  • This study estimates a structural model to examine the causal relationships among web browsing, switching cost, and site retention in the context of apparel shopping website. A total of 499 usable questionnaires were obtained from consumers aged from 20 to 49 years. For data analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural model were used. The result showed that consumer's perceived switching costs consisted of three factors: relationship cost, search cost and benefit loss cost. In estimated structural model, the relationship cost was influenced by leisure browsing; the search cost was influenced by informational browsing and leisure browsing; the benefit loss cost was influenced by leisure browsing. Especially, the leisure browsing was the most highly related to the benefit loss cost, and followed by relationship cost and search cost. However, hedonic browsing was not significantly related the factors of switching costs. The search costs significantly affected customer's intentions for site retention. A managerial implication was discussed for e-retailers in order to develop strategic switching costs in building long-term relationships with web browsers on the apparel shopping websites.

To achieve the goal of this study, a total of 250 questionnaires were distributed and 250 copies were collected back. Out of those returned questionnaires, insincerely replied or double-replied questionnaires were excluded and finally 234 questionnaires were analyzed for this study. For analysis of the data, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equating modeling were conducted using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Main findings were as follows: First trust of instructors had a positive effect on leisure benefit. Second, leisure benefit had a positive effect on resilience. Third, trust of instructors had a positive effect on resilience. Fourth, leisure benefit mediated the relationship between golf participant trust of instructors and resilience. • The relative importance of leisure trip has been increased after adopting the five-day workweek system and considering the higher income level. Thus, the value of travel time for intercity leisure trips should be estimated to conduct a reasonable benefit/cost analysis for railway construction projects. In this paper, the value of travel time was estimated separately for each trip purpose such as business, leisure, and other non-business than leisure. The estimated values of leisure travel time ranged from 5,310 to 14,185 (won/hr) by altering travel mode, and were increased by 42-107% when comparing with those of non-business travel time. Besides, how to apply the value of intercity leisure travel time for B/C analysis of railway projects was suggested. For the construction case of a railway connecting Chuncheon and Sokcho, the estimated benefit was increased by 2.3%.

  • Objectives: We aimed to examine the effects of various leisure activities on cognitive impairment in young-old (aged 65-74 years) and old-old (aged ${\geq}75$ years) adults. Methods: In total, 10,279 elderly Korean individuals from the 2014 Korean National Survey on Older Adults' cohort were enrolled in our study. Cognitive impairment was assessed using the standardized score of the Mini-Mental State Examination for Dementia Screening, whereas leisure activities were recorded via self-reporting of the extent and type of leisure activity the subjects involved in over the past year. Multivariate logistic regression was used to assess the effect of leisure activities on cognitive impairment, while controlling for potential covariates. Results: The subjects were more likely to participate in cognitive activities than in non-exercise physical activities. After controlling for selected covariates, involvement in cognitive activities was found to be a significant predictor of cognitive impairment in both the groups, whereas involvement in non-exercise physical activities was not a predictor of cognitive impairment in individuals aged ${\geq}75$ years. Moreover, depressive symptoms, rural residence, and hearing difficulties were common predictors of cognitive impairment among elderly-Korean-individuals. Conclusion: Leisure activity involvement may help delay cognitive impairment, which is often concomitant with aging. Hence, an early intervention service may significantly benefit both young-old and old-old individuals.

  • Since 1989, 9 major complex have been invested with government funds, for the purpose of developing agricultural tourism to increase agricultural income and job opportunity, as well as providing urban population leisure opportunity. However, systematic and comprehensive approaches were rarely done in analyzing its economic impacts. This study, therefore, focuses on analyzing tourism effect and its economic value and implication for a representative rural tourism site,"Daeho rural tourism complex". To analyze travel pattern, expenditure pattern, and degree of satisfaction from travel to Daeho complex, Travel Cost Method(TCM) was employed based on survey method. Results from linear model with statistical significance implies that tourism benefit for each visitor is 28,373 won and total annual benefit for the Daeho site is 7 billion won. Considering annual benefit stream, the present value of total benefits are 132.9 billion won and 70 billion won at 5% and 10% of discounting rate, respectively. Using the values of benefit estimated from this study and investment cost, B/C ratio, IRR, and NPV were calculated to be 1.01, 1.67 billion won, and 5.19% at 5% of discounting rate. These results could be directly compared with the previous analyses.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the personal and social environmental factors affecting leisure time physical activity (LTPA) among adults living in rural communities. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with a convenience sample of 282 adults living in three rural towns of Chungcheongbuk province. Leisure time physical activity was assessed through the Korean version of the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ), and social influence and social cohesion of social environment were assessed using reliable and validated measures. Multiple logistic regression analysis was conducted to explore personal and social environmental factors associated with LTPA. Results: The overall prevalence of leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) was 40.0%. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that LTPA participation was associated with gender (OR=2.60, 95% CI=1.47-4.58), healthy eating (OR=1.15, 95% CI=1.01-1.31), unhealthy eating (OR=0.70, 95% CI=0.53-0.93) and social influence for physical activity (OR=1.11, 95% CI=1.03-1.20). However, social cohesion was not correlated with engaging in LTPA. Conclusion: Both personal and social environmental factors are associated with LPTA among rural adults living in Eup-Myen regions. Interventions to promote LTPA would likely benefit from considering healthy dietary intake and social influence for physical activity.

This research analyzed the best important tourist resource among the main tourist resource by perception interviewing local residents and related professionals. This study shows that the leisure resource was most important resource field in Jeong-Seon. So more attention to the leisure resources and investment them. Among natural attraction resources 'Hwa-Ahm cave and Hwa-Ahm mineral water' is estimated to have most potential for the strategic financial support. In leisure sector 'High One resort' is judged to be more important attraction resource by professionals but a case of local residents 'Dong-gang Rafting' and 'Rail Bike' were estimated more important resources rather than 'High One resort;. Lastly, in cultural resources, although the importance is a bit behind natural attraction and leisure resources, 'Jeong-Seon 5th day market' and 'Araree village' should be the core linking other related cultural resources. In order to activate tour industry and development of Jeong-Seon area, it is necessary to find identify of regional owned attraction resources and to build tourist attraction infra structure by selecting core bases of existing major attraction points and linking other various resources to those core bases.

By identifying the relationship between these factors, benefit of line dancing by middle-aged and old women will be confirmed. The result of this study are as follows. First, group participating in 2 hour class of line dancing had highest leisure satisfaction. Secondly, in analyzing the effect of leisure satisfaction on self-esteem, health factor was the only sub-factor of leisure satisfaction to impact self-esteem. Thirdly, in analyzing the effect of leisure satisfaction on quality of life, health factor was the only sub-factor of leisure satisfaction to have effect on quality of life sub-factors, such as daily life satisfaction, emotional satisfaction, and environmental satisfaction. Fourthly, self-esteem also directly affects quality of life. Since health factor of leisure satisfaction directly affected self-esteem and quality of life, a causal relationship can be seen between the three variables: leisure satisfaction, self-esteem, and life quality.
