Design of a Compact Antenna for DTV Reception

Abstract

In this paper, a digital terrestrial TV reception antenna which can be applied to the fade zone was designed and investigated. The proposed antenna was configured for a wire antenna structure with $16cm{\times}14cm$, and the antenna parameters are calculated by using the MoM method. The proposed antenna can be used to the receiver for domestic digital broadcast in UHF.

본 논문에서는 난시청 지역에서 활용 가능한 지상파 디지털 TV 수신용 안테나를 설계하고 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 제안된 안테나는 $16cm{\times}14cm$ 크기의 와이어 안테나 구조를 가지며 MoM법을 이용하여 안테나 파라미터를 계산하였다. 제안된 안테나의 경우, 국내에서 시행되고 있는 UHF 대역의 디지털 방송 수신이 가능함을 확인하였다.
