Analysis and Implementation of a Web Document Converter for Wireless Internet Use XHTML On Mobile Communication Environment

이동통신환경에서 XHTML을 이용한 무선인터넷 문서변환기 분석 및 구현

This paper is purposed in design and implement of a device which can convert XHTML documents in web-Server into WML documents when users access the web by using portable devices. Users access XHTML(so-called HTML) web page and ask for informations, this document convertor recognizes of XHTML documents structures, reconstructs into simple WML documents by using and tags. Also document converters construct XHTML documents structure by conversion, transposition and deletion of other tags and images. As a result, because of the features of well-formed XHTML, it showed higher validity in 1:1 tags mapping with WML than any other Markup Language.

본 논문은 사용자가 휴대용 단말기를 이용하여 기존의 웹에 접속시 웹서버내의 XHTML 문서를 WML 문서로 변환하는 도구의 설계·구현을 목적으로 한다. 사용자가 XHTML(또는 기존의 HTML문서)의 웹페이지에 접속해 정보를 요청하게 되면 본 문서 변환기는 XHTML 문서 구조를 인식하고, 기준이 되는 기준 텍스트 정보를 추출하여 이를

와 태그를 이용하여 간결한 WML 문서로 재구성하게 된다. 또한 이에 맞게 기타 태그 및 이미지 등을 변환·치환 또는 제거함으로써 구조화시킨다. 그 결과 well-formed한 XHTML의 특성으로 인해 기존의 어떤 마크업언어보다 WML 문서와의 1:1 태크 매핑의 효율이 높음을 알 수 있었다.
