Taxonomic Review of Korean Rhynchites Schneider (Coleoptera: Rhynchitidae) with a New Record

Abstract

A taxonomic review of the Korean Rhynchites (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea: Rhynchitidae) was conducted, resulting in the first report of Rhynchites (Rhynchites) fulgidus Faldermann, 1835, from Korea. This study provides a re-description and diagnostic characteristics of the two Korean Rhynchites species, R. (R.) fulgidus Faldermann and R. (Epirhynchites) heros Roelofs. Additionally, a taxonomic key to two Korean Rhynchites species is presented along with a review of their taxonomic history.

한국산 복숭아거위벌레속(딱정벌레목: 바구미상과: 주둥이거위벌레과)의 분류학적 재검토를수행한 결과 애복숭아거위벌레(Rhynchites (Rhynchites) fulgidus Faldermann, 1835)를 국내 처음으로 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 한국산 복숭아거위벌레속 2종(애복숭아거위벌레, 복숭아거위벌레)의 형태학적 재기재를 제공한다. 또한, 한국산 복숭아거위벌레속 종들의 분류학사에 대한 고찰과 2종에 대한 분류 검색표를 제시한다.
