간흡충의 미세횡조에 관한 연구 IV. Laurer's canal의 기능

A Study on the Fine Structure of Clonorchis sinensis, a Liver Fluke IV. Probable Function of the Laurer's Canal

간흡충(Clonorchis sinensis) 각기관의 미세구조와 그 기능에 관하여는 이제까지 많은 연구결과가 발표되어 왔으나 Laurer's canal에 대해서는 그 구조와 기능에 관하여 별로 보고된 바 없었으므로 저자는 이의 기능을 간접적으로 증명할 각종증거를 수집하기 위하여 광학현미경을 비롯하여 투사전자현미경 및 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 정자 및 난자의 주된 통로가 되는 수정낭, 정자관, 대수정관, 자궁 및 Laurer's canal 등을 면밀히 관찰하였다. 그 결과 자궁내에서도 부위에 따라 간욕적으로 정자가 관소되는 예는 있었으나 여러가지 정황으로 보아 자관이 정자의 주된 통로가 되지 않는다는 것은 명확한 사실이라 하겠다. 그렇다면 가능한 결론은 대량으로 생산 ·사정되는 정자들이 수정란에 도달하는 통로는 유일하게 Laurer's canal 뿐이라는 것이다. 이제까지의 관찰에 의하면 Laurer's canal은 잘 발달된 환상승섬유로 둘러싸여져 있으며 관내의 상피조직은 모종의 분필기능을 가지고 있는 것으로 사료되나 이에 관하여는 추후 자세한 연구가 요구되고 있다고 하겠다.

A study on the function of the Laurer's canal of Clonorchis sinensis was conducted with help of the light microscope, the transmission electron microscope, and the scanning elctron microscope. Some selected sexual organs concerning with the passages of the spermatozoa and the eggs were observed in detail. The conclusion of this study is that the Laurer's canal may be the copulatory organ of the female reproductive system as Miyazaki et al. suggested in case of lung flukes.
