Abstract

Astragali Radix, the roots of Korean Astragalus membranaceus BUNGE (Leguminosae), was extracted and fractionated. One fraction of them exhibited anti-Herpes Simplex (type I) activity ($ED_{50}=3.403\;{\mu}g/ml$).
