Evaluating Online Biographical Databases in Korea: A Comparative Study

Abstract

Current states of Korean biographical databases are evaluated based on the dissatis faction factors identified by a user survey. currency, coverage, completeness, and variety of the Korean biographical databases are evaluated and compared with overseas biographical databases. The results of the analysis are given with problems and suggestions for the future improvements.

온라인 상용 데이터베이스에 대한 이용자 불만족 요인을 기초로 하여, 우리나라 인물 데이터베이스를 분석 평가 하고 외국의 인물데이터베이스 현황과 비교하였다. 구체적으로 최신성, 포괄성, 완전성, 그리고 다양성을 평가하였으며 문제점과 발전방향을 도출하였다.
