Abstract

Generally, if the size of a building is larger than the specific size, walls of the building shall be fire resistance structures in accordance with the number of floor heights and the use of buildings. Interior space of the buildings shall be compartmentalized by fire resistance structures in accordance with the Korean building codes to protect the spread of flame and rapid temperature rise in fire. On this study, to confirm whether the window and the window wall composed of fire resistance glass and frames had the performance of fire resistance. the fire resistance test were conducted. As a result, the fire resistance window and window wall showed the fire resistance, 69 minutes and 66 minutes respectively. Therefore, It was confirmed that they could be used as the 60 minute fire compartment.
