This study aims to develop and validate the Agricultural Career Interest Inventory (ACII), a vocational interest scale tailored to the agricultural sector and grounded in Holland's Occupational Themes (RIASEC). Preliminary items were generated through a literature review and three rounds of expert Delphi surveys conducted from April 26 to May 23, 2023. An online survey was administered to 299 young farmers under the age of 40 between June 14 and July 14, 2023. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21 and AMOS 18 to examine the scale's reliability and validity. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) with 131 responses resulted in the selection of 24 items for the general tendency domain and 22 items for the agricultural activity preference domain. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was subsequently conducted with a separate sample of 168 participants to assess model fit, internal consistency, and convergent validity. The ACII, structured around six RIASEC subfactors across the two domains, demonstrated acceptable psychometric properties. These findings suggest that the ACII is a reliable and valid tool for assessing career interests among young individuals in agriculture and may serve as a practical framework for career guidance and field placement based on individual aptitude.
