Abstract

In the past, construction works were carried out by a generalized construction method. However, recently, as construction scale becomes high-rising and bigger, new technologies/new construction methods are being applied, and as legal regulations are expanded, construction delays are being frequently caused due to various uncertainties. Thus, in order to seek a methodology to cope efficiently with the schedule delays in construction of apartments, this study derived various influence factors of the schedule delays in apartment construction sites by responsibility group using a Delphi technique, and analyzed the importance of each influence factor through AHP technique to suggest the causes of occurrences and an improvement plan of major influence factors which urgently need to be improved by responsibility group in the future. In the future, a follow-up study is needed to expand the analysis object to general buildings, public works, etc. and compare analyze the causes of occurrence and improvement plans of construction schedule delays from various angles on all the responsibility groups who engage in construction works.
