정보검색 교육의 개선방안 연구

A Study on the Reformation of the Education Model of Information Retrieval

본 연구의 목적은 정보·통신기술의 발전에 따른 정보검색 환경의 변화 및 정보검색서비스의 실제적 요구에 상응하는 정보검색 교육모델을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 기술 방법론적, 사회·경제적 환경변화와 정보검색서비스 전문가에게 요구되는 기능을 평가하였으며, 이어서 국내 대학 및 대학외 기관에서 이루어지는 정보검색 교육의 실태와 그 내용을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 새로운 환경변화와 이용자의 문제극복 과정에 참여하여 도움을 주는 정보검색서비스 전문가의 양성을 위해서는 교육내용의 확충과 보충이 요구되며, 이를 위해서는 이론교육과 실습교육으로의 이원화가 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a new educational model of information retrieval suited to the practical needs. For this, technical, methodological, social, and economic changes of information retrieval environment are analysed and the required roles for the information retrieval services are evaluated. In addition, this study investigated the educational situation of the subject of information retrieval at 32 universities and 2 institutions. The findings suggest that the subject of information retrieval should be seperated into theoretical instruction and practical hours in order to meet the new requirements.
