Abstract

Objectives This study aimed to analyze research trends in the clinical application of Korean medicine for post-stroke gait disorders by reviewing studies retrieved from major Korean academic databases between 2015 and 2025. Methods We searched four major Korean academic databases for clinical studies published between January 1, 2015 and March 2025 that investigated Korean medical interventions for gait disorders following stroke. Results A total of 30 studies were identified and categorized by publication year, type of study, intervention methods, and outcome measures. Most studies employed integrative Korean medicine treatments, including acupuncture. Overall, 29 different gait-related outcome measures were used. Conclusions Although Korean medical treatments for post-stroke gait disorders have been actively utilized in Korea, there is a need for more structured and high-quality research in this area of research. This review is expected to serve as a foundational reference for planning and implementing future clinical studies.
