  • 새로운 엔진과 차량을 개발하여 엔진을 차량에 탑재할 때, 중요하게 고려해야 할 사항 중의 하나는 냉각 성능이다. 만약 냉각 성능이 열악하다면 엔진은 과열되어 파손되게 된다. 그러나 자동차회사에서 일반적으로 엔진은 차량보다 훨씬 빠른 시기에 개발이 진행되게 되어 엔진을 차량에 탑재한 조건에서 냉각 성능을 시험할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 몇 가지 시험과 계산 결과를 이용하여 엔진의 냉각 성능을 추정하였다. 첫 번째로 엔진의 열정산 시험이 진행되었다. 두 번째로 냉각수 유동 시험이 진행되었다. 이 시험에서 라디에이터로 유입되는 유량을 구할 수 있다. 그리고 차량의 냉각 시험 성능 조건으로부터 차량의 부하와 속도를 구하고, 이로부터 엔진의 토크와 rpm이 계산되었다. 그리고 이러한 결과를 비교하여 엔진의 냉각 성능이 추정되었다.

철도교용 IT거더의 피로특성 (Fatigue characteristics of the IT girder for railroad)

  • In designing a railroad bridge, the fatigue is one of the main factors to be considered for ensuring safe operation. Especially, for a new type of a structural member, which has not been adopted to railroad bridges, the fatigue performance should be checked. In this paper, the fatigue characteristics of an IT girder are examined. The IT girder is a new type of a prestressed concrete girder which has two prestressed H-beams in the top of the girder to give the girder additional sectional capacity. To obtain the fatigue performance, a 10m IT girder specimen is designed, and a repeated load test is performed by applying the load cyclically two million times. The magnitude of the repeated load is determined considering the stress level under the service condition. During the test, static load tests are performed to identify the stiffness degradation. The fatigue performance of the girder is checked according to the Japanese and the CEB-FIB design codes. The fatigue test result shows that the IT girder satisfies both design codes.

나선철근 원형교각의 연성 및 내진성능 (Ductility and Seismic Performance of Spirally Reinforced Bridge Columns)

  • The objectives of this study are to investigate seismic performance of spirally reinforced bridge columns and to provide test result for developing improved seismic design criteria. Quasi-static test was conducted for 12 columns of which variables were transverse reinforcement ratio and spacing, longitudinal reinforcement ratio, and axial load level. Sufficient seismic performance was observed from the test for the columns with greater confinement steel amount than the requirement of the Korean Bridge Design Specification. The columns with 0.84% of the confinement steel requirement provided adequate performance under less than 0.2 of axial load level, but showed lower ductility under 0.3 of axial load level. The current provision for the region of confinement steel distribution may be non-conservative under high axial load level, therefore a modified provision is proposed.

  • 본 논문은 철도차량용 추진제어장치의 성능평가를 위한 관성부하 시험설비의 구조안전성 및 동특성 평가를 연구하였다. 추진제어장치는 철도차량의 핵심 부품으로서 차량에 적용하기 전에 안정성 및 신뢰성 검증이 충분히 이루어 져야 한다. 따라서 추진제어장치의 성능시험을 위한 관성부하 시험설비를 이론식을 바탕으로 하여 설계하였다. 설계된 관성부하 시험설비에 대해 Ansys v11.0을 이용하여 구조해석을 수행하였으며, ADAMS를 통해 동특성을 평가하였다. 관성부하 시험설비의 구조안전성은 조합하중하의 베어링에서 안전계수가 10.2로 만족하였다. 또한, 동적 시뮬레이션에 따른 플라이휠은 0.83mm이내의 최대진폭변위로 구조적 안정성이 확보되었다.

  • The Load Rejection to House Load test at 100% power was successfully performed during the YGN 4 PAT period. In this test, all plant control systems automatically controlled the plant from 100% power to house load operation mode. The LTC code, which was used in the performance analysis during the design process of YGN 3&4, predictions of the test agreed with the measured data demonstrating the validity of the code as well as the completeness of the plant design.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 성능적 내화설계를 기반으로 한 철근콘크리트 기둥의 내화성능 평가를 최종 목표로 철근콘크리트 기둥의 열전달 해석을 통한 온도분포와 재하가열실험을 통한 수축량으로 적정 축력비를 도출하여 성능설계를 위한 기초 자료로 활용하고자 하는데 있다. 편심이 전혀 없는 순수축력을 기준으로 축력비 0.30, 0.35, 0.40, 0.47을 재하한 결과, 0.40 이상의 축력비를 확보하여야 내화성능을 만족할 수 있다고 판단하였다.

  • This paper is aimed to investigate structural performance of flexural members enlarged with epoxy mortar at soffit. Main test variables are steel ratio and interface treatment method and six test beams are tested to investigate the effect of each test variables on maximum load capacity, load-deflection and moment-curvature relationship, interface behavior and failure mode. Test results show that section enlarged beams can carry almost same load of the monolithic beams with same size and the flexural stiffness and cracking moments are increased about 2.5 times and 50 to 70%of failure moment in comparison with same sized control beam, respectively. However, deflections and curvatures are decreased at the same load and interface fractures are not discovered at the ultimate load.

  • 국내의 내화성능평가는 대부분 사양적설계 방법인 품질시험을 통해 이뤄지고 있다. 하지만 시험 특성상 많은 비용과 시간을 요구하며 다양한 건축구조에 대한 내화성능평가에는 어려움이 많다. 따라서 본연구에서는 성능적 설계를 위한 연구로 유한요소 구조해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS를 사용해 H형강 휨재를 대상으로 변수에 따른 열응력 해석을 통해 내화성능을 검토하며, 하중비별 한계온도를 제안한다.

부하테스트를 이용한 금융 시스템의 성능개선 사례 (A Case Study for Improving Performance of A Banking System Using Load Test)

  • In this paper, we describe a case study to improve performance through the load testing of multi-tired system for financial accounts before the system opening. The load test was conducted after the data collection tools(Performance Monitor, DB PSSDiag) were installed. By analyzing the collected log, we were able to identify the main sector requiring performance improvements among the presentation tier, web tier, business logic tier and data tier. The ASP.NET server-down on the web tier could be improved by modifying the parameter values in the configuration file. Some server downs occurred on the business logic tier when a large number of users access at the same time, were more difficult to be solved. By analyzing the hang-dump at the server-down time, we were able to find a process that caused the problem. and we had to modify the relevant codes. For major performance improvements of the data-tier, indices of some queries was optimized by using the built-in DBMS query analyzer, after analyzing the log of long-response-time queries. The problems and solutions considered in this case study will be a reference for the performance improvement of a multi-layer system with the similar structure.

함정탑재장비용 대용량 마운트의 성능시험평가 (Experimental Evaluation of the Performance of Large-Capacity Mounts for Naval Shipboard Equipments)

  • Mounts for shipboard equipment in naval ships play an important role for vibration and shock suppression. New large-capacity resilient mounts, SDR-D30 and SDR-D45, have been developed. This paper involves performance tests for the mount which have maximum load of 30 kN and 45 kN, respectively. The performance tests have been carried out for several mounts based on military standards, such as MIL-M-19863D(SH), MIL-M-21693C(SH), MIL-M-17508F(SH), and MIL-S-901D(NAVY). The test items consist of deflection at upper rate load test, dynamic stiffness, uniformity, static load-deflection(axial, transverse and longitudinal), drift test, fatigue test, and shock test. From these performance tests, it is confirmed that the two mounts have good performances based on military standards.
