Our study illustrates how the use of web materials written with Mathview affects vocational high school students' learning in terms of formative evaluation. Our first attempt to develop high school math with Mathview has been guided according to current math texts due to highly structured format of math contents and low learning competencies of vocational high school students. The 6 female students who participated for about 12 hours in this study revealed their responses through interview data. descriptive surveys and field notes. Contrary to the original expectation. the results of data analysis showed that the students seem to prefer using conventional learning methods even though they were motivated by powerful graphical display of Mathview and algebraic manipulation capability. 본 논문에서는 Mathview로 작성된 웹기반 학습 자료가 실업계 고등학생들의 학습에 어떤 영향을 끼치는지에 대한 내용을 담고 있다. 이 자료 개발은 수학의 구조적 특성 때문에 교과서 내용에 비중을 두고 제작되었으며 그 과정에서 실업계 고등학생들의 특성을 고려하였다. 본 연구에 참여한 학생의 수는 6명이며 그 여학생들은 모두 12시간에 걸쳐 면담, 서술식 설문지에 응답하였고 또한 관찰 기록의 대상으로 활동하였다. Mathview라는 소프트웨어가 지난 그래픽 제시 기능과 대수적 조작 기능에 따른 원래의 연구 기대치와 달리 학생들은 전통적인 학습 방법을 선호하였음이 드러났다. 이 연구 결과는 Mathview 자료 제작에서 평가용 항목의 추가와 보다 주의깊게 설계된 문서를 구성함으로써 개인별 학습에 따른 학생들의 작업 과정과 통합되는 설계의 방향을 제시하고 있다.
