A transition to a cloud environment is essential for enhancing corporate competitiveness in the era of digital transformation. Yet, the essence of cloud migration goes beyond mere technological change: it is an opportunity to fundamentally reinvent a company's business model and establish unrivalled leadership in the marketplace. Throughout this transformation, organizations face a variety of challenges, including technical complexity, uncertainty, costs, and numerous variables requiring consideration. In response, this study proposes a dynamic framework that enables companies to efficiently implement their cloud transformation process even under these difficult circumstances. By assessing organizational readiness and the required application agility, four fundamental strategies-Swift, Renovation, Takeout, and Evolution-are derived. These allow firms to flexibly and dynamically adapt their strategic choices. The framework leverages scenario planning to address external uncertainties, helping organizations effectively manage the diverse risks that can arise during cloud migration. Through practical applications in the online retail and bio CDMO industries, this study demonstrates that this approach serves as a highly valuable method for guiding cloud adoption. Far from being a mere technological shift, the proposed dynamic cloud migration framework emerges as a potent tool for maximizing agility, competitiveness, and market leadership in the digital era.
