Analyses of Security for Software Attack

Software security is about making software behave correctly in the presence of a malicious attack, even though software failures usually happen spontaneously in the real world. Standard software testing literature is concerned only with what happens when software fails, regardless of intent. The difference between software safety and software security is therefor the presence of an intelligent adversary bent on breaking the system.
