초록

Internal and external stressors have long existed, and people adapt their bodies, minds, and spirits to their current life environment in different ways. Resilience is a personal quality that allows individuals and communities to grow, and to go so far as to thrive, in the face of adversity. It is an important area for the promotion of general mental health. Clinicians need to acknowledge the concept the resilience and facilitate its utilization in clinical practice, research, and health education. This article focuses on the assessment tools for resilience and reviews the instruments measuring resilience via a search of the literature. We evaluated the assessment tools for their psychometric properties and appropriateness for the study of resilience. Further studies, including clinical applications that explore the validity of already-developed tools and new research instruments, are needed for measuring resilience.
