Abstract
Do Korean researchers in the field of library and information science really provide practitioners with knowledge and information needed in their efforts to improve library and information services\ulcorner If so, to what degree do the researchers excercise such intellectual leadership in the profession\ulcorner This study is intended to seek answers to these questions. A sample of 589 administrators and librarians working in public, research and university libraries was requested to respond to the questionnaire posted in June of 1995. Data gathered from the responses were analysed to find how, for what purposes, to what degree, and what kinds of, research outputs in the profession practitioners utilize in their provision of services to users.
본 연구는 문헌정보학분야의 연구성과가 도서관 및 정보봉사기관의 현장에서 어떻게 받아들여지고 있으며, 현장업무개선에 어떻게 활용되었는지 조사하여 연구성과가 우리나라 도서관 봉사 및 정보봉사 발전에 실제로 어느정도 기여하는지를 분석하고, 연구자들이 앞으로 연구주제를 선정하는데 고려해야 할 근거를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 도선관의 관리자와 실무자들이 문헌정보학분야의 연구논문을 어느 정도 읽고 있으며 이용빈도, 이용논문의 주제, 논문의 종류, 논문의 이용목적, 논문의 출처, 논문의 출처, 이용논문의 출판시기, 업무개선 사례 및 기대하는 연구주제 등에 대하여 관종별, 직급별, 근무연수별로 조사 분석하였다.
