Abstract

The associate graph of a finite commutative ring R denoted by Ass(R) with the elements of R as its vertices, and two elements are adjacent if they are associates of ring R. Topological indices are among the best applications for recognizing the physical properties, chemical reactions and biological activities. As graphs constructed from algebraic structures are symmetric, they have interesting properties that connect the chemical graph theory and network theory. In this paper, we find the values of some distance- and degree-based topological indices for the associate graphs of the commutative ring ℤp2 and ℤp3, where p is a prime number.
