Abstract
In this study, the effects of atmospheric scattering signals caused by laser designation on a laser seeker were investigated. A computational simulation model was developed to evaluate the output characteristics of the laser seeker when scattering signals are incident on it. We conducted experiments on the effects of atmospheric scattering on the seeker and compared them with the model, confirming its suitability for laser seeker performance analysis. In an operational environment where both target and scattering signals coexist, the differences between the two signals were analyzed to access the performance of laser-guided munitions.
