초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to develop a case study protocol for finalizing a Korean medicine clinical pathway (CP) for myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) by implementing a CP based on Korean medicine clinical practice guidelines established by clinical experts. Methods This study will follow a prospective case series protocol involving 60 patients diagnosed with MPS across various medical institutions, such as Korean medicine hospitals, university hospitals (general hospitals), Korean medicine clinics, and public health centers. During the study period, patients will receive Korean medicine treatment at least twice per week. To assess the clinical usefulness and satisfaction of both patients and medical staff after implementing the CP, a 10-point Likert scale questionnaire will be administered. This questionnaire will also evaluate the appropriateness of the CP and identify areas of improvement. Additionally, an open-ended questionnaire will be used to gather insights on any further requirements. Results The effectiveness and adequacy of the CP will be determined. Based on the questionnaire findings, the final version of the CP will be developed. Conclusions This evidence-based case study protocol is expected to contribute to the refinement and development of a CP for MPS.
