrepreneurship education on the career decision of students in the College of Engineering. The purpose of this study was to examine the perceived desirability, perceived feasibility and the career decision - making effects of career decision - making self - efficacy as subjects of entrepreneurship education. This study was carried out by using PLS 3.0 for engineering students in an university. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, it shows that entrepreneurship education has a positive impact on perceived desirability, perceived feasibility. Second, perceived desirability and perceived feasibility have different effects on career decision making and entrepreneurship intention. Third, career decision self - efficacy affects entrepreneurship intention and career intention in career decision making. The results of this study suggest the importance of entrepreneurship education for career decision making and provide meaningful implications for educators and policy developers.

  • This study aims to analyze of existing concepts of female entrepreneurship, evaluation of women's entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan and development of recommendations for its development in the country. This paper begins by reviewing research on female entrepreneurship. In this research, authors proposed the methodological tools based on systematic approach using economic and statistic methods and 5Ms concept. Analysis algorithm consists of four stages: evaluation of women entrepreneurship scale and business directions, analysis of employment in women's enterprises and business environment in Kazakhstan. The main limitation of this study was the lack of some gender-related indicators on the development of entrepreneurship. Further, the obtained results showed strong and weak points of female entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan. According to the results, there has observed increase in contribution of women in social-economic development of the republic, women's entrepreneurial activity is increasing, and the number of enterprises headed by them is growing. However, the growth of female entrepreneurship occurs while maintaining their insignificance in terms of turnover and number of employees. There is a pronounced industry specificity of female entrepreneurship: the service sector. In accordance with this, there were identified priority areas and there were developed recommendations for the development of female entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan.

A Study of the Entrepreneurship and Social Capital in Organizational Performance

  • In this study, we used 170 copies of the 190 questionnaires from March 18 to April 20, 2018, except for 20 that can't be used as statistical value. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between organizational entrepreneurship and social capital, organizational performance, and the relationship between entrepreneurship and social capital. The main implications of this study are as follows. First, the entrepreneurship of the executives recognized by the organization members has a positive influence on the social capital in the organization. In other words, the higher the entrepreneurship of management, the higher the social capital in the organization. Second, the effect of the entrepreneurship of the management on the organizational performance is shown to have a statistically significant positive effect. In other words, the entrepreneurship of management was a key factor in achieving organizational performance. Third, social capital in the organization has a statistically significant effect on organizational performance. In order to improve organizational performance, it is necessary to systematically improve and reinforce entrepreneurship and social capital in management. On the other hand, it is considered that the executives' entrepreneurial spirit consistent with the characteristics of the company type, management environment, and organizational members should be continuously demonstrated, and the implementation plan for the social capital in the organization should be developed. Therefore, high quality organizational performance for corporate sustainability management emphasized the importance of executive power on the systematic and continuous implementation of management entrepreneurship and the improvement of social capital for strengthening cohesion.

A Study on the Standard Model of Entrepreneurship Index (우리나라 기업가정신 모델 수립에 관한 연구)

  • Many institutes such as Bank of Korea, Samsung Economic Research Institute and Chamber of Commerce announced Entrepreneurship Index models. But, due to the arbitrary measurement model and the survey of each institute, there is a misled in the understanding and model of entrepreneurship. In addition, there is no research about comparative study of Entrepreneurship Index until now. In this study, we suggest our own Entrepreneurship Index model based on the literature review of Entrepreneurship Index. This model enables the objective measurement of Entrepreneurship Index. Above all, we suggest advantages and disadvantages of existing Entrepreneurship Index model systematically and the direction of Entrepreneurship Index.

  • Today, the world economy is changing rapidly thanks to the rapid progress of glottalization and the development of technology. It is important to analyze and offer specialized start-ups effect factors for collegians in order to systematically and successfully support technology-centered start-ups of collegians. Through which Entrepreneurship and job creation in developed countries. This study explores the current status and characteristics of Entrepreneurship education in Korea and suggests some directions for effective management of Entrepreneurship education.

  • The concerns for entrepreneurship education has increased significantly in decades. Government asking to university to teach the entrepreneurship on the undergraduate and graduate level. Existing graduate-level entrepreneurship program is not enough for the reciprocal relationship among the subjects. This study review the university's entrepreneurship program in the domestic and abroad. We suggest the process and algorithm based education program which is The Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization.

  • Our government has proposed entrepreneurship as an alternative way to invigorate economy. Because of this, entrepreneurship education is endless issue. Nevertheless, entrepreneurship education is still in lack in Korea. Entrepreneurship education is being done voluntarily in commercial vocational high school and university in Korea. Whereas entrepreneurship education is being done more systematic and professional in the early stage. In this paper, the policy proposals have been proposed on the basis of comparison between domestic and overseas entrepreneurship education.

The Effects of Entrepreneurial Self-efficacy on Entrepreneurship of University Students: Moderating Effects of Entrepreneurial Education and Career Uncertainty (예비창업자의 창업효능감과 기업가정신의 관계: 창업교육 및 진로불확실성의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • Recently, domestic universities have emphasized career path to start-up through entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) and entrepreneurship. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of ESE on entrepreneurship of university students. Also we examine the moderating effects of entrepreneurial education and career uncertainty between ESE and entrepreneurship. Research sample consisted of 236 university students in Cheonan city. The results of this research is as follows: First, ESE showed a positive effects on entrepreneurship. Second, the moderating effect of entrepreneurial education was significant on the relationship between ESE and entrepreneurship. In other words, university students with a higher entrepreneurial education showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was lower. But students with a lower entrepreneurial education showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was higher. Finally, the interaction effects of career uncertainty was confirmed in relationship between ESE and entrepreneurship. In other words, university students with a higher career uncertainty showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was higher. But students with a lower career uncertainty showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was lower. In order to improve the entrepreneurship of the pre-founders, it is necessary to strengthen the behavior control of university students by enhancing the ESE. Also, the improvement of entrepreneurship of pre-founders should strengthen the ESE of university students, and should complement systematic and effective entrepreneurship education. In particular, we should provide the stability for career decision by eliminating uncertainty about the career path of university students.
