Synthesis and Physical Properties of Solution Type Acrylic Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives

초록

Quarternary polymers (EBVM) were synthesized by polymerization of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, vinyl acetate, and maleic anhydride. Solution type acrylic pressure-sen-sitive adhesives (PSA's) of melamine derivative (EBVMM) were prepared by crosslinking of EBVM with butoxymethyl melamine. The adhesion properties of EBVMM were evaluated using polyester films coated with this PSA's. EBVMM-2 showed peel adhesion of 900 g/inch width, shear adhesion of 1700 mins, and tackiness of 14/32. It has been proved that the acrylic PSA's developed in this study can be used as a permanent PSA's.
