Abstract
This study presented the structural characteristics of the roof type for 'ㅁ'-shaped housing and the possibility of sharing the floor and interior height because of the extension of bended-joint rooms and examined differences in the section plans between the 'connection type' and 'separate type'. ㅁ-shaped housing was divided into a total of four types according to the roof type and extension of ondol rooms. This study indicated various dimensions such as interior height, side wing(Ik-sa-chae)'s height, and top purline(Jong-do-ri)'s height and analyzed the local and historical characteristics. Finally, this study examined the utilization of multi-layered space in side wing by type through the analysis of various section sizes of main hall(An-chae). The study results enabled us to make causal inferences about the largest distribution of 'corner gambrel roof type'.
